Amazing tasty authentic Persian food in this lovely restaurant. All the courses were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Very friendly staff and real nice decor in the restaurant. Highly recommend 5* :-)
The food tastes amazing! It can be a bit more friendly environment, but i would still go back for the food.
Nice food, but the waiter came across a bit rude! Service was not great... ie wine and drink came late, after starters.
Cute cosy place with really delicious food, the meat is soft and well seasoned and the dessert was also amazing, would definitely come again
Lovely Persian food with friendly, attentive service. Tahdig with crispy top and fluffy rice. Juicy grilled chicken. Yummy generous aubergine dip. Such a gem in the neighbourhood!
Edit: We went back for dinner and it was just as lovely and welcoming. The food and service are superior to another more expensive and popular Persian restaurant in London that we are also fond off! They don’t serve alcohol but you can BYOB (with corkage; we overheard).
My favorite Persian in London! The Khashke Bademjan is delicious…
Delicious tahchin! One of the best, the only issue is that it has too much butter so after a few spoonfuls you feel full.
They also have great starters, my favourite is the Mirza ghasemi. Their morghe tursh is nice but each time I’ve tried it, it was slightly undercooked for me.
Very cosy restaurant but limited in terms of number of seating inside if you’re a big group.
I really hope the expand and make the restaurant bigger and maybe open another branch in North London :)
All round very delicious. Their lamb dishes and baklava is a must. Food comes out quite slow and one of our dish was served room temp not hot…
We’ve been in Chelo several time. The food is very nice. Jooje torsh and tahchin are the best. Staff are very friendly. One time we went as a group of 20 people, the service was a bit slow and the food was cold. However they changed the food without any hesitation. That was one occasion and they managed it very well. I think they deserve 5 star and I would recommend Chelo if you are looking for a good Persian food.
I love Chelo! One of the best Persian restaurants in London. Their changing menu keeps it interesting. They present their food beautifully and their portion sizes are spot on. Nice relaxed atmosphere.
On our recent visit we sat outside and despite the rain, the tarp kept us completely dry and the heaters kept us toasty warm. The staff were very attentive and we had a great time.
Highly recommend. Well done guys! Can't wait to try the two new branches at Soho House 😁
Superb wholesome satisfying tasty food. Can't fault the food or the service. Make sure you try the specials. Also it has 8 tables of 4 so do book. So so tasty. Friends visiting who are big foodies said some of the best food irrespective of cuisine they has had.

AMAZING! Took 14 people there on Norouz (just before Saal e naw); staff were really accomodating.
all 14 LOVED the food (1 Persian, 2 half Persians so discerning crowd).
I'm giving a 5 stars because they were fantastic but a few pointers:
(1.) they need to forewarn people about space constraints.
(2.) they have a square room but round tables
(3.) they need to get a larger restaurant because they are simply awesome
Cozy delicious Persian place. My favourite is the chicken kebab, cooked to perfection and the zereshk polo. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Don’t forget a warm cup of Persian tea to close the meal!
Visited Aug 2021 as part of a close one’s Friday night birthday dinner. Called up the restaurant in the afternoon on the day of the meal to ask if bringing our own cake and candles would be ok. It was absolutely fine, and no extra cost was levied. In terms of the food, it was outstanding. At my end of the table, we had the mixed grill for £52, which served four. There was a platter of five kebabs (beef, lamb and chicken) which came with four sides. Of these, they were all excellent, and the tahdig was especially recommended. The doogh came with dried rose petals as well as the usual dried mint which I thought was a nice touch.
Genuinely delicious kebab, super succulent chicken with a super fresh salad and warm pitta.
Great vibe and buzz too!
