YUM
Gails is a great place to get delicious breakfast, a great cup of tea or coffee, a mouth watering pastry, the best bread.
The staff in Chiswick are wonderful, especially the manager.
The English Muffin and Bacon Breakfast is yum. The porridge is a good price and also highly recommended. The ginger, apricot and blueberry scone is addictive. The walnut and apricot bread has to be tried.
I also recommend the fruit tea, hibiscus if they have it!
I had been at Gails Bakery before just to buy bread, but this time had the chance to sit down and try one of their cakes. I went for the banana pecan cake, which was really delicious! I've also tried the iced chocolate, which I can imagine will be quite good in a hot chocolate version. What I would say is that they would benefit for more space between the tables, as even during the week it was quite busy.
We were so excited to find a Gails in this area that we looked forward to dropping by and having our meal there.
Unfortunately this Gails did not live up to the standard the other outlets did. A true test is their Hot chocolate. When we had the first sip itswlf we realised that there was something wrong. It seemed very diluted and not the usual half a bar of chocolate melted in hot milk. The othwr stuff we ordered were the usual which i guess comes from a central kitchen.
A must have is the dry fruit granola mix. Its a great snack and can be added to anything.
