It was the first time I had tried Malaysian meals. Definitely one of the best meal I've eaten. Inside is quite small and stuffy but meals are extremely delicious, it is definitely worth to go. Almost always there is huge queue, you should be ready for waiting 30 min at least.

Roti Canai: it is serving with hand-made bread. Sauce is extremely delicious, probably it is including a lot of different malaysian spices. I have missed its taste a lot.:(

Nasi Lemak: chicken was extremely spicy but delicious. We don't like crispy fish. Rice was delicious and different from normal rice because it is including coconut milk, we liked this. Boiled egg and cucumber is going well with spicy chicken.

Small cosy shop that serves good Malaysian food!

Ordered the curry laksa, roti canai with chicken curry, mee goreng and cantonese hor fun.

The roti canai was an absolute stand out! The roti is as close as what u get in Malaysia and the chicken curry that accompanied it was fragrant with the right amount of spice.

Great Malaysian food!!
After spending an extended period of time in Europe we were delighted to find this basement restaurant close to our hotel in London.  We had a delicious Malaysian meal for the first time in weeks - excellent Nasi lemak, Roti curry chicken, kang kong (morning glory) belacan and char kway teow.  The prices are very reasonable too - but come early or be prepared for a wait.  We arrived at 7 pm and had to wait around 40 minutes for a table!

Excellent food and so affordable. Making it a regular place for me to eat. The chicken / lambs canai special has so much flavour and is a must eat with a side portion of the “kangkung belachan” which is a vegetable .. so YUM!

Good food, good service, and a really cosy place! Tried the Roti Canai special with curry chicken which was pretty good (heavy as well though). Tried cold Milo (chocolate drink) which was a hot drink served with ice (first time for everything). The food was Malaysian but I felt it was a mix of Indo-Malaysian. Overall, a good experience

The best flaky fresh roti. This is the thing I would recommend from this restaurant. There’s many things you can order to accompany your roti, like daal or lamb curry etc. But the roti is the star of this place! They even have dessert rotis. The restaurant itself is a really small canteen style eatery. Probably can only fit 30 people so be prepared to queue.

Aptly names. You can see the skill of the chefs on the roti station make the roti translucent and folded in which creates that puff pasty effect of a great roti. Always have the Roti Canai chicken, lamb and lentil. Also, the cheese filled roti for starter is lovely. The place is tiny and always has a queue. They really need to expand.

This is one of the best places for value for money. I have visited this places couple of times and tried different items including the fomous Roti Canai. The food is freshly prepared and very good in taste. Specially, the curries are full of flavours which is typically influenced by south Indian style of cooking. The only problem is that one needs to stand in a queue to find a place to seat in busy hours. It may not be good option for those who do not want to share tables. However, I like it and provides me the opportunity to chat with people from different parts of the woulds.

I am referring here to enduring hot exhaust, smells, cramped waiting areas and rather confined seating. I’m not a large man but even so, I need a little bit of space.  This is something that I find an issue on the morning commute.  I do not understand why in London, where people do not pack to the same extent as Tokyo (they don’t hire professional packers to push people in London), people can be so unaware of how irritating they can be.  Or perhaps they just don’t care about how much they annoy others.

If you time your visit well you won't have to wait long which is a bonus - because Roti King has very little seating which means turnover can take up to an hour. We loved the food at Roti King and cannot recommend it enough if you're missing Malaysian favs such as Roti Bom or Roti Pisang. We opt for the usual mee goreng and roti and wash it all down with cold milo (Milo Ping). I would say the nasi lemak is decent but not the best and the Kway Teow is quite good too.

If you’re looking for the most authentic Malaysian cuisine in London, you can find it at Roti King at King’s Cross. Everything about this place is screaming authentic. Including the queue and the table service. The crowded setup and heat of the kitchen is found at many a hawker centre over in the East.

