We had an amazing time at Cheeky Chicos in Clapham.
The tacos were varied, large, and jam packed with flavour. If I could have eaten more than three, then I would have.
There are a lot of good vegetarian options at Cheeky Chicos, a good tequila menu, solid cocktails and mexican craft beer.
Incredible. Simply incredible. I am mind blown by this place. Alex is the best server I’ve ever had. If I could move in I would. Tequila and tacos is the perfect combination, almost like it had been sent down from the gods to bless my taste buds. I love it here. 10 stars if I could.
Highly recommended. Very good quality of food, amazing service and great atmosphere. Prices are balanced.
One of the best Mexican restaurants in London! One of the best I’ve been worldwide
Their tacos are amazing, especially the ones with beef. Very soft, it’s like it’s coming apart in your mouth. Starters are amazing. Their corn, even better. The ambience it’s beautiful, very nice decor. It has character to it. Tips: ask for their amazing homemade lemonade
We came to cheeky chicos for a premeal drinks and to sample the nachos.
It is located 10 minutes from Clapham junction station and the restaurant had a great atmosphere and the service was friendly and quick. Our group ordered beers and Margaritas - the nachos were tasty we had the veggie and chicken loads ones and enjoyed both.
The only negative was we felt that it was quite expensive. For 2 drinks (i had 2 beers) and a share of nachos was around 20 quid per a person! Would like to come back and try the rest of the food.
Alex was a great server! very kind, lively and attentive! She made the experience a better one! The tuna ceviche tostadas were the best thing ever! Will come back for those! 🙏
Very tasty food/ flavours. Pineapple salsa was a great compliment to my pulled pork tacos.
Churros (with chocolate in the middle) we’re out of this world. Best I’ve ever had. Will return again.
Thanks for the service. X
Went here on a bustling Friday night, and the atmosphere was amazing!! The tacos were great but the tuna ceviche tostado was very excellent! Served by the wonderful Alex, very attentive and friendly!
Great vibe and cosy little place. Really enjoyable cocktails and great tacos! What is more to ask!?
The staff was super friendly as well!
Lovely Italian waitress and the bartender were both very friendly and provided an excellent service!
Would recommend anyone if you are looking for some spicy food and good cocktails!
This is a quirky little spot in Clapham with good energy for a dinner with friends. We arrived and were seated promptly. Every table was full so I think a reservation was likely necessary.
We got nachos, tuna ceviche, mini chorizo, beans, halloumi, and pico de gallo with chips as a starter. All the starters were generous portions, all which could be shared between 2 people. The starters were the star of the meal.
For our mains we got chicken tinga tacos, pulled pork tacos and cod tacos which come with two tacos. These were very large and definitely enough to fill us up. There were mixed thoughts across the table on the tacos. The pulled pork tacos were praised, and the chicken were nice too. The cod tasted like good quality but could have used a lot more seasoning and the slaw was dry. Not the best fish tacos I’ve had.
Unfortunately, after our initial drinks and food order, none of the servers came up to us again so we weren’t able to order any more drinks. The table was cleared whilst I was still eating which was a bit bizarre. We had to find a server to order dessert, churros. The churros were tasty but undercooked and still doughy on the inside.
Overall, it was busy and had good energy, and the staff was very friendly, albeit not as attentive. Good experience, but with all the great Mexican around I might not rush back.
Nice place with a chilled atmosphere. The food was good and the service was friendly. I tried the soft pork taco which was nice.
If the weather is good try sitting outside and watch the neighbourhood go by.
A fun Friday night! The food was delicious, especially the crispy prawn tacos. Shoutout to Alex who is the best - exceptional service!

I found this place by accident when another brunch spot I wanted to visit was full. It was empty and looks a bit dubious from the outside but I'm so glad I went in. It's a lovely looking place and deceptively spacious. Staff are so friendly and welcoming. We were seated quickly and service was quick too!
We ordered from the brunch menu which I feel is reasonably priced if you take into consideration the location and portion size.
