Brilliant. Baffled by any negative reviews. My friends and I loved this place. My advice, don't go for the set menu. We had one spicy broth, seven portions of extras, two sauces and drinks all for £10 each! It was delicious and we all left very satisfied. Try the Mongolian noodles.

Great food and service, the prices per person have gone up to £23 p.p. but it's still a great value. We ordered 2 meals for 3 people and it was enough to feed us all.

For the £20 set meal you get 5 dishes each (min 2 persons) and it proves to be excellent value for money. loved the beef balls and the meats. Seafood is quite fresh as well.

Authentic and fun. My son and I are trekking in Mongolia this month so we thought it would be a good idea to sample some of the fare...Little Lamb is a tiny restaurant on Shaftsebury Avenue. 6 tables, from memory, all with a hot plate on to keep your pot bubbling. You choose between spicy or herbed stocks, or both in a twin pot. They're deeply flavoured with chilli, cinammon, and various unidentifiables. It's kept topped up during the course of the meal. You then choose various meat, fish, vegetable and noodles dishes to dip in, like a fondue, along with a range of dipping sauces.

From the meat we had thinly sliced raw beef (we could have had tripe, ham or a couple of other dishes). From the fish we had crab claws and legs and fish balls. The prawns, mussels and squid at another table looked nice too. We - over ordering as usual - also had tofu, pak choi and Mongolian bean noodles, which are huge flat ones, over an inch across, and a complete b*gger to try to pick up from a steaming vat with chopsticks!

We had the leek flower sauce (yum) and the house special (which was a peanut based dish).

Yes, it wasn't the finest fare in the world, but it seems infinitely more authentic than that Mongolian place in Covent Garden, service was charming, we were the only non-Asian people there, it was very good value (£30 between us including drinks and we could have got away with less). Most importantly though, great fun, and a very entertaining way of practising chopstick technique!

With the long winter spells last year, all I wanted to do was huddle up next to the fireplace at home. My friends and I decided to head over to Little Lamb for some hot pot. Hot pot is perfect to gather a bunch of mates for cooking your own food in a steam pot and conversations. Little lamb has been around for years, I remember passing by in my teens looking through the cloud of steamed windows.

The £20 per person set menu is a bargain, choose a soup stock and 5 items each, from long varied lists, vegetables, to thinly sliced meats, noodles and many more. We carefully chosen the herbal tonic as our soup base, after an incident of buying schezuan for a family hot pot I vouched never to touch the stuff ever again. It ended up with my family members running to the kitchen to rinse their tongue from the lethal spice.

For £20 a head, you get the broth and a choice of five ingredients per person. It is an astonishing amount of food, I think next time we might just choose individual items.

Fun, challenging and social. And at around £25 a head with sides of meat skewers and a few rounds of Tsing Tao, it's definitely a keeper.

I stink of meat. Two hours in a Chinese hotpot restaurant - like sitting in a porky sauna. And I would do it again in a heartbeat. I'd first heard about Little Lamb from Alex Carnegie who'd actually been on a quest for shabu shabu but settled for a close

I'm getting a little bored with writing so I'm going to keep it brief and rely on pictures to describe dinner at Little Lamb on Shaftesbury Avenue. Little Lamb is a specialist hot pot restaurant but if you're looking for the Lancashire variety then you'll

I happened to try this place recently and it was quite an experience. The food here is excellent with it's wonderful and fresh flavour. The drinks are really good as well. The service is quick and efficient and the staff is quite warm and friendly. They have a range of options on the menu to choose from. All in all a pretty decent experience and would love to go back there again.

I love coming to this place. Its unique service and amazing meat has never disappointed me. They serve hot pot, which is a bowl of broth to be shared by your party, in which the different dishes are dipped. There are many different dishes available, but I prefer to have meat. I also recommend the oyster mushrooms and foushou. In addition, one must try the house special and the satay sauce, as the compliment the food amazingly well. This is one of the best restaurants to dine with friends, and it comes highly recommended from my side.

