Excellent family run independent business that is so popular there are regularly queues outside! This petite sandwich bar offers so much more than their name suggests. A wide choice of hot/cold drinks, fruit, crisps and tempting treats are there to accompany a sandwich (or jacket potato!) with countless fillings of your choice. Hot toasted ciabatta, soft rolls or white sliced breads are always fresh and can be matched with one of the many suggestions or you can invent your own! Staff are wonderful and work like demons to keep the queue down at busy times. That said, if you pop in more than once to order the same thing you can be confident the next time it will be “The usual?” - I have no idea how they remember so many different orders! Next time you are looking for a quick bite then give them a try - so much better that the multitude of corporate sandwich shop that now seem to dominate towns and cities.

What a wonderful sandwich place. I came across as I walked pass by. Gave it a try. One of those small gems. Fresh and tasty. I also liked their canoli. The people behind the counter are friendly too. Definetely recommend if you are around and get hungry.

Always walked past this spot on the way to the Maughan library. Decided to pop in today for a light lunch. Happy to say that I will be returning very soon! I ordered the no. 4, which was a pressed panini with mortadella, mozzarella, olives and rocket. The ingredients tasted fresh and complimented each other very well. It would've been made even better with a little salt and pepper. Staff were friendly too, greeting me as soon as I walked in. For £6.50, this is great value for money considering that it's located in Strand.

Have been a recurring customer for five years since my days at uni, absolutely cannot fault it and staff still remember me (and my order!) even after prolonged absences - consistently delicious sandwiches and exceptional staff, rarely review but it’s worth pointing out excellence

This place is a world class sandwich shop! I used to come daily when I was in London in 2022 and all I had to say was "I'll take the usual" which was a tuna sandwich (epic by the way). When I left for 5-6 months and came back and returned to the shop they recognized me and remembered my order after all that time. Genuinely impressive. 11/10.
