Really enjoyed the fish finger sandwich. Excellent portion size, reasonably priced and good quality food - really friendly service too. The fact it's dog friendly and near Hampstead Heath made it an ideal place for lunch after walking the dog. Highly recommend!

Thank you so much for catering for a crazy bunch of family, kids and dog included. Really great food. Great place with lots of atmosphere and particularily good music playing. Could have happily sat in there all day. Enjoyed the hot toddys.

The pie is to die for and the staff are fantastic! Always have a relaxing time there and if you enjoy eccentric decor, and old books it's worth a lazy afternoon

Popped in yesterday for a few beers while visiting London with my girlfriend. My parents used to manage it for a short spell in the mid 80's , I did a few shifts behind the bar and it was always our favourite. Happy to say it hasn't changed much, it still retains the quaint charm I remembered. Although we didn't stay for long we were made to feel welcome and it brought back many happy memories.

An old haunt of mine from the 70s and80 s still the best pub in London, excellent beers, wines and spirits, not tried the food yet but I am sure it will be to the same standard.

The Sir Richard Steele pub on Haverstock hill is interesting to say the least. A big tidy wooden floored pub with a peninsular bar occupying the centre of the premises, never too far to walk when drink is needed. No cask ales on my visit although there is one pump with the clip reversed so maybe sometimes. There are some lovely architectural and decorative features including the stained glass window, the Batman and Robin standard lamps on the stairs and a dark painted bacchanalian ceiling. I also like the "Bombs Away" poster. A great pub with good background music.

We rented out the back room and garden for a birthday party. We had the most splendid evening. The space was perfect, we were able to play music and decorate how we wanted. The staff were just wonderful. They helped with anything we needed and make sure we were having a great night. Looking forward to coming back.

Fantastic pub, it's extremely friendly and the staff make a big effort to make you feel welcome. There is a great selection of drinks at very reasonable prices plus there's live music and karaoke on selected nights. Top class place! It's what a pub should be! I'll definitely be back!

This is the best boozer in the neighbourhood for sure, and it's all thanks to Steve (the owner) and his awesome staff. Prices are reasonable, the vibe is unbeatable, the garden is gorgeous and the food is great. You should absolutely stop by for Saturday barbecue if you have the chance. They have a cheap happy hour during weekdays, pub quiz one day, etc. It's honestly the best place to hang out with friends and soak up the sun on a nice day, and it doesn't hurt that the food is excellent. Highly recommend if you're in the area. This is a wonderful local pub.

5th week in a row having their Sunday lunch. Really beautiful, tasty food, with large portions — and very reasonably priced. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The Steeles is now privately owned by a wonderful chap named Steve, and he's making a real go of it. EDIT: June 2022 — The Steeles has now been sold to a small chain, and has a new manager, who is professional and friends. Went for Sunday lunch again, and it was still really good — one of the best in the area. This pub is cozy and well-run, but for some reason is not just attracting the locals at the moment; many other pubs around are packed for Sunday lunch, and some you even have to book one or two weeks in advance! So if you want a great roast, this is your place. EDIT: September 2023 — The Steeles is now back with its original owner from a few years ago. So the place is looking like its old self again, and all the corporate blandness has gone. Yet another fab Sunday roast for just £16.50 — see the photo.

By far and I mean far my favourite pub, stumbled across this place on way to hospital, from outside looks just like a normal pub, go inside and the place is jam packed full of character, I was completely shocked, plenty of drinks, the food is amazing, ribs, fries and a pint for less than £20, absolute bargain great outside area too, a place I've been to a few times now and would 💯 recommend

Nice big outside area, not under cover. Was there between 4pm to gone 6pm. Drinks £4.50 beer or wine we drank. Bar staff very quick and friendly. Just outside the main Camden area. C11 to end of England s Lane turn left or Chalk Farm turn left.

Absolutely over joyed that the pub is starting to resemble something of its old self! A few years ago it was decimated by developers and new management - however the old management have taken it back and it is once again beginning to be an asset to the surrounding area!

Have put a 4 as the first time we went the service was excellent but this time was not so great - bar staff more interested in chatting to each other than serving customers. Disappointed as we had taken a friend and had highly recommended it.

Beautiful ambiance... Lovely decor. Candlelit and a great selection of beers and spirits. Kinda wish this pub was closer to where I live! Proper place to have a beer. Taytos are available... Cracking. Worth a walk if you are at the roundhouse for a gig !!!

Had a lovely time here the other day with live music for my partner's birthday. Friendly staff, nice venue, great selection of drinks and fair choice of food. Limited veggie options though

The Sir Richard Steele is probably my favourite pub. With its upstairs area currently being converted into flat, the future of the pub is a bit uncertain, but when it's open it's lovely. It's in a perfect location, and the beer garden is fenced off from the rest of the world for a feeling of security and privacy. The interior decor is incredible; there's always some ornament or hanging picture that I spot for the first time with each visit. Prices are reasonable. Staff are friendly. It's the best pub!

Entering here is like jumping into another dimension! The place is full of antiquities and rooms where sitting. The drinks choice is amazing. There's the possibility to play with board games.