You find yourself on a quiet side road near Euston station, walking down some stairs towards a shabby basement for a restaurant. Waiting to queue for 30 mins plus for food. It’s not that obvious from the ground level that there’s an incredible hole in the wall establishment. People flocked to Roti King for their signature roti’s and Malaysian food. Roti King attracts crowds of people always and my visit after work was no exception. I knew of Roti King from the yearly Malaysian night festival held at Trafalgar square.

Finally a tasty Malaysian/Singaporean dish that tasted quite close to the original flavour. The highlight was the laksa and the fishballs along with its rich soup. Both rotis and mee goreng were also delicious. All tasted like home and will surely come back to try other menus!

A short 2-minute walk away from the station, this little place is quite literally a hole in the wall but the food is amazing. Once we were seated we ordered immediately(we’d been queuing for an hour!!), we got roti with dahl & fish curry, morning glory, nasi lemak and two cold milos- took me straight back to my childhood.

This place serves awesome food and it is one of the best food experiences I had in London. We had to wait in the queue for about 30 minutes, because the place is small and you have to wait till seating is available. But it was totally worth the wait. We tried their Roti Canai, Nasi Lemak , Bean curd with Chinese seasonal vegs and Nasigoreng. Each dish was unique in its own way and tasty.

Amazing food, great prices! We arrived at 12 on a Saturday and there was already a line- not hard to see why when we tasted the food. We ordered char kway teow, nasi lemak, sambal kangkung and roti canai with curry chicken, paired with teh tarik. The highlight was definitely the roti canai, which was soft, crisp and delicious even as a standalone. I also really enjoyed the char kway teow, and will definitely be back for more.

Ratio Decidendi: Hands down the best joint for Malaysian hawker food in London. Not all the items on the menu are hits but if you stick to the trio above, I’m quietly confident you won’t walk away disappointed. Ironically I find the roti canai quite pedestrian, but in fairness it’s still probably the best effort going around. Always a queue going out the door, up the steps and around the railing. My #1 tip would be to not wear any heavy jackets in here – unless you’re a fan of eau de hawker of course!

Great little Malaysian restaurant specialised in Roti (the Malaysian bread) which is amazing!!
As I said, little, you will be expected to share your table with other guests of the restaurant, and because it became quite famous the cue to get a table can be huge. Last time I had to wait for 30 min at least.
Worth a try!

Roti King is a household name among Londoners, apparently. The place was constantly recommended by a number of people who frequented London and hence I decided to check it out.
The little basement restaurant can easily be missed; the signboard is almost shady and unwelcoming but the raves about their food was what made me enter the tiny restaurant.
I went with a friend who had been there a few times- I would recommend going with someone who knows what to pick from the menu, as I was at a loss when I looked at the menu.
The menu showcased variety and I knew I was in for a food adventure. However, the food was a bit of a let down. I guess all the raves rose my expectations, which unfortunately failed to deliver. The food was flavoursome and spicy, in fact a wee bit too spicy for me.
The restaurant is crowded and you'd mostly have to share a table. It has a lot of potential but just wasn't what I had expected. That being said, I wouldn't mind going there again but maybe I'd order something different the second time around and that might alter my opinion!

Really cheap and good Malaysian street food. I went with my Malaysian friend who helped me pick food. The rotis were soft and delicious. I would recommend cheese and spinach. The main dish of rice, vegetable beans and tofu was adequately spicy. The milo godzilla shake topped it off.

It's hard to find good eating joints around Euston but Roti King is a gem. For as little as 4 pounds, you can get a classic layered roti with Malaysian style daal. It's a unique taste and an authentic experience. You can also see how they make the rotis since there is not kitchen wall. It's fascinating. Definitely check it out.

Dont give up so quickly if you see a big queue, it moves fast or you can always enjoy their take away.

