Decided to hit the Sunday lunch!! The pub has recently gone through a renovation and is looking all fresh and new!! The service is awesome, the food was of a good quality although some items on my plate were cold.
Not a bad place to have a drink and just spend some time with good friends or a loved one.
Good reliable pub. Always busy. The food won't be winning any awards. But a good place to meet with friends for a few drinks. The do live band /open mic nights.
My first time at The Railway and I was very pleased to have come. There is an extensive seating indoors bit also a very pleasant seating area at the back which is outdoors. I enjoyed their cloudy summer Ale 'Under the Sun', it was lovely with an even nicer fish and chips, good portion size, the batter was excellent and the mushy peas with a hint of mint was perfect!
Had a lovely experience. Went with some friends and chatted to the barman (assume GM) extensive knowledge of drinks spoke about lots of things. As working in a pub enjoyed this interaction. Clean toilets cute little vibe
Came for food and drinks at lunchtime on Sunday. The staff were super friendly, and I loved how many different drink options they offered! our food came out really quickly and was very nice! Would definitely come back.

We had such a wonderful time celebrating our son's first birthday at The Railway! The booking process (which was confirmed by Aleks) was absolutely seamless. He was extremely prompt and accommodating.
We live in Essex so arranged all via email. His attention to detail was so appreciated and found us the perfect seating arrangement for our guests in the outdoor area! We loved it! We were grateful to be able to bring our balloons beforehand also.
The team on the day were so friendly and helpful and all of our guests felt so welcome and comfortable.
Freddie was brilliant! We found him to be so helpful, attentive and personable. He pulled out all the stops to make our experience extra special, helping us to capture memories on camera and coordinating the cake and even singing happy birthday in harmony (I did notice!)
The Food was truly delicious too. There were clean plates all round.
I just want to say thank you so very much for such a lovely experience. I would highly recommend for anyone looking to book an event.

Lovely old pub next door to Blackheath BR Station. QR code to get menu & order from your table. Good tasty food. Well worth a visit if you are in the area
Very nice food and friendly staff. Nice to come for a Sunday roast. The beer bartered fish ain’t too bad either. Will come back.
Bank holidays are made for BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH! The Railway delivers every time! Food was incredible! The drinks appeared like magic and the staff were superb! Special mention to Ashley the manger who couldn’t do enough for us! Can’t wait to do it again !!

I love this place. Inside smell good, staff is friendly, music on background, WC clean and have women "extras".
Didn’t eat but looked a lot and the food menu and looked good value. Very nice staff behind the bar and looking forward to eating there as well soon as everything smelt and lol
