Lovely little cafe! Great range, good prices, brilliant service. Don't expect gourmet... it's a caff. 4 stars cause one of my eggs was underdone (but I asked for poached which is always asking for trouble) and the coffee wasnt great. But its friendly, clean and brilliant for breakfast.

Great food and I appreciate all the little details about his place that are just right. Coffee was good, plate was hot, etc. We will be back for a Roast tomorrow!

I came to this cafe this morning for the first time after a long night out. Me and my friend ordered a custom breakfast of two eggs, two bacon, two sausages, baked beans and chips with a large mug of tea and toast included for £15.80 in total. It was absolutely delicious and the plate was large as Noah's Ark, haha. Very well cooked and thoroughly enjoyable, I was so full that I gave my friend my second bacon and one half of toast. When I go to Archway again for shopping, I will definitely visit again.

Warm welcoming staff, excellent value for money. Cleanliness and variety of good food. As a local, I would recommend this place if you want to have a great full English breakfast or toasted sandwich. (both dishes are a must)

Brilliant little place for a bite to eat. A traditional grease spoon caff, without the grease. Inmaculately clean and tidy, great coffee, tasty bites, very reasonably priced, very friendly service. Will definitely come back more often. Most likely when I need a hangover cure.

I love this cafe, which is one of the best-kept secrets in London. It looks horrible from the outside and the rows of tables with bolted-down chairs (and the name) make it feel a bit like the staff canteen in an East German tractor factory, but it's incredibly cheap, the food is always cooked perfectly and they have a good selection as well as the usual egg-and-chips stuff, the staff are friendly, the service is quick, and it's usually free of the arty posers and rich kids who infest most places in Islington. Don't panic if it looks full from outside—there's another room of tables in the back.

Good for a quick breakfast. Around lunchtime, be aware that the far table on the right is meant for a regular patron.
