This is such lovely place. The food is as lovely as place. This pub is located right by the Thames. It is a fairly large place with seating outside (in summers of course), inside and upstairs. The sunday roast is very famous locally and it keeps up to the name too. The staff is very friendly service is good too. One dish which I would really to mention is their pumpkin burger (vegetarian) which is really amazing.
It's always an easy option to have a meal here, the service is pretty relaxed and the food is reasonable. The decor is relaxed and being out in the suburbs, you can easily get a table here although perhaps not in summer on a hot day when they're doing a BBQ outside.
If you're lucky, you can nab a spot outside by the river and watch the world go by and in winter, there's a cosy air about the room that makes it easy to tuck into a hot meal.
The meals are a little expensive for what they are - £10 for a smallish main is fine in Central London but this is a very residential area and the food isn't that great that you don't leave feeling like you've overpaid. They do specials with 2 for £11.95 but unfortunately we hadn't seen the menu for this on our table and placed the order before we saw it - which is a bit of a shame, as it would have been a better deal to go with that.
But if you're staying locally or walking down the river, it's a nice place to stop off for a drink, especially in the summer.
Lovely location. Very open and easy to grab a drink right next to the Riverside. Easy access to the carpark too. Lots of dining areas and the kitchen is very clean. Staff are friendly and very chilled giving a nice tone to the atmosphere. Dog friendly location too so lovely to have fun with and sneak a little fuss or play. If I had to say something negative it'd be petty. Couldn't find anything I didn't like to be fair.
Really nice pub right on the river. We stopped for a spritz after walking the Thames Path. We didn't eat but the food looked very good.
Plenty of tables out in the sun facing the river, then some set back under shade. Large upstairs are too.
Tables were cleared quickly and toilets clean. Friendly bar staff too.
This is another pub we stopped while walking the Jubilee walk from Canada Water to Greenwich. The pub is big with a very big garden area overlooking the Thames. Staff were friendly and the place had a good vibe too. We didn't had anything to eat but we have seen the food looked good which we will be going back to try it out.
Nice place positioned in a beautiful corner, specially if you eat at the tables on the river. The food was very enjoyable. I loved the pulled pork nachos but also the mix meat platter was very good. Great place to eat and drink on a sunny day. The only problem (but I imagine because of the ordering app system) was the waiting. We waited over half hour for the drinks and over 40 for the food and wasn’t that busy either. But good experience after all.
Nice little pub right on the river, with plenty of outdoor seating. Lots of choice in decent beers on draught, though sadly all seemed to be served in generic glasses and not the right glass for the individual drinks.
I didn't eat but the food served nearby looked decent.
We had a great meal here on Sunday with the family for my partners birthday. The children were well cared on the menu , and there was no problem checking out dishes for my nut allergies. Lovely food and lovely staff and location.
Thank you
The views from this pub are amazing. Starters were good but not as impressed with the main (we had a burger). Great selection of drinks and cocktails and the bar staff are nice. I would suggest to rethink the music choices however, it puts people off from visiting hence the 3 stars for atmosphere.
Great food with great views over the Thames!
At the moment they are doing a BOGOF on certain beers between 4-7pm Monday-Thursday. This is what all pubs should be doing! 😃
A shout out for Sam, great member of staff! 👍
Great service
Lovely food nicely cooked and served hot.
Nice beer garden with river views. Stuff is very friendly and helpful. Food was very good. Burger was coming in tin foil what was not to my personal taste... but was surprisingly good! Pints are relatively cheap (for London).
Lovely place for a quiet Friday pub lunch. Allergen menu was very clear, a number of gluten free options including gluten free buns and fries in a dedicated gluten free fryer. Good lunch option for coeliacs, didn’t get sick.