Barbecue ribs, warm madeleines, gong bao chicken, bacon cheeseburgers, roast leg of lamb, mutton kothu parotta, reuben sandwiches, sticky toffee pudding and jamon croquetas. Everyone’s got a bucket list of dishes. These are a few of mine. Another dish which I’d call for on my death bed is Roti Canai - the Malaysian flatbread which is traditionally served with a little pot of curry on the side. It’s just so compellingly addictive - crispy on the outside, soft and a little bit elastic and so rich with butter.

This is the place for you if you are looking for Malaysian Street food in London! It's exactly like the food you'll get in Kuala Lumpur! We ordered Roti Canai with chicken curry and dhall and also had kari laksa and mee goreng noodles. Proportions are huge and complete worth the price! Less options if you are a pure vegetarian (one of us was). But for non vegetarians it's Malaysian heaven!

Worth the queue. Great value Malaysian food with no (and that means absolutely zero) frills.

N.B. the roti are what are more commonly known as paratha in India - and they are really good.

BYOB charge was a fiver plus 10% of your food bill (on what planet does it make sense to penalise diners for having a drink and thus in all probability ordering more food?)

However the food is excellent and very good value. Three of us dined there for 33 quid (including the corkage) and left feeling absolutely stuffed.

Highlights: roti canai special (lamb), beef rendang,

Considered the king of Malaysian restaurants, Roti King is a small, and I mean very small family run style restaurant in Euston. It holds around 30 covers at best, but its known for its value and top quality food. I love Malaysian food, it’s one of my favourite types of cuisine and coming here was on my list for a long time, but it was hard to find a friend to come with me as the venue, well is pretty dingy.

I'd say they're one of the best in town. They consistently offer authentic taste with affordable price. I've tried their Canai, Mee Mamak, Nasi Goreng, in addition to Teh Tarik and Milo; all tasted great for my Indonesian tongue. The place is a little cramped, not fancy but good enough to hang out with your close friends. That is, once you get past the queue :)

It's not glamorous but it is lovely. I've eaten there twice now and I would highly recommend the classic Roti, made in front of you on the premises. This will be my go to place whenever I have to meet someone at Euston. You will have to queue at peak hours but in my view it's worth it. The Roti is top quality, flaky, chewy and delicious.Brilliant value as well.

A great option if you are around Euston station. I have been on multiple occasions and the food has always been consistently good. The service is hit and miss, and it can get very crowded. I just came to this resto at lunch time today, already packed with many people inside. I ordered roti canay special (with chicken curry), lamb martabak, curry laksa & mee goreng mamak, as recommended by many reviewers. All food we ordered came quickly with big portion that tasted really good. Big highlight to roti canay & curry laksa, both are The Champion! Although iced tea tarik is not as good as we expected. But definitely will come back to this place since we love malay cuisine and this place is quite authentic ❤️

Roti King isn’t a restaurant for all seasons. Its browbeaten service and general air of shabbiness means it’s not for special occasions, while the cramped tables means it’s not a good choice for any sort of large group. Still, its rock bottom prices and punchy food make it a real gem.

According Wikipedia: Roti is generally an Indian bread, made from stoneground wholemeal flour, traditionally known as atta flour, that originated and is consumed in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Roti also means bread in Malay. It is a famous local dish with many variation. Typically found in Malay / Indian restaurants and cafes which locals call “Mamak”. The ingredients for making this doughy goodness are simple – fat (ghee), water and flour. Not the healthiest but don’t knock it until you try it.

Cheap and cheerful with some of the shabbiest furniture I have ever seen gracing a restaurant.  Authentic tasting Malaysian hawkers food with generous portions, albeit a little greasy.  Don't come here looking for refinement.

We shared char guay teow, or fried flat rice noodles.  Gutsy and flavorful with peanut sauce and plenty of plump prawns.  Sayur Campur (vegetable stir fry)  was pleasant if a little under seasoned.  I liked the addition of fried tofu in this dish which added a nice texture.

