Last October I was with my family in London and we visited the specialist cellars to buy NZ wine to take to friends we were visiting. This April a friend in London was turning 80 and I emailed Specialist Cellars from my home in Auckland to order to NZ wine and have it sent. It was all done so smoothly and I have a photo of my friend celebrating his 80th happily holding up one of the bottles of wine I sent. All achieved with no fuss at all. Excellent. Janet v Randow
Great service. I ordered a bottle of Central Otago wine as a gift but I didn't include a message for the recipient when placing the order. Was emailed straight away asking if I would like to add one (yes!). Was kept well informed of delivery times to ensure I knew when the gift would be delivered.

As a first timer who has been bitten before by poor service from online wine companies, all I can say is that Specialist Cellars exceeded my expectations. The wine was exactly what I ordered (and is delicious), it was very carefully boxed, it was delivered when promised, and there was a lovely note from the owners of the company. This is how it should be done!
An outstanding array of new world wines - especially good for those of us missing our homelands! Excellent and friendly customer service. I'm always partial - and biased - to the kiwi selection but the top pick from this order is the Birichino Malvasia Bianca from Monterey - great to see an alternative Californian white. Nothing wrong with a Chardonnay but nice to taste something different.

I don't go anywhere else for my wine now, Specialist Cellars always deliver well-priced, absolutely delicious, unique and varied wines from all over the New World, with the personal touch, amazing events online and in person (when we're allowed to be together in person, that is!) and with flair and great communication throughout. Highly recommend. And highly recommend you join their mailing list so you're first to find out about special deliveries, exclusive wine releases, sales, events, wine facts and tips, and loads of other fun stuff. Excellent range of wines if you want something special from some of the top producers in NZ, Australia or South Africa. My experience has been ordering online, either for home delivery or for collection from Brixton. Wines always top quality and great customer service.
I really enjoy visiting the Laundry, as well as sampling some of Specialist Cellars' extremely delicious wines at home. Being a local they deliver to my door!
During lockdown we ordered their at home meals which were a triumph and a real treat. (although sadly they didn't stop by to do the dishes 😂, which was a shame!).
We are so lucky to have such a great wine shop in Brixton. Mel and her team are a fantastic local business and you should definitely buy your wine here and give them some proper Brixton love.
