New Cross visitors look no any further! This restaurant really surprised me! Lamb shashlik was amazing. Restaurant was kind enough to change rice to salad for me, as I don’t like carbs! Good size portion of meal even if you will go for smaller size, but I would recommend go for bigger size of grilled meat as it is really tasty. The Turkish grilled bread was out of this world, the best I ever had! Perfect seasoning. Meat was not salty, I think salt can be added, better less than more! Turkish red wine was surprisingly tasty, even it was cheapest one on the menu. The three dips served with bread was so good too. Most impressive thing was how my grilled meat was brought and served to me, it was still sizzled hot specially done, see video. Prices is okay too. Biggest thank you to my lovely waitress Ivet (sorry of spelling is incorrect) pretty young girl, with beautiful eyes, sweet, polite and very attentive. If I ever back to New Cross, i will certainly come back to this restaurant.
Great food and atmosphere. Service outstanding. One of the best Turkish cuisines I have tasted globally through my travels. Well done guys.
Nice clean space. The bread was amazing. I did not enjoy the starter i had but the main course made up for any misgivings i have. It was absolutely delicious. Lamb chops were succulent and very flavourful. The atmosphere was lovely and staff very nice and professional. Will be visiting again.
One of the best Turkish restaurants around. The food is the absolutely amazing, friendly staff, a lot of space for sit in and at the front "garden". Ideal for large groups and families. The interior deserves a bit of update. Highly recommended.
I've been twice and both time the food and staff have been wonderful. I'll go again. We had the Family Platter and had leftovers. Delicious 😋
THOROUGHLY ENJOYED! Went with Vegan other half; so only ordered Vegetarian/Vegan food. All v.v.good! Loved the Aubergine in Tomato sauce; the Hoummus... And the Breads - hot out of oven, with selection of spicy sauces/yoghurts & salad. Friendly waitress too. RECOMMEND

This restaurant is very cosy. The staff are very friendly. We took some friends residing in another country to this restaurant, both our friends and us were very pleased that the food was great. I was more pleased, as I really did not want to disappoint my friends.
This is a truly authentic Turkish restaurant, with exceptional level of hospitality and quality of food. The prices are very good as well. Every little detail is thought through and flavours unfold one by one, I really think it is a gem of a restaurant!We are going to return many more times!
We had the Seabass & Lamb Shank, both absolutely delicious and the bread is divine!

The bread and the vinegar at the start..... Sorry wait: First I fall in love with the girl who was working..... Wait, wait let's start from the beginning. I started my day with some fruits, a snickers and went to the gym, I was really hungry when I finished training and wanted to eat something fresh and good and I stopped at the Mez Mangal Turkish. First I fall in love😍😍 with the girl that was working there and I am really sorry that I didn't get her numbere😭😭. The bread and the vinegar at the start where the best that I ever had and the House Special Lamb was out of this world😋😋. I highly recommend

Really nice restaurant. It’s well decorated, I loved the ambiance. I was surprised with the Spanish music in the background though. Big menu with many choices (lamb/chicken). They have really nice appetizers ! Portions are really big. I recommend the Turkish red wine. The waitress didn’t manage to open the bottle at first and broke the cork in the bottle but she changed the bottle immediately. Staff is friendly and attentive. I recommend !
Went for lunch. Beautiful atmosphere, and little hot could do with air con or a simple fan. Great food,friendly staff.

(Cold mix meze: sarma, Russian salad, humus, kisir, cacik, tarama salad.
Chicken wings, lamb ribs, adana kofte, chicken and lamb shish, served with rice, chips salad and bread.)
As can see in pictures we leaked the plate. As food was delicious 😋 but lots, we took home the left over. As to delicious to don't.

Eating at Mez Mangal truly reminds me of being on holiday. The atmosphere is relaxed, the service is excellent and the food is very good. The cold meze starter is amazing. I will be going back many times!
