I visited this pub after taking a course at Central Saint Martins with my classmates.
We had many drinks at an average price.
But what is really worth mentioning are the burgers there!
Damn. 🍔
Any bacon burger they make is well worth mentioning.
Add some cheese on your fries and you are well ready for a good night-out on the town !

They Star of Kings is a lovely little pub down the road from King's Cross, with several rooms and an outside area to sit in. I find it quite nice and the drinks are very well priced so if you are in the area looking for a drink it's a pretty good place to go to.
Regarding the karaoke nights they put on, I definitely recommend the Rockaoke events. You get to sing with a live rock band and they make you feel like a rock star. While there are Rockaoke events in other venues too this is one of the most central ones so I prefer it.
I also tried Quint Fontana's Karaoke Rumble, a pop karaoke/comedy night where they have celebrity impersonators and a karaoke competition. The impersonations were pretty bad and if you are not a great singer the crowd will boo you off stage, which can be pretty disheartening. I would not recommend it at all if you want to do karaoke, but it can be tolerated if you are a bit drunk, want to take the piss out of everyone and don't care about being made to look like a fool.
Overall the Star of Kings is a nice pub, just pick the right night and enjoy!

My girlfriend and I visited this pub for dinner as we noticed its interior charm when passing by. There gentleman that served us was an extremely helpful South African man who recommended we tried the burger. We ordered their house burger and a Napoli pasta dish. Both were exceptional (for pub standards) and extremely reasonable for the area. A bottle of house white is priced at just ÂŁ15.50 and the whole meal came to just ÂŁ34. The pub boasts a quirky atmosphere several tables with big groups of people.
Recommended for those who wish to grab a quick, low cost meal in the area.
Great tacos and environment to take in the vibes of the neighborhood. Downstairs on some nights are G&B Comedy which is the reason I was there. G&B puts on great shows with newer acts coming onto the scene in London. Definitely worth a night out for a good meal, drinks, and to laugh.
We booked Behind the Bookcase for a 10th Anniversary party and I cannot recommend it enough. The team were attentive and facilitated several site visits so we could suss out decor in advance of our booking, and promptly answered my calls and questions in the run-up. As for the space itself, it's rare to find something like this in London, which has so much charm and yet remains a blank canvas for whatever touches you want to add (and stays open til 1am!). The night itself was everything we hoped for and more - tacos and burgers platters were delicious, bar staff were kind and efficient and everything went off without a hitch, so thanks to everyone at The Star of Kings for a brilliant night!

The Star of Kings is a trendy spot with a welcoming atmosphere, conveniently located near the Coal Drops Yard centre. With a Mexican-themed menu and hosting live events, it's a great place for a vibrant and enjoyable night out.
We booked the use of the Green room for a private event - it was a perfect space and our bartender was great! We also made sure to book the Karaoke room for a couple of hours - what a great night! The food, service and venue were awesome and we will definitely go back!
Nice pub with good atmosphere - interior seemed rustic but spacious and there was plenty of seating outside to enjoy. A lot of venues in the area are hyper modern and 'pristine' - so it was nice to visit somewhere with a bit more character.
Ordered some chips and fried chicken bites - hands down some of the most lovely chips I've had in a long time. Perfectly crisp on the outside and soft in the inside & well seasoned. Also not too thick in cut or too thin. Props to the chef for these & I look forward to getting more (hopefully this perfection wasn't a one-off). Fried chicken was fairly standard but good.
Popped in here for the first time on a Friday afternoon and really liked the place. Really attractive decor, two rooms, and a lovely enclosed seating area out front.
Beer is craft, rather than cask, but supporting primarily local breweries. Friendly staff too.
The karaoke in the evenings doesn’t appeal, but each to their own!

The service is in this pub is outstanding. We celebrated my birthday in the karaoke room and it was fabulous. The pub has a great range of beers (we were particularly impressed with the number of nonalcoholic options!) and good options in terms of food. Mostly though, the service was great, I’ll definitely be going back!
Had a great experience here with work colleagues. Food platters were pricy but they did the job and came out on time. Drinks also pricy but the atmosphere, music and space were great for the 40 of us. We booked the room 2 weeks ahead of time and communication was great. Bar staff were chatty when they needed to be and remained professional most of the time. Not too far from the station but close enough that it does not get too crowded.
Best venue ever!!! Hosted my birthday party here and we had the best day.
From all the email communications prior to the event, to the amazing staff on the day, the most delicious food and the fantastic venue itself- I couldn’t fault Star of Kings at all!!
Our party was downstairs, behind the bookcase which everyone loved!
We had multiple djs playing across the day and everyone that attended enjoyed themselves, and said that they’d return.
Thank you to all the team and if we ever host a party again, it’ll be here!
Decent pub. It has a nice atmosphere and plenty of space to sit outside if the weather is good. Drink prices are average and food is somewhat pricey. Beer selection could be a bit better.
Great Tuesday pub quiz! Good selection of drinks. Food with breddos tacos is a rip off tho - two tiny tacos at ÂŁ9 was taking the piss a bit. They do change the kitchen regularly however so hopefully the next one will be better!
Very much a dive bar type pub. Popped into this on Saturday night not having any idea of the vibe and it was definitely loud. Turns out it's got the chance for everyone and anyone to do karaoke which we were indifferent about but can't see it being for everyone. Need to be quite drunk here in my opinion. Smelt of stale pub but had decent selection and was fairly priced.
Cute place while I was visiting friends in London! Fantastic beers đź’ś
We organised an informal meet-up for MA Arts and Cultural Enterprise staff and students from Central Saint Martins - located just around the corner from the Star of Kings. We booked before hand which was very easy and when we arrived our tables were reserved as agreed. Staff were very friendly and it was a nice informal atmosphere.
Great service great food. Stumbled across this place a few streets back from the front, glad i did. Decent beer too.
Always a pleasure to visit The Star of Kings. It's a rarity around KX these days - tasty and reasonably priced, well kept l, delicious beer in a traditional pub setting. They also have lots of outside space! 5*Kings
Nice pub with a large function area at the back which we used for my friend's 30th birthday party. Never had to wait long at the bar to get served and food seemed to arrive pretty promptly whenever someone ordered.
