First time visitor and will definitely go back! Staff very friendly and smiley! Saw Limehouse Lizzy who were superb, great to have a venue hosting live music!
Played there many times and seen great live music there many times too. It has a wonderful history and a great vibe. Totally recommend you catch a band there.
Great show staff so so helpful they kindly reserved seats for the show for my parents who wouldn’t have been able to enjoy too rex without being able to sit down a really great night xx
Great ambiance in the music room. Some great bands, comedians etc not to mention excellent food with friendly service. Parking was very easy on Sunday too.
Great team and lovely pub! We had our engagement party in the beer garden and the staff were fantastic.
Brilliant evening with the Kast Out Kinks. And my OH loved it too and he is not a gig goer. Friendly atmosphere and great music. Good luck to the bride to be who brought her hen party along.
One plea - could tall people stand further back and allow shorter people a better view please?
One of the best small venues in London. Great pub and we love the comedy night.
Omg! Lovely food! Exquisite place to be! ✨🌸✨🌸
I had a great evening and loved the ambiance too; warm service:)
Well, I suggest all to visit if you feel like some liquor and simple great food! 🎈
Nice pub with quirky and cosy interior design, located close to the river in Putney. They have a good range of beers on tap and the gastro pub menu is nicer than some typical pub fare around.
There's a music hall out the back, regularly featuring live bands and artists.I need to head back in summer to check out the pop-up Burger Shack!
A great location and a wide bar selection with a a great little stage area out the back to watch local bands. The sound is not great and it's pretty dingy which is such a shame in comparison to the well kept and bright vibe in the rest of the pub.

Good Putney pub. 3 cask beers on handpump when I visited. Decent sized garden to the rear some of it covered.
The pub is a famous live music venue and has been hosting gigs every day since the 1960s. Gigs are in a separate back room well soundproofed from the bar.
Surprisingly quiet before the Spurs game at Craven Cottage.
Went to see Absolute Bowie tribute and it was amazing! The half moon is one of the places for live music and we go a lot. Drinks are london prices so expect to pay £7+ for a pint. Music room is usually a sell out so try to get there for doors if you want a good perch.
Went to see a couple of bands Hayseed Dixie supported by Fargo Railroad Co.
Both of which were excellent great atmosphere and excellent entertainers.
Good selection of drinks and competitively priced. Plenty of seating in the bar or beer garden but all seating in the music area of the venue reserved so had to stand throughout the performances . A hand stamp re-entry service was in operation so could go back to bar and toilets without any problem. Thoroughly enjoyable evening didn't eat here so cannot comment on the food.
Not been here for many years but it's as good as I remember. Bar has a great selection of draught and even though there was a sold out gig it was easy to get served. Being able to leave the venue to get the pint they didn't have in the small bar inside was a nice touch. Great experience all round.
Came for the gig on Sunday and it were amazing! Such a great atmosphere in a historical venue! Free parking too on Sundays which was an added bonus! Had roast chicken, delicious and super affordable for such a large portion and good quality! Can’t wait to come back already!!
Went to a gig in the back room. The sound was atrocious. There was very loud feedback, some members of the band weren't audible at times, and I wasn't alone in leaving.
However, the bar staff were lovely, the service was great, and it's a very comfortable venue. I just won't go back for any live music.
The Half Moon is one of my fav pubs in the area. Service is great, very friendly and efficient. Pints were good. We both had fish and chips which was very nice.
It is also famous for live music and we have been to a few gigs here in the past. No gig for us on this visit but it's definitely one to try as it's a excellent little venue.
Amazing pub, with amazing food, drinks and live music every night. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Menu has a lot of vegetarian and vegan options and the burger shack is just amazing. Highly recommended coming in and checking out the music venue.
Saw the Special kind of Madness. It is a fantastic London venue for music tribute bands and the like. With venues dwindling, this spot has a brill reputation for great bands.
We visited for a Cuban afternoon. The food was amazing and the cocktails were too. D.J played fab Cuban music and people got up and danced and enjoyed the summer afternoon into the evening. Toilets were clean and accessible and travel links good. Sainsburys local petrol station right next door if you need it. A fabulous venue. That also boasts a rooftop area
Great pub and music venue with amazing musical acts of throughout every week! Delicious food with great vegan options and more than enough drinks to choose from! Lovely team and all together 5 star pub
Great little music venue and amazing food!
Joined the half moon for a friend's gig this evening and it is a quaint little place. Lots of folks here, but there is a nice size garden and event space for the gig nicely kept aside so it doesn't fill too early.
Security were relaxed and professional and were patient with disabled patrons like myself, and there were ok spaces to move about, albeit it got a bit tight when the place was busier around the latter part of the night.
Service was good, I do recommend a burger from the little outside "van" in the garden, this saved us having to try to get inside to sort food so helped a lot when it was busy.
Overall, the event space was well ventilated and aired, and was a very personal experience with the talent, the overall volume was not as loud as I was expecting, so it was still low enough to talk.
A very nice little place overall, and look forward to when I go there again
Great pub in Putney! Didn't have the food so don't know how it is but the drinks and the staff were great. I went to a gig here and it was a lovely venue to hear live music at! Very clean bathrooms which is important to me as well. Would definitely come back here for a gig again especially because some good acts are coming this summer it looks like
Great pub.. simple and unpretentious and really good music venue with some brilliant original musicians and excellent tribute bands..
Amazing venue in the the heart of Wandsworth. Easy to get to and to find a parking. Came here for a Saturday night gig and really enjoyed myself. Spent less then i though I would. Amazing atmosphere in the venue and the staff is brilliant.
The Half Moon is generally great as a pub / small live music venue. Creedence Clearwater Review, a CCR covers band, were excellent & entertained a packed house brilliantly. The only downside to The Half Moon were the men's toilet which really needed sorting out!
Going to a Sunday afternoon gig at the Halfmoon and booked a table for lunch beforehand. Have to say food and service was excellent. Partner is gluten free (intolerant, rather than allergic) and server explained all the options and also checked their food folder to see what was okay. We had nacho’s, huge portion, Mac ‘n cheese and the roast chicken. All the portions were large and tasted great. Good price, great, friendly service. Will definitely be going back.
