Fantastic authentic family-run Japanese restaurant. Very friendly staff and needless to say very high quality food, not those you get from other so-called Japanese restaurants. Highly recommend.

The best Japanese restaurant in town. Come here if you are tired of how most Japanese restaurants feel obligated to go for an upscale, modern vibe. This is down-to-earth, friendly and extremely tasty Japanese cooking. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, if often very busy. Space is at a premium, but this really is a slice of Japan in London. The deep-fried skewers are excellent, as are the multitude of daily specials that are written up on the walls. I personally haven't tried the sushi, but it looks very good as well. I can't recommend this place enough.

Another amazing experience! We had to call the day before to make reservations. They have only 3 tables for 4 per table, plus counter space so can't take too many customers in one go. They take their last orders at 9.30 and close at 10. The chef used to work at the British embassy in Tokyo, thus the photo of the queen. And there were signatures of 2 famous people who ate there (can't remember who now). But beware, once you eat here you would've raised the bar for future Japanese meals and they would all be mediocre compared to this amazing place! Our food took some time to come but they had warned us, and the wait was worth every minute.

Wonderfully authentic Japanese food. The deep skewers are amazing, especially the stuffed mushrooms. Staff and very friendly and prices are reasonable. It felt exactly like a small restaurant in the suburbs of Tokyo.

100% authentic Japanese cooking from a husband and wife team, who are, of course, Japanese. Cozy and without unnecessary pretences, 9 out of 10 guests are from Japan, the rest are referrals from the core 9. No random visitors, which is fantastic. Some may say it is pricey and i may want to agree. Yet, how much extra you are willing to take in, if you have a flavour of Tokyo in London? It is up to you, the experience, the ambience of the place is totally unique. And uplifting! Arigato, Saito-san!!!

It is a family run restaurant serving authentic izakaya style food. The owners are very nice and are always around. Small plates on the menu are highly recommended to try. You will need to book a table though as it could get really busy and the restaurant is small. It is a small red gem in Earls Court!

Been several times, it's one of the few places in town where you can actually have access to authentic Japanese food & get a sense of down-to-earth Japanese diners. The only negative side I can think of is the slightly higher price considering its offering, but it's London anyway.

I am still wondering what made me push the door of this place, but I didn’t regret for sure. A real Japanese restaurant, with a great service and very polite personnel, a nice chef and a food so tasty I still remember how delicious was the beef when I had dinner there. Warmly recommended

This is the best Japanese restaurant in London. Forget your sushi bar western style. Like being in one of those small places in their country.
