The Japanese Canteen - London - Photo album

Only ate here once and thought it was better than the other Japanese fast-food places in London. Tried a variety of their offerings and it tasted fine, but the flavors weren't all there...so not comparable to what you'd actually find in Japan. Good portions sizes. Lots of seating options and friendl
Good value for money; price reflected the quality and service was fast (though I did go at a none busy time). Note that it is card only and no cash, which is a nice change. Good place around the area for a quick bite.
Such a great find. You HAVE to try their bao buns. I tried both the pork belly and chicken ones, honestly so good! There's loads of seating, but you can get it to take away (I did). As you can see from the pic you order at the counter and they bring your food out shortly afterwards. Service is quite
Food is pretty inexpensive for London, and is served quickly. Good place for a quick cheap meal. Only things that let it down is the menu isn't as expansive as it used to be, and the food wasn't as good as it could have been.
Fast food no frills canteen, the food is hot and wholesome add a sauce and it's tasty, there's a good selection on the menu and the speed of service however busy is very good. It's reasonably priced so don't expect gourmet style food. I go there regularly for lunch and often have to share a table bu
Food was decent and quick service but why was the music sooooooooooooo loud.
This is the one next to Apt bar and I must say with all the other rip off 'trendy' fast sandwich places around I really don't mind paying a couple of pounds extra once in a while for great tasting, filling, high quality food.. portions are very good. Although in the same range with wasabi but even
Korean fried chicken is great!
One of my favourite places for lunch. Highly recommended for the Korean chicken.i certainly enjoy the katsu curry more than at wagamamas. I visited this spot a lot and certainly will do again.
Friendly, quick service and clean. Door at entrance is very heavy which some people might find difficult and plastic cutlery could be replaced with environmentally friendly biodegradable stuff.
Ideal for those "I-deserve-to-treat-myself-today" moments that stroke every now and again. Because in my humble opinion nothing says "good boy, pat on the back for a well done job" like a Katsu Curry preceded by a small Takoyaki plate.
Lovely food, becoming more and more fond of Japanese food. Nice restaurant, feels clean staff are nice. Good choice and mostly healthy.
Decent food but not a fan of the layout of this one - cheap table and stools rather than the long tables featured in other Japanese Canteens.
Food gets done quickly even if the place is very busy. Nice and spacious however the decor is a bit outdated and quite echoey and noisy.
Lovely, simple, ethical Japanese canteen with authentic cuisine. Great for a quick bite alone. Nice staff.
