Authentic British greasy spoon. A rare and dying breed. Established since the 70's. East London's finest and celebrities from far and away come for what was once voted the best cafe in Britain.

A great traditional British breakfast in the heart of the East end of London.

If you like fry ups you will love Mr G's. If not, I'll give you the money myself! It was once voted the 2nd best cafe in the UK (which they are justly proud of). This is what I call proper food and they're not stingy with the servings, quite the opposite in fact! It also retains the old school East End feel not just because the owners are proper Eastenders themselves or because of the various clippings of old newspapers documenting the Blitz and other events in WWII, but also because of the clientele including the workmen who frequent it. In fact, I might just pop over there now!

Great Cafe, not changed much in the 30 years since I last used it. Still the same lovely guys running it. Give this a try if you want to go to a proper Cafe, with no nonsense, good food and great value.

I love the vibe here. The food is solid amazingly quick to come out. Both times I came here for my trip, there was also just awesome conversations going on. It's also really cheap and great value for your money! London is so expensive and it's refreshing to have a great spot for a fair price.

Brought my Brazilian girlfriend here to show her a proper English greasy spoon. She loved it. Proper food, proper portions and proper prices. Stop by if you're in the area!

A great place delicious breakfast that I'd be happy to pay twice the price for but their prices are the best value for money in or near London. Staff is super friendly and the place is very cozy and you get a comfortable nostalgic feeling

Absolute classic cafe, lovely breakfast. Great newspaper headline archive. Could have done with some Arsenal posters in there too.

Don't be put off by darkish gloomy interior or sad paint colour, afterall it's the grub that counts. Had a allday breakfast there and really enjoyed it. Breakfast seemed to get better as I ate it. Lost half a star cos bacon was a little burnt but genuinly saddened when it was all gone. Suprised cafe was nearly empty. Would recommend

Hardworking and friendly staff. The food is exactly how traditional English cafe food should be. The front pages of newspapers from WW2 on the walls make interesting reading while you’re tucking into your grub. Oh, and they make a proper cuppa. Nice and strong. Stick to Starbucks if you’re bothered about rubbing shoulders with the unpretentious side of London.
