We ordered fish and chips takeaway on a Saturday evening. It was very quiet. The person behind the counter was very friendly and explained that he was frying the fish freshly so would take 10mins and it did. The fish was enough for 2people at least (50p in the picture was to show perspective). The batter was light and not too greasy the chips had that perfect fish shop taste. You could tell they take great pride in their food and carefully wrapped each item. A great part of the community
Great chat,Greek origins,we spoke about soccer together with the man and his son.The fish bar owner seemed very popular in the locality.He certainly accommodated me nicely and respectfully.
It was possibly a wee bit spartan inside and slightly short on offerings,but the basics were there,saveloy ,sausages,pies.
I had saveloys n chips.He brought me a glass water and let me sit inside.It was getting colder closer to Halloween.
I enjoyed their company and my chips.Will drop in again if on the area.

Great value and huge portions - my meal for two would have served two adults and two kids easily. Lovely fish and crisp batter. Some posts complain about the atmosphere but it’s old school and that’s what I like about it. Somewhat dated and probably needs a make over but hopefully it won’t put customers off because the food is of a good quality.

I come here regularly to order my fish and chips. The environment needs some atmosphere, but the owners are very friendly, and the fish and chips they serve have nothing to envy from the locals. Good quality/price ratio for being sea-caught fish, especially the haddock!
Been looking for a good fish and chip shop since the local one to us changed ownership and is awful now.

We live down the road and come here every couple of weeks for our fish and chips. Andy is the best, always friendly and gives generous portions. We love seeing him in the neighbourhood and it wouldn't be home without him.
Always greeted with a smile and the quality of the chips, size and meat of the fish, and the fry of the battered sausage is exceptional!

To be honest the fish and chips quality is very good 👍 and there's nothing we can say about that and the quality of the service is great even the shop owner is nice and polite good customer service but the only thing the price of the fish and chips quite expensive. I mean if that store was in central, London then you can charge double price, but it's in Northfield so really is not supposed to be that high price but the quality is best .👌
I had a lovely piece of quality rock last night, it was lovely creamy and white and fresh. Service is always unbelievable, please I have no words but to say Kyle does not know what he is talking about.................
Tasty tasty tasty food . Andy is so hardworking. Such a lovely man and so are all his staff. Wonderful people work there with such beautiful smiles. I must remember to ask him next time why they are so nice even though we live in such an unfriendly world.

It is always well worth a wait for them to be cooked fresh.
I only wish that circumstances had not forced them to replace the groundnut oil that they once used since it cooked at a much higher temperature.
Having said that there were major health issues for those with a nut allergy and so it was a good idea to make the change.