We weren't hungry enough for something heavy like roti, but the roti's which arrived at adjacent tables looked amazing.  Must ensure our appetites are big enough for roti next time.

Service was a little haphazard.  Timing of food and beverage arrivals is quite random.  Soft drinks are served at room temperature.  A light lunch for two with soft drinks came to only £16 without service.  Corkage charge for BYO is £5.

Roti King is tucked away behind Euston station and upon first glance looks like some shady 24 hour fast food joint, but looks can certainly be deceiving. As I walked down the stairs I could see every seat in the house occupied. The place isn't that big and can certainly get crowded. We waited for about 10 minutes outside and looked at the menu before being seated.

For lunch I chose the lamb roti canai and cold tek tarik, which is Malaysian tea with condensed milk. Being Vietnamese I do love ice cold tea/coffee and this was so good. The perfect drink to wash down the curry. What stole the show was the roti, it was buttery, light, crispy and didn't make me feel bloated. Prices are reasonable for what you get, I would happily come here again and try something different as the dishes all looked great.

The downside of Roti King was the service was so slow, we waited around 30 minutes for our roti canai. There were tables which ordered after us and were served food before we did. Also one of the staff behind the counter shattered a glass tumbler and it flew everywhere. There was glass on the floor and by my foot, not once did anyone come around to check the floor or pick any up. They only replaced the food on the table closest to the counter after being prompted by the customer.

Roti King, Euston – it is easy to tell if one is Malaysian. Can you guess? This is when a Malaysian starts talking. We are famous for our Manglish vocabulary of the 'lah-s' or 'mah-s' at the end of sentences. It is not perfect English (but perfect Manglish), in fact I am sometimes forgiven for my pigeon English when I have said something that could be interpreted as offensive, but it gave a warm feeling of hearing the slang in a foreign country.

The place is tiny. It can take up to 30 diners at a time. Even if the place is not at its full capacity, once you are seated it is better to stay put. This is not easy if you have a child. I also suspect that the ventilation is not good enough. The lingering smoke from high heat stir-frying was not appealing. You walked out of Roti King smelling of food.

But the food here is proper Malaysian, mamak style; in fact, this is the only place in London that does roti canai, the bready thing that you flip and flop and toss and turn to get a light yet stodgy, crispy and moist at the same time with a curry sauce to complete the dish. It is probably the most popular breakfast choice. Lunch time specials from 12:00 hours to 15:00 hours include a two course meal from GBP 6.50 – GBP 8.50 seems like a good deal. These are dishes which have more in common with the economy rice stalls that you get in Malaysia.

One of the reasons that mamak stalls in Malaysia grew was because of their drinks offered; teh tarik (pulled tea), ABC (crushed ice with various ingredients), coffee, milo (hot chocolate), etc which you also get it here at Roti King. Desserts are not available here but they have a few sweet roti. No alcohol is served.

After ordering it took a while before our food was served. Do not be surprised if food does not arrive all together at the same time. Dishes are served when they are ready, another mamak way of serving. Takeaways are available.

We of course had a good service since we knew them and it was all quite laid back. We enjoyed it because we wanted to be left on our own. Parking is not easy in the area but Euston station is a short walk away.

If you want an experience of the mamak stall in England, make sure you eat here at Roti King before considering a 13 hours direct flight to Malaysia. As a Malaysian myself, I confirm that Roti King is the real deal here.

The food:
1. lamb murtabak GBP 5.00 – The lamb filling is moist with a crispy pastry. It was pretty good except that the minced lamb was very mild and did not have a strong muttony taste.

2. roti canai with dhal GBP 4.50 – probably the European flour gives it a slightly different texture from the Malaysian, however, it is a joy to eat one of my favourite dishes in London.

3. roti canai special (ie. with chicken curry) GBP 5.50

4. mamak mee goreng GBP 6.50 – this is a MUST to order. Spicy and nicely moist for a wet-ish and slippery plate of noodles. Delicious!

