While Dunya's has morphed into Dom's Place to better suit the changing Clapton demographic, it's great that ownership has stayed within the same family, passing from grandfather to grandson. Great falafel wraps, good coffee and vegan-friendly options.

Had a few excellent meals here while we were visiting Hackney/Clapton last year; awesome food plus a great staff. Wish their delivery radius could be extended to Florida, but I appreciate the logistical hurdles that would present. Looking forward to another lamb wrap as soon as I can get back!

Amazing service, the notion to alter their demographic and create a unique innovation reflects the current position Hackney is currently in. Wonderful experience.

This review and pictures aren't going to do much justice because I'm on a diet so had to go for a no carb option this time (snore zzz) but as a regular whose pretty much tried everything on the menu I can safely say it's all amazing. Being Turkish, Turkish food can be quite boring and I rarely enjoy eating it out. There's a lot of the same dreary kebab shops all over north and east london but in concept alone doms is different. A clean and simple menu, that isn't overwhelming, friendly staff and extensive drinks list makes it a comforting regular staple. The sweet potato fries are insane, and having to resist temptation today was more than heartbreaking. The wraps in thick bread (tirnakli) are a must, I personally would go for lamb shish. Adana is not something I normally like but here it's not like anywhere else. A good chilli sauce makes all the difference and theirs tick all the boxes. If your feeling extra slutty the lamb ribs are, like everything in life, so bad but so good. Don't forget the starters dipped in soft, warm bread washed down of course with a cold cheeky beer.

Since moving to Clapton three years ago, I’ve seen a lot of changes – mostly for the better and particularly along the retail strip of Lower Clapton Road. One of the tastiest has been the opening of Dom’s Place, a casual little low key eatery with a pared down menu featuring “traditional Turkish food with a modern twist.”

By “modern twist,” I reckon Dom and co mean it’s an assembly line kind of ordering experience which in many ways is more similar to a burrito bar than a typical London kebab shop. Here customers choose from one of a broad selection of main fillings, a choice of salad and whether you want it all wrapped up in a thick or thin flat bread. Most wraps cost around £7. All are huge and, if you like, are served with ace chilli sauce and garlic sauce. Everything’s made fresh with a number of ingredients sourced locally. I’m torn between the lamb and chicken as to which wrap I think is yummiest … but I’ve hardly had a chance to sample everything available. Despite the prominence of the grill, there’s a good range of veggie options. Indeed, one of my faves from the menu is a fairly substantial side order of sweet potato fries (£4). They serve Climpson & Sons coffee here too as well as a decent selection of beers (locally brewed, celebrated international craft or budget friendly Efes for £2.90) and wine and even a “skull cracking” raki cocktail.

“Modern” might also refer to the fact that the place certainly doesn’t look or feel like most kebabs shops either. With its minimalistic ‘rustic industrial’ décor accentuated with with some street art murals and little else, there’s a bit of a hipster vibe about this humble takeaway with a relaxed dining area.. It’s not off putting though or anywhere near as egregious as some of the other newbie “East Dalston” shops nearby. Music wise you’re as apt to hear something along the lines of Fleet Foxes piped through the space as anything (unless there’s a live event).

Beyond the menu and the digs, the things I like most about Dom’s include its super close proximity to my flat (if you’re shuffling around Clapton Pond, it’s right there) and the late night hours (noon to midnight Monday to Thursday and on Sunday; noon to 3am on Friday and Saturday). Folks working there are friendly and it’s a chilled out place for relaxed dining. They’ve got toothpicks at the till too.

A delicious and substantial meal. Lovely service and nice atmosphere (although mostly empty on a Tuesday evening). I really recommend! Underrated for sitting in, I think it’s mostly

I ordered via Uber Eats and got the vegan kebab. I had to triple-check that this was vegan because the taste was indistinguishable from real meat. the quality of all the ingredients was second to none and was absolutely my most tastiest experience of a kebab. When I'm next in London I simply HAVE to go in person to have it super fresh. Thank you!!!

Went to Dom’s place with a small group of young professionals on a quiet Tuesday night. Plenty of option on the menu, but a very appealing deal of £10.50 for a lamb burger and chips caught our eye. The burger was not a boring patty, instead it was filled with fresh meat straight from the grill. The chips looked great online and did not disappoint; what really stood out for me was the sauces provided, a garlic dip and a salsa-like pot was the perfect accompaniment for this meal. Fantastic value for money, a great tasty fresh but still fast food sit-in experience that could easily become an inexpensive monthly treat. Highly recommend!

Friendly, welcoming place with a chatty and entrepreneurial owner. The Turkish food (my friend and I had the halloumi plate and chicken tavuk plate respectively) is of high quality but the stand-our stars are the cocktails! I had Dom’s skull cracking raki cocktail which was amazingly potent and flavourful.

My favourite take out spot in the area! The food is super tasty, you can tell they use quality ingredients and they are open till 2am Fri and Sat! Plus, they often have great deals if you are eating in. It's all delicious but halloumi and peppers wrap is the one for me! 😍

Really nice vibe to the place. Lovely food. High quality. A nice touch of heat to the chilli sauce. Reasonably priced. Clapton needs more lunch spots like this!

Went here yesterday for a wrap to takeaway. It was very tasty and the salad set it off perfectly. Will be back to sit in and try a plate of food. The guy taking the orders was very friendly and welcoming. Good price for a freshly cooked wrap stuffed full.
