I went to Italia Uno with mother for a brunch. This is a really good place as it has a good and cozy atmosphere.

Some of the best dishes at this place were tandoori chicken and chicken salad with chicken wings.

I would highly recommend you guys to go to this outlet.

It doesn't get much more Italian than this. Wander in here of a lunchtime and you'll see a whole family at work: serving tables, cutting bread and grinding salami. The sandwiches are to die for, all about £4 with a fine array of meats, cheeses and oils packed in. Queues are long every lunchtime but once you've queued and placed your order, service is very swift. This is great if you're eating in, but if you're getting something to take away be aware that it's worth going at 12pm rather than 1pm to save 10-15 minutes of time you'll spend waiting to order. Great food, simple decor: far from the fanciest place to get a bite to eat, but certainly one of the most authentic.

This is a really cool, authentic Italian joint on Charlotte Street, just opposite the Saatchi building. You know it's the real deal because whenever there's a big Italian football game going on, the place overflows with passionate Italians. One lunchtime, when it was a little less busy, I wandered in for a sandwich. It was probably the freshest, most rounded cold sandwich I've had in London. The ingredients, I should add, were not just fresh, but of a very high quality. It really felt like I was in a little place in Rome. And, sure enough, I've been back with a vengeance. If you're a UCL student in particular, this is a perfect place to pick for a relatively cheap, very much delicious lunch.

Screw Flanders.

One of my favourite lunchtime haunts. This is one of those little gems that are so good to find in London. It's an authentic Italian, with the owner working there all hours of the day, they show Italian football, and the place is always full of Italian chat. They serve a variety of sandwiches on ciabatta bread with cold meats cut there and then in-front of you. Always the freshest ingredients and a lashing of their olive oil dressing makes these stand out a lot more than your average sandwich from pret at incredible value as well.
If you want something hot they do pasta, lasagne, risotto too. They are all home made, but are microwaved so they have a nuke effect making the pasta a bit rubbery, but for under a fiver you can't really expect esquiste dining, and neither should you for a quick lunch

A gem. £5.50 for most items and it's absolutely fantastic. What you imagine an authentic Italian deli to be. Fresh ingredients, great bread. My friend had chicken escalope with salad and I had the vegetarian breakfast which was scrambled eggs with all the best parts of an Italian antipasti plate. Fresh, light and very competitive prices. I've recommended it immediately to my family and friends.

Nice atmosphere and home-cooked Italian food. Aubergine parmigiana was really good. Budget-friendly and a filling lunch.

Absolutely amazing. £4.70 for a slab of DELICIOUS lasagne, perfect little side salad, crispy garlic bread, gorgeous little seat out front. Felt like I was on holiday! Now one of my favourite places in London. (I just wish they sold alcohol so I could have had a beer with it!)

Italia Uno is my favourite cafe in London, it’s such great value and the food is great. I always get the Bondola sandwich with artichokes and would really recommend. The coffee is also great and the daily pasta too. The cafe has such a authentic Italian vibe and the owner Felice is lovely and really friendly. I have been coming here nearly every weekend for about 1 / 1.5 years, but now I’ve finished my masters I won’t be in the area nearly as much, which I am very sad about it! I have recommend this spot to all my friends, and will always be back when I’m in the area. Thanks Felice!!

a local favourite of mine! I used to live down the road from here and the paninis and coffee are to die for! The fresh warm bread and delicious meat make it so special compared to the cookie-cutter cafes around the area (and way more affordable!). This place really has a home-cooked taste. I miss it now that I've moved away from the area. The owner is absolutely lovely, he is always so friendly and chatty and really cares about customer service. This place is an absolute gem as is the owner, and a must-visit. Please support this local cafe!

This review is primarily based on the sandwiches made here and my overall experiences here over countless visits over the years. This is not your fancy sandwich place, this is your Italian hole in the wall, fresh deli meat on bread kinda place with a cappuccino on the side kinda place. Whatever the Italian version of a greasy spoon is, this is it (but without the grease). Family owned and run they make top tier sandwiches and lovely coffee at a price you shouldn't be able to get in central London (I'm surprised more students are coming here for their fill). Some of the other stuff outside of the sandwiches can be a bit hit or miss, but for the price I don't think you're justified to complain. My only fault would be sometimes, closer to the evening they run out of the nice soft bread they use and the alternative doesnt quite hit the same, but still this place is far far better than a lot of the other sandwich places nearby and it's open, somehow, pretty much all day. Oh and the interior is just a real quirky mix of everything, with TVs playing 3 different Italian channels at any one time, almost always one with football. I find its nicest to sit outside, but often I'm just grabbing and going for lunch.

One of the best cafes in London! I've been going to Italia Uno for over a year, and each time the food is absolutely delicious and the service is so friendly and welcoming. I normally get a number nine sandwich with aubergines, but all of them are delicious and I could eat one every day. The pasta is also great, especially the lasagne. Their cappuccino is the best I've found in London, and super affordable aswell. Overall, a fantastic family run business, and I hope their success continues to grow and grow.

Just randomly pop in there for a coffee, cold drink or bite to eat. The coffee is far far better than the chain coffee shops on the adjacent Tottenham Court Road. They can make you a sandwich/roll or you can get some of their delicious pasta. This is one of the hidden gems in central London which you only find if you go down a side street.

In a world of chain cookie cutter cafes with freezing cold sandwiches (pret anyone?) it’s nice to go somewhere where the bread is warm and the food tastes of a home kitchen rather than a uniform corporate recipe. Albeit a tasty Italian home kitchen - mozzarella, good bread, real ham sliced in front of you, aubergine, artichokes…your sandwich made how you want it with exactly what you want in it - made slowly and properly …with the bread properly seasoned with salt, pepper, lemon. It’s not shiny or corporate which makes it all the more special. And it’s cheaper than pret, which is a miracle.

A nice and cosy restaurant that feels like home, the chef was very kind and friendly We paid 15 pounds for meal desert and coffee for 2. An authentic place that is worth your time and will save your money. A nice quiet break in this big and fast city.

An excellent Italian restaurant run by family. Good food and reasonable price. Highly recommend tomato soup. Just a bit more than £2.0. 😋😋. Fully fill my stomach with after taste. Much cheaper and tasty than Pret.

I’d give this place 6 stars if I could. The food is delicious and very cheap, especially considering the area it’s in. I come here very regularly and have only ever had positive experiences. The meat is cut fresh to order and nothing is prepackaged, and the drinks are great too.
