We came here on a busy night in early December before going to the cinema. I phoned ahead to make a reservation for two and asked whether we would be served quickly to make our film. We booked for 7pm so a little earlier than the party bookings. The tables were a bit close together. However, even though they were busy we were served really quickly and finished in time to walk to the cinema for 7.45.
The starters were overpriced for what they were in my opinion. We ordered a portion of garlic prawns on skewers - we got four prawns and a dipping sauce for around 8 pounds and they didn't taste of anything.
For mains we ordered the crispy sea bream with red curry sauce from the specialities menu and the prawn yellow curry. The sea bream came as two fillets drizzled with sauce. It was definitely not fresh. It tasted very fishy and was a bit overcooked. The dish was lacking in sauce so quite dry.
The yellow curry sauce was amazing. The prawn portion was generous and there was a lot of extra sauce which we used to mask the sea bream on the other dish. It just needed a few more vegetables in the pot to complete the dish.
We ordered a portion of rice and it was quite large - enough for two with rest of our food. We had a side dish of roti canai. The roti were tasty. There was not enough sauce for the two rotis so we used the sauce from our curry.
Overall, we ate well and made it to the cinema on time. The service was fast and friendly. I'm glad we came at the time we did, as when we were leaving, there was a queue for tables all the way up the stairs.
If we came here again we would skip starters and order a couple of different curries and some extra vegetables and enjoy ourselves.
Probably the unhappiest Thai people you will ever meet. But then again they work in Canary Wharf, so can you blame them?
Having only had a takeaway from here during lunch, it's not fair to give it a full review, so 3.5 will have to do, for now.
The food (Rendang) was nice enough but it needed more depth. It was a touch cold but that has to be expected with takeaway.
Would like to sit in next time.
Beautiful decor and big dining areas but the food seemed mediocre. I ordered number 57). Phad Mee Leang with number 28). Pla Salmon Yang and a lemonade. Yummy but nothing to make me say that was great. It's almost like you're paying for the location and the decor. I went around 7pm on a Monday so was not busy at all. Plus gratuity was not optional (even though it says it is), the waitress just included it without asking when she handed over the card machine which I did not appreciate.
I guess this venue is popular with the office goers in canary wharf. It's generally only open on weekdays. The food is pretty good, although the service is probably a bit on the slower side. Overall a decent place worth visiting at least once
Great Thai and oriental food in a venue that seems to hide you away from the bustle of Canary Wharf. This a popular venue for those that work in the area and is very busy at lunchtime. Getting in and out on a lunch break can be a challenge, but it's worth the visit. Food is great and you have a large selection to choose from. Make sure to look out for the head hostess. She is quite a character. If you have been there, you will know what I mean :)
Very kind service. Stylish decoration and quality food. And not expensive at all.
A good place to enjoy the Thai food, as the choice is quite limited for Thai food in Canary Wharf. Been there a few times and always enjoyed the food. Some of the dishes are spicy, which is nice. The interiors look grand and the ambience is nice. Prices are reasonable too.
I went here on my 20th birthday for a date with my fiance. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was lively but we still had a private table quiet enough for some dinner conversation. Food was a little pricey but for the taste, it was worth it! Was not let down, and we will be coming back here again for definite.
better than average Thai fare. who cares if it ain't authentic - it tastes good! Given the location (Canary Wharf), quite affordable too. I love the Lamb Massamun and the Kaeng Pa Ka here. Stick to the beers, the wines are not worth the markup.
Great food and very nice restaurant. Staff not that please we arrive 20 min before kitchen close. Def come back.
Great food, nice stylish atmosphere, friendly staff. Not too loud, depending on when you go.
If you work on the Wharf your options are limited, and this is a good one. To be honest Laksa at any point is a good option.
It may be a staple, and I keep going back for a reason. Enjoy.
Very quick turnaround, decent selection of Thai food. Ideal for weekday lunch
Very nice meal, and reasonable priced meal. Pad Thai v v good
Beautiful place, good service and wonderful food. The best place in canary wharf overall
Great evening, friendly staff, and 1 bought 1 offered drink on happy hour made the trick
I had the Sri Nam noodles. Served with fat juicy scallops, prawns and crab claws
