What's going on?? Why only 3 stars. . this place is SUBLIME!!
Bengal is ACE and EASILY THE BEST CURRY HOUSE IN CROUCH END!
This site is IMPOSSIBLE to log on to (had to resort to facebook), seems obstructive to inviting UNBIASED reviews.
I can't keep away from Bengal Restaurant for either eat in, take out or delivery.
I would particularly recommend eating-in; they sometimes offer a discount and the welcome, service, cleanliness and FOOD are all top-notch. And for diners-in they have excellent draught lager! Mango Lassis are also THE BEST (as reported by my very particular missus).
They have an extensive menu which includes the standard korma/madras/vindaloo options but MUCH more. And any special requests are actually listened to and acted upon.
Frankly, having enjoyed THOUSANDS of curries in the area over the years, I just cant see myself ordering from any of the competition whilst Bengal continues to do what it does.
If my missus wasn't so homeloving, I'd eat-in much more often but we mostly rely on deliveries. Sometimes they throw in free poppadums or BEER but that's not why we go back. It's the FOOD. It's groanworthingly good.
One tip . . . they lean towards the MILD side for many dishes, so if you do like it spicy, say so!
EDIT: Actually, after writing that, the Jalfrezi I'd ordered arrived and was strewn with nearly-whole chillis which I picked out (not that brave). Conversely, the prawn Vindaloo I ordered on Halloween was nice & warm but perfecly manageable (with some cold lager).
If I had any criticism it would be that the mint sauce ain't that minty. no biggie.
BTW, veggies are WELL catered for and they somehow manage to do tandoori vegetables which are v.tasty and a good portion. Veg Rogan also highly recommended.

An absolute gem of a place. It is such a friendly and relaxing atmosphere, with incredibly friendly staff who make us feel welcome on every visit. The food is absolutely scrumptious, good sized portions and a huge selection on the menu. If you like curry, I would 100% recommend!
Food in this place is nothing short of amazing. First time eating in, as we're normally have a home delivery which is always delivered hot, and in very good time too. Tonight tho they seemed to be having a little trouble with all the deliveries as they have loads more now due to people not eating out.
Staff here are amazing. The front door is a bit of a pain as it bangs shut every time a delivery guy walks through it. Will definitely be going here again.

Highly inviting, delicious food, could customise my meal with no problems and very affordable.

The food were amazing and the staffs also very friendly. We went here for the first time a few weeks ago on late Wednesday evening. We had the chef special dishes and it was super delish! I personally really liked the mince meat rice (I forgot the name) and the naan bread with coconut stuffing, and all the main dishes we have ordered, which again I don't remember the name. 😅 Well, one thing for sure the chef special I ordered last time was a lamb dish and the one I had today was the king prawn.
So, today we went back to the restaurant at around 22:45 to have their 4 course for £10 deals, but unfortunately they have closed for eat it. However, the staff was very friendly that letting us having these dishes to go just for a small additional amount for the food containers. When the food was ready, another good surprise that they gave us an extra naan bread! Thank you! 😍 Moreover, our take-away food was apparently also coming with a salad with yummy dressing. My tummy was fully satisfied!

Super tasty. They have nice selection of choices that will satisfy Indian food lovers. Portions ang prices are great. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Every good I tried had burst of flavour, even the bread. Highly recommended.
We went first time last Saturday and it was that nice, we went again this Saturday. My fella who's not a great lover of dining out thinks we should go every Saturday-that's how nice it is. Cannot fault the service, the food or the price - EXCELLENT
The service was excellent. The food was tasty but too oily. The air-conditioning was on but not very effective.

The staff were happy to give guidance on what food would suit us both, even varying the spice in the vegetarian Rogan Josh for me and recommending a garam nagari for my partner. We went on a Saturday night, and while the restaurant was very quiet there was a steady stream of takeaway orders showing their good reputation for food. I'd forgotten how much cheaper than ordering a takeaway via one of the big websites!
The naan was a highlight coming crispy out of the oven. The muttar paneer was exactly what I wanted, and the starters were nicely presented with what appeared to be a raspberry glaze and a small salad. There were many vegetarian options that looked interesting.
I have tried my fair amount of Indian Restaurants in London, but I have got to say, this is by far superior to all the other ones I have tried.
The food is excellent and there is a great variety on the menu (perfect to suit all diets). The pricing is so fair, but the highlight of this restaurant is the service. The warm and friendly service adds the special touch.
We have eaten both at the restaurant and as a take away via direct delivery at home. Both experiences have been ten out of ten.
Highly recommend the Darjeeling Dome!
Absolutely delightful. So delicious, best curry place around if you ask me. The naga curry was spectacular. Portions are generous and full of meat. The butter chicken was also very tasty. Not got a bad thing to say! Would love to go in person soon.
Will be ordering regularly from them.

Ate here for the first time tonight and the whole experience has been incredible! Prices and portions are great. Some dishes are named after family members which is such a nice touch and honestly, everything was so tasty and flavourful. Can't fault customer service either, Amin was 10/10. Not a bad word to say! Looking forward to eating there again 👏🏼

This is a fabulous family run little restaurant. The food is great and reasonably priced and you will recognise many old favourites. Everything is made hot and fresh and the service is excellent. Plus, if you're tired and you can't afford the Uber ride home, the bus stop is just outside!
Fast delivery and incredible food. Everything was so tasty and flavourful, and the portions were large. Can't wait to order again!
Visited today. parking is easy to find a short walk to the restaurant.
No need for a booking just turned up and was able to get a seat.
Foodwise ordered their mix starter which came quickly and tasted great.
Mains had 2 curries both cooked recently and had rice and naan. All great.
Service wise all good. Very attentive and fast and polite. Finally 2 mains with and starter and soft drinks rice & naans under 30£ which is very good value for money.
It wasn't too busy when we went so overall great and I'll stop by again.
