Delicious Ugandan food. We tried a lot of different dishes. Everything was great. My absolute favorites were the groundnut stew (binyebwa/gnut) and whole fried tilapia with posho and matooke. My Dad was Ugandan and those were his favorite dishes, and they do them very well here. We also tried the goat and beef stews, chapati, samosas and goat tripe soup. If you like tripe, that soup is fantastic and the chapati with the stews are pure comfort food.
This place is an absolute gem ! Great quality of food and really good service :)
It was my first time in a Ugandan restaurant and I was really really impressed!
Take the food recommendations from the staff!
And finish the dinner with a lovely Ugandan ginger tea ☕
Prices may have gone up by a bit by the ones in the menu but still really affordable for what you get 🙂
Highly recommended!
Very good tasty Ugandan dishes, with a good choice of vegetarian and meat dishes. Loved the peanut (Binyebwa) soup and greens (enva enndiirwa)
I absolutely looovveeeeeee this place. The food was amazing. I ate till my stomach wanted to pop out but I still wanted more. I had Ugandan music on for the atmosphere, and I loved it. They served us with big smiles and were very welcoming. I felt very at home. Definitely go there with a few hours to spare so you can eat without any rush. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ though the fish was really huh for one person. Just one fish is already a family portion.
We got a takeaway and the food was really tasty! Recommend the jollof, the cassava stewed with beans and the Ground nuts /Binyebwa
Chose this place based on the pictures on Google reviews. The pictures don't do the food justice. We had 2 very large portions of rice, 2 chapattis each, beef stew, chicken stew and 2 drinks. It was very cheap for the amount of food we received. The guys working there were lovely. This place deserves more customers! Due to lack of they only offered limited amount of dishes but very kindly offered to put the buffet on even though we were the only people in there. But we chose to go for the main dishes instead and it was worth it. Don't be put off on the appearance of the place. Although it could really do with a makeover, it is clean and well worth the money. We will definitely be coming back often.
Been here three times. However my recent visit was incredible and blew me and my friends away. The chapatis were out of this world. To be honest, everything was really good. We had to also order more food to take home. The service was also really great.
Food was delicious.
Portions was massive
Best chapati ever!!!!
I’ve never tried Ugandan food but we were very pleasantly surprised about the taste, price and quantity. The peanut stew in particular with the roti was so savoury and filling. There’s not much ambiance but might have been the time we were there. Great place to try something new.
Beautiful food and lovely service. We travelled from Coventry to London for an event and had already researched where we wanted to eat as we wanted East African food and come across this restaurant, so we had to try it out. Upon arriving we wasn’t sure if the restaurant was open but we were warmly welcomed by the staff and they were more than happy to take our order. The guy that took our order was really friendly and was really helpful with recommendations, we had a good chat and a laugh with him. The food we had was fresh, SO delicious and great value for money! Really authentic, wholesome and beautiful food! We ordered a lot of food and originally we wanted to eat in but we decided we would take the rest home for takeaway as it was getting late. Overall amazing food and amazing service! Again such great value for money - we spent £50 and we had loads, big portions too! Would definitely come back again whenever we’re next in London and eat in properly next time! 100% recommend thank you very much!
