My friend and I loved this place - everything from the layout of the restaurant, ease of ordering via the ipad to the packaging and quality of food! My friend had the banh mi and she couldn’t stop singing its praises. Deffo would go again!
The breakfast menu at HOP amazed me. It’s such a good breakfast to go deal, £4.25 for a breakfast item and a coffee, coffee by Taylor Street Baristas which are located in the area and provide great coffee.
The options for breakfast are vast, fried egg dishes, baguettes too. I ordered a tasty tomato
Really nice lunch via Meal Pal. HOP was very busy, the queue was out the door so must be doing something right. Good flavours with this chicken curry, just the right portion size as well. Would recommend get there earlier or has meal pal to avoid the queues.

It is almost 5 stars.
I enjoyed tasteful broth. Chicken is tender and well seasoned. Without any additional options, volume is enough for me. To be fair, pho noodle itself is too soft and shredded. But it’s acceptable level.
Coffee is ok
They use taylor st. barista
Drip coffee is lovely if its sunny I recommend the Vietnamese drip iced coffee.
Drawbacks - loud pop music blaring
Went there for lunch - it was quick and tasty. Staff was friendly and efficient.
Decent enough Vietnamese place in the city. Great Viet iced coffee, but dropped a star for increasing prices and stopping breakfast post Covid. I get it, but almost £4 for what is essentially a medium size is too much, especially as I can’t grab it until most of the way through the morning. I’ve hea
Good lemongrass chicken. Ambience and aluminum trays are 'basic'.
Their banh mis have some creative fillings but they work well! The store is spacious and there are both outdoor and indoor seatings. Ordering can be done either via their app or via in-store machines so it's very convenient. Worth a try!
Fast, efficient and friendly service. A number of chairs outside to eat at. Great for a quick lunch. The food is always good, I have had most of the dishes on the menu now and have not been disappointed by any of them.
Solid place to grab a quick lunch when you're nearby. Nice staff, good options, consistent quality. Be aware it's Vietnamese style fast food, not authentic Vietnamese.
On my visit, I had a pork and pate banh mi. The banh mi made for decent lunch - it had a good amount of pork filling, was quite tasty, and was adequately sized. One obvious area for improvement is the baguette itself - the bread was too dense and chewy, rather than light and crisp as it really shoul
Their lunches are delicious, and just had the breakfast banh mi, which was also really good. Bacon, eggs plus some Vietnamese herbs etc added a unique touch.
Excellent coffee to boot.
I'm Vietnamese and I used to love Hop when it first came out, the combination of Vietnamese taste and the compact lunch boxes is perfect. Over time, the taste has been changed and it is too sweet now. But I love the branding design at Hop stores, I will definitely eat there everyday now if they can
Friendly crew, even they didn't speak English that well. We couldn't use a card so had to pay in cash. (Don't know if that's always the case, though)
The service was really quick and the food was delicious. We both had a regular beef Bahn Mi. It's not really a place to comfortably sit down and eat
