Great food, different from what we normally have. Went three or four times on the weekend. The interior really quite quirky. Loved sitting up on the high seats looking down on the staff and customers below. Staff pleasant and helpful. Really enjoyed it.

Great place, lots of choice and easy to stop in and grab something quickly or take a seat and while away a bit of time over coffee and cake!

My vegan wrap was amazing.......the food always looks nice....... but just need to get the staff to interact with customers a bit more as it’s not always clear where you should order your food and they don’t seem to want to ask!

A great salad and a nice departure from the likes of Leon and Pret a manger. Loads of options (cauliflower & broccoli in addition to the usual quinoa & chickpeas), all fresh, all quite nicely done. Very competently priced too for this part of town.

I’m doing jury service at Southwark at the mo, and am enjoying exploring the eating places around London Bridge. Thankfully, it shouldn’t be for too much longer though, or Borough Market’s fine food could bankrupt me. A popular deli alongside Hays Galeria, Absolutely Starving pulls the punters in with its amusing name, and – I suspect – keeps them returning by serving quality food with a rotating hot food menu. Fresh sandwiches are made to order on a range of breads, and you’ll find Italian pastas and produce, groceries and delicacies for sale, along with a selection of wines and beers. You can order deliveries and even hampers and gifts.

Even the busiest of Londoners will want to find time to sit down and enjoy a coffee here. Moreover, there's an excellent deli counter that prepares fresh sandwiches and salads and a great display of sweet treats in the window.

Here's a great treat of a place if you live or work anywhere near London Bridge or Tower Hill. One of my favourite lunching spots during the working week is a fantastic little shop called Absolutely Starving. I first found it when my university flatmate used to work there during the summer and purposely told us never to come in as he didn't want to be caught wearing the bright orange uniform and hat. Obviously if someone tells you this your going to do it and so we did. However when we arrived we weren't even fussed with him once we saw the amazing array of food on offer here!

Absolutely Starving is like an Aladdin's Cave of food, with lots of different options to enjoy for your break from the daily grind. Located just up from London Bridge tube station and a short walk from Tower Bridge this is in a perfect location for a lunch time jaunt. With my office just across the bridge, it is all too tempting to come and feast upon the delicious goods that await inside instead of frustratingly tucking into another homemade salad!

My favourtie thing about Absolutely Starving is the amazing hot roast baguettes they produce. The choices are literally mouth watering and I always end up holding up the queue to decide. With options of Chorizo Sausage, Pequillo Pepper & Rocket; Salt Beef, Gherkin & Mustard; Belly of Pork & Apple; or Roast Chicken with Sausage & Sage Stuffing, you can see why it's such an important decision. It is prepared in front of you too and to your requirements!

If you are not feeling the hot roast baguettes then they do a fine selection of hot soups, toasted wraps and even thai curry, noodles, risotto and pasta! There's something for everyone and what's more, even though they are placed slap bang in the middle of a busy corporate environment, the lunchtime rush is handled extremely efficiently. There is also a delicious array of baked goodies too, to entice even the most disciplined of sweet tooth's. I always fall for the Chocolate Brownie with White Chocolate Chunks. It's perfectly gooey and soft just how brownies should be and more importantly, not a single trace of nuts!

You can even pick up a few extras for home whilst your there as their shelves are stacked with preserves, special blend coffee, cooking ingredients and more.

I went for my favourite, the Salt Beef and Mustard on a delicious multi seed baguette. I hurried back to the office quickly and then proceeded to gorge on the most delicious salt beef that simply melts in the mouth. I am a huge fan of this fine meat and it doesn't taste any better than when accompanied with some rocket and a healthy helping of mustard, wrapped up in a warm soft baguette.

If you're reading this and feeling peckish in the London Bridge area what are you doing? Get down to Absolutely Starving already!! You know you won't be satisfied with that healthy soup or salad you brought from home, pretending to be good! Absolutely Starving won't let you down and feel free to send a brownie my way too as a small thank you for replacing that working day frown with a big foodie grin!

Enjoy!

Came here for breakfast after looking for somewhere to kill an hour between doctors appointments. So glad we did. The food was good and staff were attentive. I am a wheelchair user and one member of staff followed me holding my plate whilst I decided what to have. I had sausage and Mac N Cheese. It was delicious.

Just outside the London Bridge station, I stumbled upon this nice little place when looking for a place to eat breakfast. Here you find a wide variety of meals and lighter snacks, plus a nice ambience and service minded people. This was my first meal in London on this trip and a perfect touch of British urban life. Thanks and shoutout to Maria who served me!

A rather lovely place close to the busy London Bridge. Lots of different cake and sweet options, reasonably priced. They have a big selection of Italian and British biscuits as well! It's rather busy in the morning and at lunch time, so you might want to slot it more than 15 minutes to come here. The staff is very gentle and warm, some more tha others. I decided to give 4 starts because one of the male members of the staff was having a loud argument with some other member. The place is open on Sunday as well, something rare to see so close to the city. A good spot to have a coffee and a slice of cake with a friend!

I'm not a big coffee fan, but the hot chocolate was lovely. Limited seating, but the little nook we found ourselves in was next to a book shelf which I enjoyed perusing. Good selection of cakes and lunch came in a handy box/wrapper meaning if you're in a rush you don't feel like you can't take it with you. Had an Egyptian Wrap which was delicious, if a little messy.

Pecan pie that tasted just like Mamma used to make. I haven’t had a slice of Pecan pie since I left the states in 2009 and boy I was not disappointed! It tasted just like home and I really needed that today of all days! The staff made the main course enjoyable with their helpful and friendly attitude. They took the time to show all the dishes at the all the different stations. I only wish I had taken pictures. My son absolutely loved the experience and the food too and has asked to return. Which is high praise. We left with a couple of goodies in hand compliments of the chef - we felt really welcomed. If you’re looking for what I would describe as fast and fresh chef prepared deli cuisine, I highly recommend. Will have to try their coffee next time - I was just too stuffed for another thing.

Popped in for breakfast, sausage and bacon baguette made by Nadir was lovely, and good quality sausage - bread was freshly baked and crispy. Anne-Marie was very cheerful and the staff attentive. Nice vibe, good seating. Cakes looked lovely, but didn’t have any. Would come back for lunch!
