The owners are the loveliest people! Wonderful Birthday meal. Humbling experience too My late, Sri Lankan Nan (RIP Nana) made food of this quality and it’s been a long time since I’ve had food which matched hers and this brought it all back to me Throughout this dining experience, my Nan was with me - From the first smile, to the last bite. She was here Thank you for a lovely birthday meal (I’ll bring more of the family next)

I've been getting take-aways from here for years. As a Sri Lankan I can vouch for the food. Mepali's a very good cook, and her food is completely authentic home-cooking. Our whole family missed it when we moved away for a couple of years. We have tried a few other Sri Lankan restaurants in London and abroad, but in my view the food here is the best. And her and husband are lovely people.

A very lovely little gem of a place. Traditional home cooked Sri Lankan food including short eats. Friendly owners. Take away lump rice is absolutely exquisite. I am a regular customer and highly recommend them.

We arrived on a Friday evening at 6.30pm. The restaurant was empty and we were told there is a large group booking. The owners were lovely and accommodating and they said although they couldn’t provide a menu (because of the group booking) we can have a plate of food with all the different vegetable dishes and chicken - for £5 per plate. Although initially unsure whether to stay or go - we decided to stay and have the plate of food. I was glad to have stayed as the food provided was delicious and tasted homemade. We had white rice with a lovely piece of chicken, mushrooms fry, potatoes in sauce, lentils, aubergine and some spinach. There was also a little crispy poppadom. The restaurant is a little bit ‘vintage’ in appearance - you really have to come here for the food rather than the atmosphere.

I've had Indian, Persian, Pakistani curries this was the first Sri Lankan cuisine I had and it seemed so much better than the rest. Had the best mutton biryani with chicken curry, okra and daal side. On top of that roti, really enjoyed the roti. Look past the decor and front and you will find an amazing culinary experience. The chef is a little Sri Lankan lady who knows what's she's doing!