The food was absolutely delicious and the prices were in a reasonable range when compared with the large portions that were served. I had lamb and beef and the quality of both the dishes was top notch. The sauces that I had complimented the meal pretty well. I would be definitely going back.

I visited this place when I was on vacation to visit a friend in London. Being on my bucket list forever now, I was very glad I paid a visit to this restaurant.
We literally splurged into all the dishes that were served to us. One experiences pure indulgence as they bite into the authentic tasting beef which is served with their signature trio sauces.

This place is located at a convenient location and can be found easily.
This place is not however, recommended for those who get budget conscious.
Other than that, great food!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The restaurant has the "Hotpot" concept in which a hot soup is added to raw food and it is then savored. I've had one of the best hotpots at this restaurant. The food here is absolutely delectable and very delightful. It is also very well priced. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is so unique in food and authenticity that it is almost unique in this part of the world.
The staff will not stop bringing all the dishes at your table at once.
So if you want the dishes to come at different intervals, please mention. The food is delicious. The portions are gigantic.
As expected, the prices are unbelievably low.

This restaurant offers really good value for money. They have a large number of dishes for very less amount, and they taste excellent. I especially liked the beef balls and meats. We also ordered the seafood, which is fresh and tastes very nice. In short, it is a place you should definitely try if you are looking for good value for money.

Though always hesitant and repulsive to the idea of paying to cook your own food at a restaurant, my parents agreed to try this place where you are given a checklist of ingredients and condiments and basically they cook it exactly as per your judgement and choices! It is all for the fun of this place to try it once if nothing else!

I liked my experience here the last time I visited. I had the bun and lamb for my meal. The bun was perfect- just the way it is supposed to be. It was soft inside, and had a nice crispy crust to it. The bun had some amazing flavours that were a result of the spices that were present. I also liked the lamb. It was tender, there was no skimping on the meatiness and the flavours were spicy and balanced.

ittle lamb serves up Mongolian style hotpot and barbecue

Mongolian hotpot lies in the quality of the ingredients and the stock it used to cook them

For me, I highly recommend the mushroom and the spicy stock

The mushroom stock is fragrant and sweet, full of aroma from the herbs that was used.. Light yer flavoursome

The super hot one uses chilli oil, schezuan peppers and chilli… Just look at the amount of it floating on top!

If you bite into one you’ll get a kick in the face full of heat and will leave your tongue numb…

For the meats, we ordered lamb, beef and pork

Thinly sliced cooked in seconds and the layering of fat really makes it even more savoury

For veg, get the knotted tofu, tofu sheets, enoki mushrooms

Also get the flat noodles.. Chewy yet goes really well with the other ingredients

Also get their meat-packed meat balls.. Really good.. Some place adds lots of flour to it but here you can tell theres plenty of meat inside

Ordering bbq skewers such as lamb and steamed bun goes perfectly well with the hotpot.. The bun is soft inside and has a nice crust to it and the spices adds that nice kick of flavour.. The lamb is also flavoursome, tender, juicy and spicy!

If you have not tried Mongolian hotpot before, you have to come here.. Cause I’ll think you will really love it!

P.s they give you 3 different sauces, puts the nutty one into your meats and its fabulous! Highly recommended!

They claim to be a Mongolian and Chinese restaurant. I have encountered a Mongolian man on my travels, but the only thing I picked up was the love of eating meat raw.

The £20 per person set menu is a bargain, choose a soup stock and 5 items each, from long varied lists, vegetables, to thinly sliced meats, noodles and many more.

We carefully chose the herbal tonic as our soup base, after an incident of buying schezuan for a family hot pot I vouched never to touch the stuff ever again. It ended up with my family members running to the kitchen to rinse their tongue from the lethal spice. The portions are enormous with 20 dishes between the four of us; we failed to even finish half the dishes. Dipping our chopsticks in the shared pot, we eagerly waited for the food to cook.

