Lovely pub with a friendly staff. Gives you all the experience of a British pub. They got some good selection of beer and the inside asthetics are very old timey pub like. Quite a lot of room, yet can get crowdy. I wish there was bar seating too but overall a good decent experience.

This Sam Smith's has been a staple of the area for years. Bits of it haven't changed for decades, but some things have (the toilets still look fresh since the last refurb a few years back). The staff are as great as they can be on a Tadcaster salary - they should be paid more! You get a mix of people here: those fed up with Oxford Street, the BBCers, the tourists, and the office workers. It's usually quite empty, though. There are a few tables outside, which is great. Don't expect the moon on a stick (it is a Sam Smith's, after all), but it's good nevertheless. The thing that bugs me the most: the clock .. go, have a look, have a pint, and tell me I'm wrong!

I met a friend that I did my nursing with in 84 and its down the road from my office. I had a steak and kidney pie and mash. It was delicious. Would thoroughly recommend

Lovely traditional Sam Smiths pub with quality real ales, a roaring fire downstairs and decent pub grub. A device free upstairs eating area - you go to enjoy conversation, food and ale. Beautiful wooden interior - panelled walls. True - as someone else remarked, the (Turkish?) guy downstairs was miserable - obviously didn't want to be there - but the (Polish?) lady upstairs knew how to serve with a smile - she was lovely. Maybe a cultural thing? Would definitely go again.

Classic Samuel Smith's pub without the stern rules on technology it's got a thin footprint which means it's much better to meet up with a single friend here rather than a group It was quite expensive my partner's gin and tonic clocked in at an impressive £14 Outdoor seating is not ideal as it's a few tables just on the pavement

Nice traditional pub near oxford circus.off the main strip so a bit quieter than other pubs in the area. We had a drink here on a Sunday at about 3pm and we were on of about three patrons!

I've been here twice, a lovely place with lovely people, and the owner, Bee, and her husband Lee are just amazing two people who run this pub. Great crowd and the location.

Lovely little "old school" pub where you can hear yourself think, and sit and chat with friends without having to scream across a table.
