We went to one of the opening nights of Pirana and came away very happy and impressed. The service was friendly, informative and fun. The food was delicious. Especially the black bean and chorizo and the steak with cassava. The ceviche dishes were also very nice. Add to this some really good cocktails and 🤞 they are on to a winner. Hope to see the standards continue! A wonderful addition to Balham.
Went here for the first time for a last-minute dinner last night and it was great! Service was brilliant - very friendly and explained the menu well. The food was amazing, very keen to go back again and try more of the tapas dishes! A really great new place to go in Balham - really cool with a great vibe.
I found this place by accident on a Friday night when every where else I wanted to go was booked. What a great find, great music and atmosphere and a nice size, food and cocktails were great as were the staff. We had a boozy fun evening with good music and will be back.
Only went for drinks but would go back for food. Cocktails very good but quite crampt (even though there was only one other group there with two empty tables between us). Music would have been overbearingly loud in a space twice the size.
So many delicious things to eat. Would have 5 stars if the music had been slightly quieter and less cheesy pop. Will definitely come back. Big hits were pisco sours, octopus, tuna tacos, veggie empanadas and croquetas, but mostly lovely staff.
Interesting interiors, cosy and chill. Food is good :)
Lovely atmosphere and lovely staff. We didn't eat here on this occasion but the food looked very tasty on the menu and I'm looking forward to going back to eat
Have been here 3 times, and it’s always top! Their bife ancho is among the best I’ve had anywhere, and the guacamole isn’t the typical London approximation of guac.

Ive lived in balham a long time now and I LOVE PIRANA!!! I had thee best vegaterian tacos last night!! No1 spot in balham right now. A MUST if you want a lovely intimate night out.
