Great pub, staff truly kind and nice. All pizzas are 7£ on Mondays. Really recommended it.
📍Red Lion 🌍 Stoke Newington 🏛 Attractive building outside, lovely brick and stone job. Make sure you cross to the opposite side of the road to admire it. Plainer on the inside. 🍺 Good range, all in the craft theme. There are 11 taps on the bar, I could have tried all of them. ℹ️ Good place to watch
Had our wedding party upstairs at the Red Lion and cannot recommend it enough - great drinks, great pizzas and, most importantly, staff incredibly attentive, accommodating and friendly. We had loads of non-English speakers but that was not a problem for them; everyone left happy! Truly the best vibe
This is a nice pub nestled in the heart of Stoke Newington. Great beer selection, tiny rebel, beavertown, plenty of others I haven’t heard of a great offering of Pale Ales, Craft Beers and lagers, even a good selection of ciders. Probably wasn’t the best time to check for atmosphere as it’s 3pm on
Ok, so I mixed up my original review with another favourite pub. But this one is still a five star place. Great keg beer selection, a great garden / yard at the back, nicely sheltered, and some of the best pub pizza around, including veggie and vegan. My wife reckons the gluten free pizza is the be
They do gluten free pizzas and gluten free pints on tap! Friendly staff, lovely space, busy enough on a Saturday night but not too busy. They did have a big screen showing the football which is a pro or a con depending on who you are!
Just a standard pub really. Lot of children running around shouting which seems to be tolerated. Probably better to go later in the evening. Had to ask them to top up the drinks as a pint seems to be something to aspire to. Good beer though. Nice outside area.
I booked the upstairs function room for a birthday and it was fantastic. The service was great, especially having the upstairs bar for yourself, staff were friendly and helpful, the pizzas were delicious and the space is really good for a group booking!
Lovely pub to watch the footy outdoors. Didn't eat, but the pizzas looked very good and there was a wide range of pizza options on the menu. Dog friendly pub, offering bowls of water out too. Only critique is that there isn't loads of cover, so if you're not great in direct sunlight, might be wise
Great Pub! We had special requirements and the manager Tom was very accommodating, welcoming and kind! Definitely recommend this pub x Will be back very soon :)
Great selection of beers and great atmosphere during game days, bar staff are great too
Great pub with lovely drink options. One downfall is the toilet situation - it's cubicles only and gets rammed when pub is busy.
It's the perfect Friday night location. It's buzzing, they've got amazing beer (Dennis Hopp'r and others). The building is one of the more distinguished and beautiful in London. Space isn't an issue as the pub is got two floors and a beer garden. TL;DR - one of the best watering holes in London. I
Pizza was incredible. Chef was super accommodating and lovely. Would recommend!
Should you wish to be catching the sport, any sport; the pub has 2 huge screens downstairs and up stairs. There is plenty of space to view either screen. The beer and pizza is also worth the visit. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays here is 2 4 1 on pizzas before 19:45.
Beautiful pub in a historical building. We had my daughter's 5 year old birthday in their upstairs room and they couldn't have been more welcoming or helpful! The room is a great size for lots of little kids running around and there is a nice space for parents to have a drink.