5. bee hoon goreng GBP 6.50 – it could be a little spicier for my taste.

Down a random side street near Euston is the place to get authentic Malaysian and Singaporean street food. Don’t let the look and the size of the eatery put you off in any way. Two signs, one of Roti King and the other of Euston Chinese Takeaway mark the site. Roti King is nothing fancy and it is all pretty basic. A very small eating area, together with the chef making the rotis at the front by the entrance is pretty much what Roti King is. Queues of diners going out of the door and up the stairs to street level eagerly wait for a table so that they can have some of the roti and curries. The place is so small that tables are shared between diners and there is a quick turnaround with food and customers. Quality is no way compromised though. Flaky, buttery, crispy, hot rotis are made by the skilled chef. It is mesmerising to see the Roti King chef at work. You can watch his skills from the covered glass area. Everything happens front of house, from the roti making to the washing of the dishes. The way the rotis are made are first the chef flattens the dough ball fairly thin. Then through a series of flips and turns, he makes it paper thin. With some additional folds, rotations and more flattening, he makes it a round shape ready for the hot plate. After the roti is cooked, back it goes onto the stainless silver work surface to be scrunched up. And there you have it, the Roti King has worked his magic and the roti is ready to be served with your curry. Two dishes were chosen for this weeknight meal. One was Roti Telor which was the roti with egg in the middle. This was had with the Dahll Curry. The Dahll Curry was a combination of a dahl with a curry base which gave it a wonderful distinctive moreish flavour. The roti was perfect to dip into the tasty, mild Dahll Curry. The second dish was the Roti Canai with Curry Fish. Fried pieces of fish in a slightly spicy sauce accompanied the plain rotis. Again a wonderful and delicious dish.

If Roti King were a man, he would be Takeshi Kaneshiro in the next installment of Magic Mike Roti Canai aka roti paratha arrived in Malaysia and Singapore via India and is a light flaky flat “bread” (roti translates as bread although this is more a multi layered pancake), which is flipped/ folder/ layered and then fried in ghee, which is either crazy unhealthy or crazy delicious depending on your personal preference, or both! if you have an iron stomach like me…

It is hard to find good Malaysian food in London, and particularly good freshly made roti canai like back home in Malaysia.
I first tried Roti King when he was based on Charing Cross Road. And I have also tried his tasty roti at Malaysian festivals around London.

The restaurant itself is quite small and slightly cramp, but when the food is good I am willing to compromise on this. A must-order dish is obviously the Roti. You can order them served with dhal, fish curry, lamb curry (all really good), or there are some sweet options as well! Unlike most places in London, their roti is all freshly made and has a nice flaky texture.
The murtabak is quite yummy as well.
The curry laksa is also very good. I personally prefer the assam laksa version, but I also do enjoy the curry version like this one. The flavours are nice and the soup is very coconut-y. It kind of resembled Curry Mee that I have back home in Penang.

I tried the bee hoon goreng on my most recent visit. If you like spicy foods like me then I would recommend requesting for them to add more chilli!
The bee hoon was a bit plain, so we requested for some sambal to go with it, which was then mush tastier.
I have previously also tried their mee goreng, which isn't too bad.

For drinks, I always order teh tarik, which you can have hot or cold.
They also have do as kacang if you want some dessert!
If you don't have time to eat in, you can always order to takeaway.

One of my regular places in London for good value Malaysian food, I would definitely recommend.

After being told incessantly that I should try this place out I was initially underwhelmed when I arrived at the tiny cramped location. Our group was squashed into a cramped seating area and I was left wondering if I was in the right place. And then the Roti came and everything was clear. I ordered the vegetarian dhal and it tasted like heaven in my mouth. For people who live locally you can take away if you don't like the vicinity. Even though there was a wait, the friendly service and great food made up for it.

We went to check out Roti King after a few foodie friends suggested we try it. When we got there there was a queue out of the door and tracking up the stairs into the street!

