Nice little Cafe in little off the main streets of Aldgate, but in the heart of Petticoat Lane. Usually I come here for just a latte some mornings. The food here is however, not so good. Order a omelette de fromage, which was not so good. The omelette looks like it had been cooked in a machine. Quite frankly, if that's the only way a chef can cook an omelette, then I don't imagine, the chef has much skills. Typical of omelettes cooked in a machine, it was bland, had too much oil and totally lacking in texture. The latte however is excellent, but I wouldn't eat here.

Great English breakfast and great Eggs Benedict. Amazingly cheap and great egg-cooking skill 👌 The place and the people working there are simple and authentic and in a time when it's fashionable to eat a fancy veggie brunch coming across a charming place like this is a great experience.

A rather cozy, homely and welcoming place in the middle of a jungle of commerce & money skyscrapers around Aldgate. Looks & feels like a family-run business, with predominantly cheerful and smiling Turkish staff, serving you generous portions of food promptly, and at incredibly reasonable prices - especially for its location. I had a huge chicken & bacon toasted club sandwich, with lots of chips & salad, washed down with a can of soft drink, and a double macciato. It came to... wait for it: ONLY £9!! No typos, no missing digits, no wrong currency! Nine pounds!! I'll be going back for sure, especially after they introduce their completely new (and highly promising) menu next week. I'll always have time for Thyme!😃

Simple, good value food in a cafe environment. Massive fry up for 7.50 or healthier alternatives for less.
