The five lads can give a great competition to nandos in a near future. Its loved by people who really like spicy asian taste to their chicken, their food is well cooked and service is fast. Though i didnt like their hummus, it was too cold and tasteless.
Got a lamb burger, very juicy and tasted great. Not too much sauce and lettuce. Bun nicely toasted, not soggy. Definitely recommend this place.
As soon as I got there I realised the food must be really good. As the place was packed!!!

Service was very prompt and quick, something which I really like to have.
Portion of fries was sufficient for a person and not like those burger points who litter just serve a handful of fries.

Can I give a ten star rating. There food was very cheap and delicious, I took an hamburger with a juice which was really yummy. I even bought couples of hamburger home. Recommended to satisfy your need for a lovely meal
Really nice burgers/grilled chicken, generous portions, very prompt service and very reasonably priced ....we really enjoyed our lunch. Def worth a visit.

The food was definitely above expectation as I did honestly think that it would be rubbish!
But to my surprise the food was banging and full of flavour.

Awesome value for money, the food is tasty and you can get so many chips!! We have been been numerous times and my fiancé is on his way over now for more as I write this. Good job five lads.
Have to rate this place highly as the food for the pricing is probably the best. Good chicken and good meats. Not your full gourmet beef or lamb burgers. But you will have no complaints as its more on the grill side. My new fav spot for on the go food. Will try other menus here.

Amazing. I think I've eaten @ Five Lads 5 or 6 times in the last 2 weeks. The food is always freshly cooked In front of you, the portions are generous, and tastes delicious. I've taken my son and niece here too, and they keep asking me to take them again and again and again....Would definitely recommend to anyone. Oh, and it's crazy cheap too.
Decided to go here with 2 other mates on a quiet Tuesday evening. When we arrived we were shocked to see the place was crowded with people...we looked at it positively and thought surely this must be a great place to eat... I decided to go for the beef gourmet burger, whilst my mates chose the chicken burgers...we were surprised how fast the food was ready..(once your food is done, they call your number and you have to collect it yourself, which didn't bother us much)
The size was generous and I have to say the food was definitely worth the money...I mean a beef gourmet burger meal only £4.79!!
Overall I have to say the service was great, the staff were friendly and assured us we will have seats (bare in mind it can only carter for about 40 people), food was pretty decent and the price is definitely worth it. I would definitely come back here and try their other range food.

A new place in Leyton! Today I went to Five Lads in Leyton, which has been only open for 2 or 3 weeks and is a peri peri grill restaurant . It was very busy after the jummah rush and they had a long wait for the chicken 25mins, so I ordered Gourmet Lamb burger meal, which cost an amazing £4.95, burger, with any side and can drink. Burger patty was fresh and thick but just lacked that special secret element, i think the burger needed some type of sauce inside, other than mayo. I got one side of chips and coleslaw, the chips where steak cut but slightly undercooked for my liking.Â
Before the burger I got some chicken wings for starters, at £2.99. These were brilliant. Possibly better than nandos?Â
After finished the burger I had room for some a proper bit of chicken. I got a 1/4 chicken meal, an amazing £3.49.Â
This restaurant is a cross between a kebabish and nandos, space for around 25 people. I was very impressed with the food and value. The service and logistics are still being worked on, but it's only been open for a few weeks.Â

I am surprised by some of the comments to be fair. I really like this place, the staff are great (admittedly the photos shows one of the quiet times that I went, so I could take good pics).
The platter is REALLY GOOD, the sauce on it is lovely. The burgers, chicken where freshly prepared, so the chicken was tender.
The gentleman on the counter even accommodated my drinks request, as I don't do soft drinks (coke/pepsi) I told him.
Family friendly too and lots of seating options, that's why we like it.
Food was really delicious but service was little bit poor.

The food was great, tasty, and fresh. I really like it, especially the grill chicken and the Burger as well. Tables are clean and give you a fresh look when you staff is kind and generous. Although when they are so busy the service is a little bit slow.
Honestly, probably better than Nandos. The food isn't the cheapest option but it's worth paying a little extra for the improved quality. The chicken is really fresh and juicy and flavourful, and even the chips and sides are really tasty. Well worth it!

This one is popular. I went in on a Sunday and it was busy. The recipe is great. Best thing about this company is they mix a beef with a chicken burger it's a must try for any one I love the peri peri flavour to it and the food is for those worried about clean eating because its rather lean food
I loved the food and the service from this place today. Will 100% come again, I had a huge family and the servers catered to us well even though it was very busy. The lemon and herb wings were so tasty, I recommend!

Have eaten here many times and always fresh & tasty and well worth the money. Better than the large chain that serves similar food.
Customer service was good. Grilled chicken and wings were tasty. Petty of Lamb burger and Beef burgers were not that juicy and bit dry. Very little bit of sauce inside the burger so it's give you dry taste. Also very limited choice of sauses only ketchup, normal mayonnaise and chilli sauce. Restaurant was clean and nice atmosphere.