I had the chicken and waffles (there are 2) with a fried egg on the side (it didn't need the egg...I just wanted it...😅) and an apple juice (pressed). I paid just under £14 with service charge included.
Will definitely go back again and hopefully have time for dessert too!!!
Tasty food, good cocktails, great decor and attentive service. Will definitely be back!
Staff were very friendly. We went on a quiet Saturday morning for brunch and restaurant was quiet. Outdoor seating available which is nice in the sun! However food is overpriced for what it is.
Colourful place serving tasty food, with own twist on Mexican dishes. Great decor, very cosy. Good service. Really enjoyed Jalapeño Poppers and Crispy Pork Belly Tostadas - both yum! We had a selection of tacos - Pork Belly Al Pastor, Fried Chicken and Crispy Prawn. Decent size (3 per person was definitely enough) and tasty, but they needed a bit of a spicy and zingy kick. So this is the only reason not giving it 5 stars. Good margaritas and very moreish Chocolate Filled Churros. Recommend this place 100% and will come back.
Great little Mexican in Clapham. Chicken Tinga quesadilla spot on and went down a treat with the spicy - red jalapeño- sour cream. Pork belly tostada very good from the starter section too.
Pork tacos absolutely delicious, pineapple salsa worked perfectly with the slaw & pulled pork.
Drinks great, staff excellent. Get yourself down there.
What an amazing place to eat!
stumbled upon this place while out with family and honestly i am so glad that i did! there were 5 of us in the group one with that had a Gluten Allergy and another with a Nut Allergy so eating out is always difficult, but not here! the staff were accommodating, understanding and went above and beyond to ensure we could enjoy our meals with peace of mind!
the food was amazing, the first Mexican I've had in a long time that wasn't greasy! so flavoursome and well presented. truly wonderful meal!
The cocktails were lovely, fresh and more-ish!
5 stars all round!
We cant wait to come back!
Honestly a little lost for words on this one!!!
So much promise, what an amazing atmosphere *****
Super busy and packed, but we waited over 1.5 hrs for our starters for a table of 4.
That's fine too and also understandable with a massively busy place, having dabbled and being in the industry, it happens on days and so I completely get it. But staff should have been on top of it and at least apologised or tried to let us know.....
Okay so leave that aside too.
The Margarihtas were good but a little pricy for the size.
The food - great presentation on most things, but did not light my world on fire, being a little of a confirmed food critic, I would have given it from 4 to a max of 6.5 *
The Mac Taco, a little weird in combination, the truffle.oil perhaps saved it a little, but still not a great mix of flavours. 4*
The Fish Taco, chewy weird better, slaw was plain and the salsa ordinary . 4*
The Prawn Taco, seemed like a deep fried Panko Prawn you can buy frozen from most supermarkets now, so no.points there- but the slaw and the spice from what I tasted was Siracha, with their salsa, did kind work.....So 6*
The Sweet Potato Taco - sweet potato was a soggy mess, should have been crisped on the outside on the grill, but was not. For a sweet potato taco to work you need to get the almond salsa spot on, it was anything but. It was think and condensed and even though they added the little.heat it needed, the balance was not there for the whole dish to work. 5* at best !
The Pork Belly Taco - honestly I never tried it, so.cant review it .
I would probably raise all of the above Tacos to another half a * ... The reason being is that we ordered the gluten free tacos because of one party member . They just had a weird flour/bitter after taste ! Not sure why they just never had corn tortillas for their Gluten Free option ???
Anyway, I'm sure a little higher rating if we had their normal flour tortillas.
Starters - Chorizo with Algave- Tuna Tostada - Pork Tostada - and Chicken Quesidilla -
Chorizo 7* Tuna Tostada 6.5* the rest uggghhhj!!!!!
Have to mention 1 thing though!!!!!
A 22 year old, who has litterally worked there for 1 week, wow, what service, attention, great attitude - you would at the very least think he had worked there for 2 years and was an assistant manager, if not manager !!!!
Kudos to having a staff member like that, ridiculously good service and so my overall rating will be for him and the great atmosphere!!!! If they get the food completely right, this place will be outstanding!
