A pub you'd expect to see in the east end - instead situated in the city. Darts, sofa, ale, what more do you want. Great outside space too, highly abnormal for the city. Shame I've had a fair handful of off beer here -- although staff are always happy to replace.
Tiny pub in the heart of Aldgate, a good place with lots of seatings outside and a calm and quiet seating inside.
This old pub isn't generally crowded and doesn't have loud music, a must if you want to talk with your friends without shouting.
Not a bad little boozer. Quite an attractive frontage although a bit more plain on the inside. Feels like a bit of a locals pub - it was fine on the night we went there, but something about it gave me the impression it might occasionally get a bit rowdy.
Great place for fans or those up to become one! TV's showing sports, enough place for both peaceful drinking and loud cheering. There are also tables and TV's outside And then comes the price - the place is cheap for London!!!
Great traditional British pub- great place to enjoy lunch and have a pint in the sunshine! They even have a TV outside so you can enjoy watching the spots inside or out :)
"This tiny pub on the corner of two alleys is believed to be unique in the City of London as the sole example of what is sometimes described as a ‘slum pub’ – in other words, a licensed premises converted from a private house. The block once contained eight butcher’s shops in what was once known as
A little gem tucked away from the main roads, it has a landlord that know his real ale and will gladly talk beer to drinkers, great for sports fans with very good prices for beer and food, but it is the quality and choice of the beer that swings it for me.
Only use this place for drink and it's fine. Very popular in the summer to drink outside. Has a dart board.
Great little place. Can get very crowded, but is only small. Great gaffer. Good food.
Not a bad little pub. Couple of dart boards good company and good staff. Proper pub.
Open location, great for parties of 8+ - it can get busy! So buy more than one round !
Small pub with decent outside seating In
the heart of the city
Good choice and stunning value. A pub that was around when Jack the Ripper stalked London.
A true old fashioned pub, fantastic place
Great little find. Basic but genuine old watering hole.
It's been around a long time but to me it's still a star pub
