Great pub such a good atmosphere, we really enjoyed our food too. I hate when pubs all look the same like a generic gastro pub this place is way better.

Absolutely loved it and seriously considering making it my new spot, passed it many times and wrote it off as a boring pub but once you're through the doors and into the back garden you can't help but be blown away by character and atmosphere. If I could give more than five stars I would.

It actually was quite fun and a nice pub that's a bit like the TARDIS: MUCH bigger on the inside. While the furniture and bar area were pretty standard, it was the wall decor and garden statues that stood out to me the most.

Great pub for sport in Brixton with the bonus of a huge beer garden out back for summer. The food is ok value too. I had a spatchcock and chips for £12 that filled the plate and my stomach. Decent dressing on the chicken too.

This pub has one of the best and biggest secret gardens in London.

A fairly nondescript red brick building The Duke pub is a facade to a sizeable beer garden, surrounded by trees and tucked in behind a block of houses.

It is a great place to relax with a beverage on a summer afternoon, while a chap manning a barbecue serves up steaks and hamburgers.

Inside they have a pool table and plenty of TVs showing the football. They serve some gastro pub grub staples including sausages and mash, rib eye steak and fish and chips for around a tenner.

But it's the garden that's the big draw - an oasis of green in the gritty back streets of Brixton.

It was my first time there. I was very impressed with the bar. Great service, friendly staff, and a huge beer garden for events. Very impressive. It's definitely worth a visit.

This is a really massive pub with great outdoor space (and heating) that has friendly staff and a really nice owner. We were recommended a white wine which just tastes amazing so they know what is good. Lots of different food options but unfortunately did not end up eating there. They also have good prices on drinks and happy hour as well! The outdoor venue is a lot different from indoors which creates this amazing duality of being at two different places. Would definitely come back again for some more food and wine.

Their version of Sunday roast is very interesting. I had a sandwich with a nice pulled beef which came with a fair amount of potatoes, a Yorkshire pudding and a bit of gravy. For 14.50 I could consider myself happy, given the prices in the first two areas of the capital at the moment. Inside, the atmosphere is not top but the back garden is quite of a good option, especially in sunny days. Nice range of beers too.

This garden pub tucked away in a residential area of Brixton is superb. Normally in garden pubs you expect to wait in a long queue to get served drinks but there is a 2 line queue system for the outside bar to remove that issue. The garden itself is huge with lots benches and tables lines up in rows. The food available is mostly Caribbean but everything we ordered was superb and could not fault it. It also arrived fairly quickly even though it was peak eating time and the garden was packed. The only down side is the garden closes at around 10pm so you are forced to go inside, but as it's residential you can totally understand that. The inside however is well kept traditional old boozer with lots of seating. Some nice old features of the original pub still there which is great. The staff are all friendly as are the clientele. I'll be recommending this place to friends and definitely coming back mostly for the jerk chicken burger and jerk fries!

Typical pub vibe with outstanding food selection, reasonable pricing and incredible outside terrace that you must make a use of in good weather. The pub is spacious and they take bookings, so perfect for friends meet up. The food is exceptionally delicious with tasty vegetarian and meat options. Jerk chicken burger and cauliflower pops are a complete must try. No roast dinner here but an exceptional jerk twist to all your favourite pub food.

I’m obsessed with this pub! Such good vibes. The inside of the pub is very plain and you would never have guessed that they had this ginormous beer garden outside! So perfect for summer. The food was delicious and I will definitely be going back

Went here on a weekday so it was quite quiet, but meant we got space to enjoy an evening. The beer garden was huge and would have been amazing in summer. Ordered the halloumi meal from white people can't jerk, lots of flavour and very filling. Everyone in the group enjoyed their meals. Decent value drinks; not expensive but not the cheapest either.