Whilst we waited for our food, we were enthralled with the skill and precision of one of the chefs making the rotis. Great theatre to watch during your meal!

We got the lamb and the chicken curries on recommendation from our waiter. Both were perfect, with a good balance of spices and chilli heat; though be warned that the meat dishes come with bones if you are not expecting this – we are used to it though and it adds more flavour to the curries in our opinion.

All curries are priced at a bargain £5.50 including two plain rotis.

We are sure you will love Roti King as much as we do – we are already planning our next visit!

“Inside. Funny place. Like being back in India. x”

This was the text Joe sent me just after he had arrived for our dinner at Roti King, and I was still making my way along Euston Road, battling with shoes that were viciously cutting my feet up. And he had a point. Down a back alley a few steps away from Euston Station, and occupying a fluorescent lit basement with dark brown tables and linoleum floor, it was hardly the most stylish of venues I have suggested we meet up at.

But looks aren’t everything right? And it’s a place that had been making regular appearances in my Instagram and Twitter feeds, with food-obsessed friends rhapsodising about the quality and authenticity of its rotis. I trusted them, and Joe, thankfully, trusted me.

The service is brusque and hurried. This is not a place to dally over the menu, so to expedite matters ignore the Chinese menu and order from the special roti one instead. Actually, you don’t even need to look at that. Have the lamb or chicken roti canai. (I’m not normally this dictatorial, forgive me).

In addition to our food we both ordered a lychee drink each which turned out to be a few whole lychees swimming in their sweet juice. An impressive alternative to the usual from-concentrate stuff.

The rotis themselves are made by Suden in the open-fronted kitchen, and you can watch him skillfully stretch the dough into a silk-thin, almost transparent sheet before ruching it up, creating the folds and layers needed for its textue, coating it in slippery butter and frying. The resulting flatbreads are flaky and buttery, yet surprisingly light for all that, and the perfect instrument to dunk in the rich, deeply spiced curry that accompanies it. I can’t pretend this is elegant food. It’s bold and brash, and makes its presence known to your taste-buds in no uncertain terms. It’s the drunk uncle at a wedding, not the pastel-wearing bridesmaid. And I loved it for that. While I’ve yet to go to Malaysia, those who have tell me it’s perfectly authentic.

Along with our roti canai we also had a portion of spinach and cheese roti, sticky and oozing slices that would be perfect after a bit too much booze. The sweet rotis for dessert are also meant to be excellent, although sadly we were both too full to try. A reason to go back (not that I need one).

At just £5.50 for a roti canai and curry Roti King has swiftly gone to the top of my favourite London cheap eats list. So often a country’s cuisine is distorted by London restaurants’ desire to be cool and glossy. This place is definitely not trying to be either. And is so much the better for it. A real find.

Squeezed in here with 5 others for some roti from the Roti King. This is a small restaurant and shares the premise with Euston Chinese. We were the last group to get a table (by around 7pm Sat) and any later we'd have to wait for a while.
They get very busy so service can be patchy but we were patient. We all ordered the roti except one that went with a laksa. They were very nice in customising the laksa as she didn't eat chicken but OK with seafood.
Unfortunately doesn't look like the Roti King was working tonight but we still had gorgeous freshly made rotis which came with a bowl of chicken curry (you can choose from lamb, fish or dhal).
I wanted to try their dessert like roti kaya (a coconut jam I've only tried in Singapore, which are popular in Malaysia as well), or the roti cone with chocolate. But I was too full so will have to save it for another time...

Amazing Malaysian/Singapore cuisine! All the dishes were delicious - very well seasoned, rich and flavourful! It’s also very well priced. It’s also fairly well priced - we ordered 4 dishes, a dessert and drinks to share between 4 people and it was just under £20!

Worth every penny. Had the mutton Roti and the spicy chicken….. both were very very good! Only one order per table per visit so choose wisely. Sometimes they have a line but it’s worth the wait. Enjoy!