The herbal tonic base was rather nice, and I just LOVED the homemade Plum Tea. I wished I was wise and ordered the jug. Overall, I think £24/25 per person was certainly worth the price, a great variety of ingredients and it’s all good messy fun and interactive for dining out session.

I had been to hotpot in Beijing in 2012 or 20111 and then I went to the this franchise branch in 2019 in Dubai and I ate 3 times whilst I was in Dubai and it was too yummy! What is this place? It’s where you get raw vegetables and there are different kinds of meat you can get. I’ll recommend getting the double birth one with mushroom and one with chilli broth and the lamb slices are too good! It’s a must try!!! The place can be a lot cleaner in my opinion hence the 4 stars otherwise for food it’s 5 stars. It’s £24.99 per person and you can order the veggies as much as you like make sure you look out on the menu for extra they will charge you like for the prawn balls.

We order two sauces, and the price for two people is £32.7 per person(Friday night) reasonable price for a buffet in Chinatown. The malatang soup is excellent! Not too spicy.

Went for the hot pot experience as a family and really enjoyed it. Our teenager daughter wanted to do hot pot (I'd never heard of it) after watching tik tok. This place was small with 3 other tables taken and we needed guidance on how to order. Basically ask the waiter, and choose options that are included to keep price down. The induction hob in middle of table heats the 2 broths (one is super spicy) and you basically boil the raw ingredients you're given. Prawns, squid, noodles, mushrooms, etc. Really good fun and gets a little messy. It is £27.99 per person, minimum 2. With drinks and tip, worked out at £180 for 4 so don't expect this to be normal Chinese restaurant prices. Good fun though

Friends took us out to this restaurant in London China town. Was bit apprehensive by the looks. As it resembles many restaurants in China town. It was a totally new concept to me. Fortunately my friends were regular so new how and what to order. The broth is ordered first and then the sides that go into the boiling broth. My 4 year old was quite surprised and excited. Liked the noodles in broth. Must try are the wild mushroom thing. The food and experience was awesome..

Nice little buffet hotpot restaurant near China Town. Fresh ingredients, nice soup base but the herbal soup base was a little salty. Customer service is ok. Before you visit make sure you have cash on you because they only accept cash. Price wise it’s very reasonable. Also, avoid wearing white clothes when you visit as it can get messy and you don’t want stains on your new clothes.

One of the best hotpot places I have tried in London. The staff is very attentive, service is quick and the food tastes amazingly! I love the fact that they offer set "all you can eat" deals, which allow you try almost all the different kinds of meats and veg in the menu, very good for newcomers. The only downside was the waiting time, almost 1h30min to get a table for two on a Saturday evening, but it was worth it.

After having previously eaten at Hai di lao in Shanghai, I was curious to try a hotpot restaurant on a much smaller scale. We booked ahead and were given a nice private booth downstairs. The service was very good with attentive staff. The food selection is not quite as big as other places but still quite broad. We had the all you can eat option for £25 which I guess most people go for. For the quality of the ingredients, which was high, the price seems worth it. In particular the lamb and various types of mushrooms were very good. Certainly recommended for a group of friends

Food is good, tried Hot Pot. There is condensation everywhere, could do with more ventilation, your glasses will steam up between the door and sitting down at the table. Prices are steep.

Really great hotpot experience. The staff were very attentive and friendly (especially compared to what you usually get in Chinatown)! The hotpot is good value for money, I especially enjoyed the fresh vegetables on offer and their special sauces! We ordered the numbing spice soup base which was good but really really spicy! The interior was lovely and very clean.

All you can eat £27.99 pp (excluding service charges; excluding certain items on the menu). Not the freshest seafood but acceptable for the price. Good service too! Not too crowded so it’s rather enjoyable especially in the busy Chinatown.
