First time to The Manor House yesterday for Sunday lunch & the food was excellent. The beef was some of the best I've ever eaten in a restaurant and the whipped horseradish cream it came with was so good. I'm unsure why there are comments about portion size as I couldn't even finish all of mine!
The beer and wine selection is really impressive and at just over £30 for a three course meal and a glass of booze I think it's pretty good value too.
The staff were all really friendly & the atmosphere is relaxed & welcoming.
Why wouldn't you eat here?!

Great ambience, good food although a bit pricy! Beautifully decorated. Hampstead has just come to Wanstead. Everyone must try this place at least once!
I have frequented this pub since its inception and have eaten on many occasions, some have been good and some have not. However, I thought it only right that I leave a comment on the Sunday lunch I recently had. it was by far the best pub lunch I have had anywhere for a long time, I was with a party of 4 and we all commented how good the roasts were. Well done guys, keep it up
We absolutely love this place and have been coming along for a number of years. Lively, good vibe, kid and pet friendly. I would have given 5 stars on all accounts but, have a few views that could be an improvement.
Staff behind the bar are great and attentive, but in recent times noticed the staff serving food should have better knowledge of hygiene. You can’t be touching the pets coming in and then serving food to customers. The food on a few occasions has been overcooked and my partner found hair in his food. We left raising a complaint as we don’t like to cause a fuss. Some improvements could be made to the washroom facilities also. But on the whole, the management need to train the staff on hygiene, washing hands and food standards. Once these points have been improved then it will be 5 stars across the board.
I'm not sure whether to let everyone know that this place has a great beer garden with full sun for pretty much all day or keep that to myself.
Gets a little busy, but queues go down quick. Standard pub fare and decently priced. Enjoyable place to while away an afternoon.
This is an absolutely delightful pub. Service was great and the fish and chips was on point! I love the atmosphere and it’s not so loud you can’t hear anything. It’s got a family vibe and there were lots of children around. I would come back. They had an outdoor area too for when the weather picks up. I would recommend. Yummy!

Very decent pub in a nice location. I have yet to try the food, but the only downsides here are the prices of drinks, and at times getting served can take quite a while
Great pub, good food and nice vibe. Lost a star due to service charge being added to all food that is ordered at the bar! Fair enough if orders were taken at the table, but bar service does not warrant a service charge

Very nice Camden Ale on tap. Reasonably priced, but obviously a lot pricier than witherspoon a few doors along. Food looked good, but didn't try so not rated.

I have lived local to here for about 4 years now. A brilliant pub with a brilliant atmosphere, no matter what the season. One of my favourite locals always for food and drink!