Tiny place with a long line up. Food was excellent, service was good. Price is very good, portions smallish, so we should have ordered 4 for 3 of us. They have a one time order policy, so it would be too late to add something. A very nice meal with nice flavour. Recommended.

Excellent food and friendly, quick service. The restaurant is very small but with a quick turnover. Although queues do get quite long, I didn’t have to wait too long - about 20 minutes. It’s worth the wait! Food is excellent. Rotis are flaky and delicious and the curry’s are equally as good. There is a one order policy, so keep that in mind. Would recommend.

This may be the beginning of an unhealthy obsession, I’ve ordered 2 days back to back now. My first experience at Roti King was at their Battersea branch and food was great. I saw them on Ubereats but was apprehensive to give it a try since take away deliveries can be a hit and miss. Packaging: No spills, curry was secured and temperature was reasonable. I didn’t expect it to be piping hot considering the distance and weather. Taste: Exact same great taste, flavour or presentation was not compromised. No difference than eating in. Portion: I think portions are reasonable considering the price. I’m a greedy pig so I do need 2 order 2 mains to fill me up. If you order a curry with roti, order an extra roti (or 2) so you can have the perfect curry-roti ratio. The best thing is that you don’t have to queue up when you order online. Either way don’t hesitate to order or dine in. All their dishes are great, it’s so hard to recommend one.

This place has a long queue. I came at 5:30 pm on a rainy day and the line was 30-40 min long estimated wait time. Luckily, I was a party of 1 and got seated at the one bar stool in the restaurant. I sampled the roti canai with chicken, the mee goreng, and the dessert roti. Everything was really, really good - the place is worth the hype. The roti is actually freshly made, as the restaurant proudly shows. On its own, you can tell it’s homemade compared to the frozen rotis that you’ve had at the grocery store but this tastes fresher and more authentic. I like to put chicken and curry on top of the roti for the true Malaysian experience! The mee goreng was perfectly seasoned, and had a nice combination of flavors and textures. Among the best I’ve had! The dessert roti was also nice and warm and blended well together with the roti.

Went twice here on this week because the food taste very food but you have to ready to queue. The 1st time here, I arrived 15 minutes before they open and there were queue. The 2nd time, I went on Thursday night at 19h and I waited for an hour. But it’s worth it! Quick service (but you only can order once so prepare to order everything you want) too. Love everything I tried so far: Nasi Goreng, Kari Laksa, Ayam Goreng, Kangkung Belancan, spinach and cheese roti is a must try! But the teh tarik is too creamy for my taste. These do satisfy my Indonesian taste 👍🏻

As everyone already mentioned, there will be a waiting line and it's part of the experience. Beware: if it rains (remember you’re in London) there’s no cover. No alcohol but there’s a 12.5 corkage charge per table for byo alcohol. Clearly, great roti.

At Roti King, the anticipation begins even before you step through the door, with a queue that speaks volumes about the culinary delights that await inside. The wait outside, though a test of patience, only heightens the sensory experience once seated. Each dish exudes a symphony of flavors that transports you directly to the heart of authentic cuisine. The rotis, true to the restaurant's name, are flaky perfection, complementing the rich gravies and meticulously spiced accompaniments. Service is prompt and attentive, making the overall experience memorable. It's not just a meal; it's a journey, and one that's well worth the wait. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an unparalleled taste adventure.

This is what a truly Malaysian meal should be like. I came here twice with my girlfriend and had a great time, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Sometimes there is a queue, so you may have to wait before entering. Also, the place closes at 15 for a while if I recall correctly so take that into account. After being seated we were informed that we had to order everything we wanted since the start, that's just how it works there. After the food was brought my girlfriend was sooooo happy, because she said it was truly authentic, this is exactly what it would be like in Malaysia. To summarize, take into account the opening and closing times, the queue, and the great authentic Malaysian food.
