We bought Ruby’s cupcakes and a large red velvet cake for our wedding day and they were so unbelievably tasty!!!! I am not vegan but I do try my best to be conscious, I went to Greenwich market to taste the cakes first because I’d never had a vegan one before and they were more beautiful than any other cake we tried. I will definitely be buying a large red velvet cake every year on our anniversary forever more and will definitely be taking friends and family to her Greenwich stall lots of weekends in between! Picking up gluten free treats from Ruby's is the highlight of every trip we make to Greenwich Market. The brownies, loaves and cakes we've tried are all perfectly moist, certainly some of the best we've had in London!
We ordered three 10” cakes for our wedding. They looked stunningly beautiful. Every guest was in awe at the visual beauty Ruby created with these cakes. When it came to the cutting and sharing we were overwhelmed by the positive comments: not only did they all taste amazing in their own unique ways, they tasted utterly superior to non-vegan “normal” special occasion cakes. Divine. More than Moreish. Sublime. A sight and taste extravaganza......these are just some of the comments we had from our friends and families. Bought a gluten free raspberry and pistachio donut at the spittalfields stall today. It was the best donut I have ever eaten and made me so incredibly happy! I really hope you expand up north one day so I can eat your produce all the time. I can't wait to try the banana and chocolate loaf I bought too!
Went there with my mum on our London Trip because it combines my love for vegan food and our love for sweets. Well, what is more to say than after we had a donut, two cupcakes and a donut cupcake. We decided to come back and get another one for the way. If we visit London again we definetly come back!

We ordered a selection of cupcakes for an office party (we have quite a few vegans) and we were absolutely blown away by both the look and taste of these cupcakes. You had non-vegans claiming it was the best cupcake they'd had, and what's even better is the leftovers were still moist and delicious after a few days. Will definitely be re-ordering for our next party!

We ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday on Sunday and it was a bit hit, absolutely delicious!! All our guests loved it so much everyone had seconds and all commented on how amazed they were, best cake they ever had!! Definitely ordering again!!

Hands down the most delicious vegan gluten free cafe! So so glad I stumbled across this gem! I had the Vanilla Brownie Bite which was unreal. There were several GF/VG choices which is a real treat! I had a lovely americano too! I will certain recommend and visit again 🙌🏻
If you are gluten-free and in need of a treat this place is amazing. You can enjoy it in their small Cafe or get a to-go box. There was a discount for six items to go. The strawberry cake and doughnuts were probably my favorites, but everything was excellent.
To say that the candied carrot cake was a slab of Heaven would not do it justice. I had a wonderful experience start to finish and highly recommend any vegans and non vegans try it out! Friendly staff and delicious cake. I will be back
The lady at the till with the glasses was so helpful. She has a beautiful smile that makes you feel so welcomed. I tried the berry cake it was marvellous and crazy delicious
OMG - THANK YOU Ruby's of London. What a sweet respite from all of the carnivore and dairy choices of eating at Greenwich Market. Since I'm vegan, finding acceptable food can always be a challenge. But Ruby's made it easy. We had 2 different vegan sandwiches, which were fresh and quite tasty as well as some delightful vegan desserts (pistachio donut and brownie). Sorry, no pics as I was too busy inhaling all the deliciousness. It was just the perfect amount of light fare that I needed to recharge my internal battery as I continued through the market. Thanks again to Ruby's and happy travels everyone.
Lovely café - and it happens to be vegan. I've enjoyed all the treats I've had: carrot cake, two-layer cake, muffins, stuffed cookies and mini banana bread. The savouries are great too - I had a “quiche and two salads” for £8, all very good. They sell bottles of water-kefir, as well as juices, and there are coffees, teas and milkshakes. There are several choices of plant milks. Other savoury items were sausage rolls and a schnitzel in a bun. Located within Greenwich Market, off to the side.
Tried the raspberry cheesecake cookie and it was DELICIOUS! Perfect texture, perfect taste and perfect combination of flavours. You won’t even tell it’s plant based! Little lovely place in the heart of Greenwich market, it will be my new favourite whenever I’ll be back in the area!
Taste wise I will give it 5 stars considering it's a vegan cake.
But overall the price and the difficulty of getting the cake, made for us the experience as one time only.
Today is my birthday, and carrot cake is my favorite cake. My usual conundrum is that I have dietary restrictions and cannot have carrot cake on my birthday unless I make it myself (which ends up being literal recipe for disaster). But this year is different. I’d like you all to understand the joy I had upon discovering Ruby’s of London. As I’m visiting London, and Greenwich is a bit far, I opted for delivery to the hotel. The glorious cake of carroty goodness arrived in the morning, and (shocker) the cake is amazing. I’m going to eat the whole thing by myself today with zero regrets. Situated down one of the entrances to Greenwich Market is Ruby's. A tea or coffee shop for vegans. Selling cakes pastries,sausage rolls (no animal products). It was very popular, we popped in for a tea and cake with no milk or gluten in sight. Both were very nice with none of the usual dry cardboard taste you get sometimes with glutenfree products. But not cheap 2 pots of tea plus 2 cupcakes £15 . Although the cupcakes did have small doughnuts on top. Nice treat
I've been a huge fan or Ruby's for many years. We recently had them provide the desserts for our wedding too. It was a fantastic choice. The wonderful sweets were gone in minutes and our guests still talk about them! The best part was, no one even realised they were vegan. Even if you don't have allergies/dietary requirements, Ruby's is one of the best (the best!) bakeries in London.
Oh, and don't be fooled by the many many poor substitutes for carrot cake you've eaten in your life. Do your taste buds a favour and try Ruby's.

The staff were so lovely and friendly. The food was an absolute delight. I've actually found myself pining for the asparagus tart that I ate on my visit. Super delicious, lovely gem of a cafe!!
Ruby’s baked a fantastic cake for my 40th Birthday. It was delicious and just what I wanted - everyone who had some really enjoyed it. One of my friends was really surprised to hear it was vegan too, you wouldn’t know!
I can’t fault the service either; from my initial enquiry right through to picking up the cake, they couldn’t have been more helpful, answering any queries I had and helping me get the cake I wanted.
Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Ruby’s in the future. Thank you so much!

The best gluten-free/plant based slice of cake in London! Not too sweet like a lot of vegan/gluten free cakes out there...
I visited last weekend and had the strawberry and buttercream cake. It was divine! Definitely worth a trip to Greenwich for Ruby's.
The staff in the shop are really knowledgeable on all the items, too. Which is always a great touch. Will be returning this weekend for my fix :)
