I'm just so disappointed it's taken me this long to find this place. Ever since we moved to Essex we have longed for a place that serves exceptional coffee and amazing food. They made our toddler feel welcome too!

Off the beaten track but you'll find the best coffee lovingly crafted by the friendly and informative staff. A great brunch and lunch menu - the French toast is fantastic. The cafe is set inside the workshop so there's a constant buzz of activity. A great place to work, read the papers or just enjoy a coffee.

Really nice, I had a French toast with bacon. Normally I’m not mixing sweet and salt, but this time I did the it on suggestion on my Canadian friend. I have to say… : to not do it. I don’t know I’m not a huge fan of this so for this it have nothing to have with the reviews. The quality of the items served to me was really good, the pan brioche was perfect mixed and had the perfect aroma of orange and everything mix perfect with the chocolate on top. The bacon it’s not fit a lot, but if you like it, we’ll need to take it. Nice coffee, if you want a little 20p discount on coffees, take your own cup, and they will apply it. The ambient is soft, warm, feel like your are on break from you carpenter work.

A lovely tucked away spot for a gorgeous brunch! Always where I take friends and family who visit and blows them away every time. The coffee is perfect and the staff are the loveliest team who always look after me when I visit. Keep it up team!!

I went there towards closing time and straight away we were greeted and asked what we wanted. We ordered Humus that came in a quite sizable medium bow with homemade bread and 2 hot chocolates. The atmosphere was very plesant with a background music calming and relaxing.

Its a special place. Not the cheapest. But they do a lot of community work, so one cant grumble too much. The food itself is great. The bacon bap with egg is pricey at £7. But the star is the french toast.l is £11 plus any add ons you might want. I had it a few weeks ago and its been a craving since. Get there early....it sells out.

Our favourite summer breakfast café: it’s so nice to sit outside and watch the sparrows. Staff are great, pastries and coffee really good, but toast and peanut butter is my go to. Sometimes stage events- we loved the salsa evening- and there are cocktail evenings too…
