This is one of my favourite restaurants in Tooting. They have really delicious mediterranean style food and nice mezze platters. It is well priced, The merguez is nice and I like their sandwiches too.

I love stealing some me-time at a quiet cafe’ and am always on the look out for ones that call out to me . I am quite a fan of ”Euphorium” at Angel,London but its quite far and I become very lazy in winter , so travelling far away is ruled out.Interestingly enough for the past few months on my way to Tooting Broadway where I go and buy my Indian groceries every week I have been noticing the Tartine Artisanal Cafe and silently promising myself that after am done with the shopping I will treat myself to a cuppa, but then with heavy shopping bags for company all I want to is take the next bus home…sigh…
Finally last week when I met my friend for a dosa lunch at ”Dosa and Chutney” which has somehow become our new lunch haunt , we decided to go and have a relaxed cuppa at the Tartine.
As soon as you enter through the doors the whole manic high street outside seems to disappear , you wouldn’t know after a while whether you are actually in Tooting …I love when that happens , an added impetus to dream away …
Its the kind of place where you loose track of time…
Where you can sit for hours and watch the world go by …or even loose yourself in the infinite reflections of the beautiful .soft cafe’ lights onto the street outside.
Everything about the decor is just so right – the brick wall at the counter, the fire place, the plush brown sofa that you can sink into , the chairs with street names in a nice font , the cushions mimicking jute bags in which coffee is packed, the coffee cake placed on the cake stand with a ..
Fantastic. I go most Sundays for an eggs benedict and black coffee. Perfect!
Best cappucinos I've ever had! Lovely staff amazing atmosphere, beautiful interior best food. Our new favourite spot.
Found this place by chance when going for breakfast with a friend and would definitely go back. It's very nice inside and the man running the service was very kind. The capuccino was really big, but I found it really good and I enjoyed a freshly squeezed orange juice as well, and a warm ham and cheese croissant. I would recomment this place if you live in the area.
Very nice little restaurant with excellent food. We've been here for breakfast and were very happy with this choice. The food and also coffee and mango/passionfruit lemonade was amazing. We had the avocado/salmon toast and the truffled omlette. Size of the portion was sufficient and big. The staff was very friendly and open for a chat to recommend some nice places to go.
A little expensive, but definitely worth it. A lot of love for the details on the plate.
resumee: very good!
Looking forward to coming here again.
Nice decor and the menu is varied, but not overly so. There are like 2 sections and if you sit at the back they might not notice you right away. I would go back.
Tartine it's a special place. The atmosphere here is calm and perfect for a relaxing breakfast, a drink, or lunch. Great selection of breakfast dishes and also main courses. The chef will prepare delicious food served in a nice presentation as well. The prices are amazing like the quality of the food. I come here very often, and the kind and friendly staff will welcome you everytime giving you a fantastic experience.
Tartine Artisanal is a rustic little cafe. My wife and I ordered a full English ( food is halal) food very was nice, cooked with love. Presentation was perfect and service was excellent.
We didn't have to wait long which is wonderful especially when your hungry.
Came here like 3 years go after friend recommended.
Fantastic environment, hosted a private event in the back section of the cafe. Food was fantastic and delicious. We had the meat or veg Lasange with either chips or salad. The mint lemonade was a super hit amongst the guests. Ali, Allel and Joe were fabulous throughout the day.
Cozy café with really good breakfast. Ordered a baguette and eggs royale(those with smoked salmon) which beat our expectations. Specially the eggs that came with a lot of salmon which is something hard to find when you order this dish somewhere else. Service friendly and attentive
Great food, quick and friendly service, nice rustic decor
Very nice, cute interior, personal, cosy space. Well done up. Accommodating for push chairs and toys/books for kids. Meat is halal too. Customer service is excellent, try their best to accommodate your needs. Always friendly, especially the manager. Here's some pics for you.
