Visited on a Saturday in early December, around midday. It’s a nice, simple cafe. We had some of the set breakfasts, which offer pretty decent value for money. The kids meal was also enjoyed. Friendly and fairly attentive service. Plenty of people eating here during our visit, ranging from young 20-somethings to young families to builders to pensioners; nice to see such an eclectic mix. Overall we had a nice meal here and would happily return.

This place serves up a proper full English, but the bonus is that it comes with a coffee, and that coffee is awesome. None of your small cup of freeze dried coffee you might expect from a greasy spoon, you instead get a large cup of gorgeous fresh coffee worthy of a coffee shop, and on that count you effectively get your breakfast thrown in for a couple of pounds. Winner! 👍

Very friendly and super fast service. The food is very nice, the portions are very satisfactory, the place is clean and the tables are not sticky like everywhere else! Recommend!

Used to use Bungalows cafe regularly. Always well satisfied with the food and the service, don't get down Mare Street often now, but will have to remind myself to get back in there next time I'm in that part of Hackney. A treat for the tastebuds.

I started to use this cafe when my usual cafe proprietorships retirement after 35 years. Bungalows owner is a pleasant friendly face . And the breakfasts available all day are cooked to order and varied . There are vegetarian options and some vegan as well. There is some seating outside too. Try it for a nice fry up on a Sunday great after a Saturday night out

Accessibility: Step-free access, open floor plan, warm welcome and they've got more than one alternative to cow milk.

One of the best cafes in London. I have supported people here for meals probably a hundred times over the past 8 years and eaten here myself. Staff are friendly and always accomodating and the food is excellent. Clean and delicious food. My favouries are the vegetarian lasagna, the falaffel as well as the vegetarian breakfasts. Great value for money. Salad and chips add to a massive very budget friendly meal. Thank you to all the staff.

Nice little cafe, only had a Nescafe mile coffee which was £1.80 loved it. Food menu looks very nice too, maybe I will eat there next time.

Great! Cheap simple food. Wide range of things to eat and not hard to be healthy! I had grilled chicken and rice with a salad with a Cherry Coke. Nice people, good service and somewhere to sit inside and out. Although the outside seating is onto Mare Street which is'nt the most pleasant. But the park is just round the corner so grab something and sit there!
