We held a works reunion in their private room upstairs. We had a great time, & the buffet we ordered was first class. A mix of British & Thai food. Really tasty, hot & plenty to go round. Would recommend this pub to anyone. We will be back.

Great pub, where staff know what you drank the night before although you only were there the once before! They went out of their way to get you seated to be able to watch the athletics and gave us the feeling as if we were great friends! Lovely place to spend some time to end a long day in London! Thanks guys

A great lively pub to meet friends after work. You'll also see quite a few tourists here because of it's location and ambiance - a lovely British pub that it is and not very noisy.

Great selection of wines and good beer. Good food too - standard pub food but quite nice - we tried chips, nachos and chicken wings. No complaints about the service. In fact we had a small chat with one of the bartenders about the history and the name of the place.

Although centrally located, not heavy on wallet. Overall a decent place to pop-in after work.

What a fantastic looking place with loads of outside seating. The interior is amazing so classy with beautiful art on the walls. I saw this place being renovated and it’s now under new ownership. The standards are very high here. I can’t comment about the food as the opening was on the 19/7/2023 so food was not being served as yet. The staff are lovely and polite which is always a positive. Lots of smiles and polite upselling which is always appreciated. I will return to add to this review when the food is being served. The area is very upmarket which great but expensive shopping nearby. If you get off a bus or walking Gt James street is in between cafe Nero and the noble gentleman and you will find this beautiful pub on the corner surrounded by trees in an idilic location. Drinks only on this visit and good news is they serve real Coca Cola.

Went to this pub while on holiday to watch the world cup rugby. It's a nice pub. Really friendly staff. Met really friendly All black supporters which was great. Friendly and jolly bunch. Food was good. Had fish and chips, as a tourist normally does, 😋 and a few drinks.

Ate at the newly opened Bistro Bleu on its third day. It did not disappoint. Excellent take on French classics served in a comfortable and classy but unfussy first floor room. Short menu but a good choice supported by excellent wines. Courteous service in the best French tradition. The downstairs pub/bar manages to tread the line between upscale Bloomsbury boozer and pastiche of Parisian rive-gauche bar well - again with friendly service and a strong beer and wine list. A welcome addition to the area.

Great to see the Rugby back. Still one of the most tranquil spots in Bloomsbury to enjoy a drink. Looking forward to the kitchen reopening next month.

We had a lovely dining experience, everything from the setting to glassware was tastefully done. The menu was not classic French, but very creative with infusions and influences from around the world that are tastefully put together. Portion sizes, service and attention to detail was great. We had a lovely evening.

Brilliant pub in the city. A genuine original tavern style pub with good range of beers on tap. Really friendly staff - very welcoming. Great outside seating area. A popular place, as was quite busy on a weekday, but friendly.. no agro. Has a great function / meeting room available too. Easily holds 20-30 people for meeting or small function.

Wow. Wow. Wow. We’ve been to The Rugby Tavern and The Bistro Bleu since it’s reopening and I can honestly say, we had some of the nicest food we’ve ever had. Our first visit was on opening night where my husband ordered a burger, I had the fish and chips and we shared some fries - every single thing on our plate was absolutely delicious, and so reasonably priced for a London pub! Both of us commented on how lovely the food was to the bar manager, who couldn’t have done more for us if he tried, and he mentioned that The Bistro Bleu was part of the same establishment and that it had opened this week as well. We booked our table there and then, and came back just this week. Neither of us had had French cuisine before, but after eating here we it certainly won’t be our last! Every course was cooked to perfection, the wines suggested to us accompanied our meals beautifully and the service was nothing short of perfect. We can’t wait to come back and try even more amazing food at both The Rugby Tavern and The Bistro Bleu 👏🏻

Visited not long after the opening and had a fantastic night! Drinks were fabulous, tried a number of cocktails including the Lychee Martini and Negroni. We can't wait to go back and try the food!

A lovely pub, with a selection of drinks that will satisfy all customers. In addition to the ample seating inside, the outside area provides a lovely place for spending a warm day. The Thai food is tasty and the Landlord always friendly and welcoming.

The Rugby Tavern is a great local pub that sets itself apart with its delicious Thai food menu. The portions are generous and the menu has classics like Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, and several curries. It’s great for a causal lunch or dinner, and has outside seating when the weather is warm.
