The quality of everything we ordered on the menu seemed above average. The server was really nice with her suggestions and that led to the experience being better than how it'd be without her. The bathrooms were another star of the show. Keeping in view the location, ambience, quality of everything, the prices seemed pretty fair. Recommended!

Oh, I forgot to mention there is live music. They have a special Monday event with new artists - the music is never overbearing and is such a pleasant touch in this space.
If you're in London, give this spot a visit and you won't regret it.
Served quickly despite busy period. Good Atmosphere with live singers (monday night). Expensive of course, but that is to be expected (debated whether to down grade the rating, but if you are eating and drinking around here, then you expect to pay a premium). Staff attentive. Food (we had Italian) was good, although my colleague said his dish was "average". Service was good. Give it a shot after work or if you are in the City sight seeing. Some of my colleagues love it and go back time and time again. I really like it but not one of my favourite haunts. Of course, the venue itself is historically interesting and fabulous inside. Sorry I didn't take pics... too busy enjoying myself with colleagues.

Most of the staff are friendly. Concierge and some of the bartenders/ hosts were really friendly. But the bartender that served me was very frosty. What a Shane considering the establishment is so nice.

If you can find a free spot, this is a great bar for drinks - alcoholic or non alcoholic. The property is beautiful - formerly Midland Bank Headquarters designed in 1924 but with quite a unique 'vibe'.
The only downside of course is that it's usually packed so finding a place to sit often requires waiting. I have visited many times and expect that will continue..
Just fabulous. Not cheap but the atmosphere is amazing. Nice to sit, sip and take it in. Sometimes, if you're lucky, there is live music. Unfortunately not while we were there. Casual smart or even evening dress. Worth going.
Food was good but expensive. Cocktail range could have been beter but they are keen to make drinks if they have the ingredients. Hosting was great as well. The views from the terrace are amazing as well.
Came here for a nightcap. We were greeted with a live jazz band, which was unexpected but lovely! The service and the drinks were great.
Such an amazing experience to be in one of their Sunday Swings. I even danced and didn't know how to but definitely you could learn some moves in there. Anyway, try the cocktails. These may be sound weird at first but once you try them, you'll fall in love!
The magnificent old banking hall is a great venue for drinks and snacks, with the 1920s opulence but without a sobering price tag.
I’ve been here a couple of times and really enjoy having the live music on the bandstand. We had a wait a bit for seats but it was worth it.
I look forward to my next visit.
Great ambience, good atmosphere, beautiful surroundings. Live music playing in the middle of the huge ground floor which had three different bar areas.
Plenty of very attentive Staff and great service. A real touch of Old World class!

We arrived early on NYE, like 11.30am. Cecconi's was only serving lunch from 12pm so we decided to get a drink at Nickel Bar. We were probably the only ones who started early, and also the only customers at that point of time so I guess the attention was undivided. We were treated very nicely, bartender was exceptionally friendly, we enjoyed our drinks so really no complains at all. The bar itself is beautiful - the interior design of the entire hotel is just beautiful.
The only issue we have is they require us to pay immediately - it made me feel like I was in a typical pub where you pay when your drink is ready. I didn't think this was necessary as it was still early in the morning. The only way to keep the tap running is to hold a credit card which I didn't think it was necessary especially in a hotel, a luxurious hotel like this. We were sitting at the bar and we were not going to runaway anyway, what is the problem... We also mentioned that we were only sitting here for a drink since we have already booked for lunch at Cecconi's. I guess this has nothing to do with the staff, just the issue with their policy. Could be more relaxed on that...

Been here a few times. Great atmosphere in the Ned for a relaxed drink with live music in an amazing art deco setting.

This was the only bar in The Ned that was still busy at 10pm on a Tuesday in January! It's the closest to the live music so not ideal if you're looking for a quiet drink but great if you're not! The bartender made me a fabulous rum cocktail - I told him to surprise me and he did a great job. Lovely way to end our evening. Look forward to going back.
