Quality pub with something for everyone. Family atmosphere during the day and relaxed night out in the evening. Generally very welcoming staff and food isn't half bad either. Also has the best beer garden in North London.
Our baked Camembert gooed with creamy Camembertness and a gentle hint of rosemary. The firmness of the generous sourdough bread made good scooping and dipping tools. Though we had to ask for cutlery to make eating easier. There is too much cheese to only use bread as eating utensils!
One time, a coaching inn for people travelling north from London, The Griffin has long been a pub keeping some old-world charm.
I warmed my teddy fur by one of the open fireplaces whilst watching Arsenal beat Aston Villa in the Premiership on a large TV screen above one fireplace!
Wall paneling, panel doors, and stone floor lend themselves to avoiding this friendly bei
A grade 2 listed building at the back used to be stables. We didn’t see this or the garden. The large coaching arch with its big doors sits to the right of the building face.
One of the bar staff politely and discreetly asked Mummy Debra to not take so many photos as people might feel uncomfortable. Though when Arsenal beat Aston Villa, four men on the table next to ours wanted to be photographed with me. We explained what had been said. The barmaid overheard and said it was fine as they wanted the photo. She ended up taking the photograph herself so Mummy Debra could be in it too! Thank you!
This is a dog-friendly pub and there are doggy treats for the canine punters!
Not overly modernised but had dashes of mod cons.
Week 1 the booze tube ,Around our world on a freedom pass
Tamar and Kwame looked after us and kept us safe
Measures are 25ml single 50ml double
The pub is light and airy like an ninja air fryer, the Guinness was cold but not too cold.
Tamar picked our next pub on the random spin app. Look out Acton Town
Such a nice, easy going pub. The service is always outstanding as the staff are so lovely and always willing to help.
Good spot for a family Sunday roast. Opted for the trio and it hit the spot! Thank you
Always love coming here, cosy inside in the winter and with an amazing beer garden to enjoy in the summer
The beer garden in this pub is super nice! Music is always very decent too and the food, especially the pizza is a must try. Highly recommended for your local google guide 👍
They have a huge and lovely outside area, very quaint, colourful and enjoyable. I think pictures speak for themselves! 🌷
Upon entering the pub we were given a very clear explanation of their covid and safety rules 🙂
They’ve also implemented an online ordering system (to avoid physical menus) which we thought is pretty organised and the service was really fast.
Oh they also have a huge screen for any football fans.
Definitely would highly recommend this pub and would go there regularly if we lived nearby.
One of the best pub gardens I've seen. Wonderful pub, friendly staff. Perfect place for a hot summer eve.

I came here for a drink with friends before going to a Rock and Roll party. We didn't eat this time but I have before and their Sunday Roasts are great. The atmosphere was friendly.
Friendly staff, nice garden at the back. Pretty clean place and good food. Can be busy as almost all pubs in the area but they handling their place very well
The waitress/ bit of everything Ella was such a delight. She made our griffin experience extremely enjoyable with her friendly and bubbly presence. I will definitely be coming back to see her and eat the roast.
HUGE sprawling pub... lovely staff... gorgeous ACTUAL massive beautiful beer garden🌲🌱🌿🌹🌳... a bit difficult to navigate with all the little rooms and sections but it must be lovely in the summer!
Not a bad place fir hanging out also reasonably priced food and a good quality too. Like the vibe of this place
Lovely drinks in the massive garden with friends, bar staff were knowledgeable and helpful. Lovely way to end an evening.
Very large pub, good to book a table for a birthday. The guiness was good. Plenty of televisions for sport.
It’s a great pub, real institution, big garden, lots of staff, good service, good beer what’s not to like.
Lovely local pub with a great garden space. Part of the outdoor space is covered and the rest is exposed to the elements, so there's something for everyone!
They usually have resident food stalls, so keep an eye out on their socials. Managed to go when Jerk + Grind were there and had an amazing, hugeeeee Carribbean roast dinner.
Would recommend for sure.
They also show sport 👌🏿
What a fantastic pub. The inside is original with all wooden panels and 2 original fireplaces and out side you've a hidden garden area. Quality selection of beers on draught. Well worth a visit.
This is a great place to watch the football. Large number of screens and undisturbed view of the screens from every seat in the huge outdoor, heated beer garden.
It is also not too crowded but has a fantastic atmosphere.
Highly recommend the large beer garden in the summer too.
