Lovely upmarket pub, customer service was excellent, very accomodating to our early reservation arrival. I ordered fish pie and it was delicious, good size portions. The group I dined with all had different flavoured pies, everyone said their pie was the best!!

A nice place to just chill for a bit. They have a few different NA Beers which is nice. The pizza and chips were fantastic. Great place for a bite to eat if you are staying at one of the surrounding hotels which don’t have many options.

2nd time to come to the Windmill and the service is amazing. The atmosphere is fantastic and is your typical English pub. Each time I come to London, I always end up coming here for their delicious pie. I highly, recommend their Steak and Kidney Pie. This time the pie was a bit overcooked and it wasn't melting in my mouth like last time but the food tasted amazing regardless. Fair warning to first-timers coming here. If you plan to eat here, make a reservation otherwise good luck getting a table. This pub is smack in the middle of Mayfair, it does get busy. So busy people are pouring out onto the street and drinking on the side and across the road. (This tells you how busy and how popular this pub is)

We visit the 'Windmill' every time we're in the city and love the authentic English restaurant with traditional cosy decor and - if I can judge as a German - the best pie and mash in London. But also the burger and the sheppards pie tasted absolutely delicious. The ambience is great and the service was very friendly! Even though the waiter was from Italy and the communication (Italians and Germans with appropriate language skills meeting in London) wasn't that easy, we made the best of it and laughed a lot. I will surely recommend and visit my absolute favourite spot for a tasty pub lunch again!

One of the best restaurants for authentic English food. Perhaps the best Shepherd's Pie that you can find in UK. The food, service and ambience was great. Friendly and warm staff. Loved each of the dishes we ordered. Enjoyed their Ale. Will surely recommend.

Highly recommend The Windmill!! Excellent place with great people! Jas waited on us and was incredibly kind and professional!! He patiently explained some of the menu options; we had the fish & chips and steak & mushroom pie. Thanks for London hospitality!!

A very lively British pub in the heart of Mayfair that specialises in Pies! I had the fish and chips which was a huge portion, fish is coated in a light crispy batter but I found it a bit oily. Super enjoyed the mashed peas and the thick cut fries was yummy. The burger and shepherds pie was also very delicious. However the soup, was too thick and hard to swallow, could not finish. Overall a decent place to hang out and chug down some pints! Fast, friendly and efficient service! Food : ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Value : ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ambiance : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service : ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited here last year for a wedding, the groom an Englishman recommended we visit place “ for its excellent English menu, great beer selection & wonderful staff. He wasn’t wrong. So this year we’ve come back to visit it again & we are not disappointed. It’s still fantastic!

Hands down the best pie & mash in London. FACT! I visit every time I’m in the city, it’s my absolute fave spot for a tasty pub lunch. Or a Sunday roast if that’s your thing. I can also vouch for those! Great beer selection too and a traditional cosy decor. Hard to beat, a must try!

Excellent steak and kidney pie. Check the Youtube videos of the Windmill's pie master and it will taste twice as good. Kind and helpful staff.

First night on a trip to London and we went there based upon some great reviews. It did not disappoint. The scotch eggs, sausage roll and pies were delicious and a great introduction to British food. Less of a pub and more of a restaurant but good drinks and great atmosphere.

I rarely write reviews for pubs. The service, ambience, and the food was great! Ana our server was incredible and provided amazing customer service. She was attentive and provided recommendations from the menu. I will be coming back to this pub again! Thank you for a wonderful experience on a Sunday evening.

Nice place and efficient staff. Food was fine. Scottish eggs could have improved with some extra mustard, but liked it nonetheless. Venison pie was great.

I had booked a table for 17:00, but we were left waiting for 20 minutes. The first person told us she would check, so it would just be a moment. She never returned, so I had to ask a second person, and they came back and got us to a table. It seemed like they had forgotten our reservation. It was a lovely pub, the food and beer were great! They also have a lovely garden terrace. A shame about the delay, and our waitress seemed annoyed every time we asked for anything. Service was not good that evening, but the food and atmosphere was great.

We were vacationing in London and chose to eat here for a high quality pub pie experience. They specialize in pies and definitely lived up to the hype. Their pies were incredible. Steak and mushroom and chicken, bacon, leek were both very popular with us and our ten year old son. Great mashed potatoes and gravy as well. The fish and chips were also excellent. Beer options are surprisingly limited. Service was just OK. Not bad but not flawless. I would highly recommend here for an excellent traditional British pie.
