Had a very nice evening at the Light of Gurkha last night.
Food was of a Nepalese influence and very nice. I went for a noodle based curry but having sampled each of the other 3 dishes ordered by my friends I can safely say I'd have enjoyed any of them!

Absolutely incredible food. We've tried many Indian restaurants in Balham and this one simply beats the competition hands down. Tasty food, not at all greasy and really prompt delivery. Highly recommended.
Had a great curry at the Light of Gurkha last night. Food was fantasic (Lamb Butwa was a winner) & they have bottles of St Peter's Golden Ale alongside the Cobra. Will be returning very soon!
The menu had a mixture of Nepalese and British Indian cuisine. Those we tasted were rather good. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Nice little place in Balham. Even though I could only eat the vegetarian food there, it was certainly tasty and worth another visit back. Value for money is excellent.
Great food and superb service. Has replaced the Indian Room as my preferred local Indian restaurant. 5 stars
