Lovely pot of tea followed by banging fish and chips and calamari and the best mushy peas! Loved it
We always have a great experience at the Fish House. The location is ideal and there is a trendy feel as you step inside. The menu is amazing and innovative and the presentation is excellent. We all enjoyed our meals and can’t wait to visit again to try something new. Friendly staff too. #Recommended
Great fresh fish in super tasty batter but best of all Irish chip shop curry sauce ! If you miss your curry chips from Ireland check it out asap cures homesickness and hangovers :)
We had a fabulous meal, friendly staff, I would highly recommend people to dine here.
The best piece of cod I have tasted in a long time and lovely fresh chips too .portions were great too
The best fish & chips I have ever eaten, didn't want to finish as every mouthful was delish!! 2nd time at this restaurant and will definatley returning.

Omg that's was so nice fish house on the east village e20 it's amazing and staff lovely to defo will be back. X
Just love the resturant at Viccy Park, couldn't be happier that they are opening a new branch in East Village, E20.
Food is always amazing ! Don't eat fish no where else !
Great food and a relaxing atmosphere, friendly service with a smile would definitely visit again
Amazing place in London. I love the food. can’t wait to come back here again. Congratulations to the staff.
Absolutely amazing restaurant with equally amazing food.
Love this place and I will definitely become a regular 👌🏻👌🏻
Service, food and ambiance are just perfect.
If you haven’t been, give it a go 👌🏻👌🏻
Fish house is a nice place to eat at the neighborhood. It has a take away and restaurant section. I had fish and chips and grilled seabass. Nothing is special with the fish and chips but I enjoyed the grilled seabass. However the staff is as rude as other restaurants in London. Good food, atmosphere is ok, staff is rude.
Amazingly, we stumbled across this wonderful little restaurant called Fish House by Victoria Park. I cannot believe I didn't know about it! This will definitely be my regular from now on.
You can get your regular rock cod and chips at retro chippie Fish House or go for something a bit different. And when I say that I'm not talking about battered savs, pukka pies and onion rings.
A modern take on the fish and chip shop it also serves things like moules mariniers, maryland crab cakes, oysters, scallop risotto and fish pie. On the side you can have mashed potato, battered samphire (seaweed) or a trio of pickles.
Located in that cute little village at the Hackney end of Victoria Park it looks and feels like a fish and chip shop with a front counter and then minimalist tables and chairs in a light and spartan restaurant section at the side and round the back.
It also serves you up takeaway in white cardboard cartons of the style you get in coastal towns like Brighton, but don't find that much in London.
In addition to their excellent food and attention to detail they are an eco friendly business, adhering to guidelines on daily fishing catches and using potatoes and other produce from locally sourced farmers.
Reasonably priced and recommended.
I've been coming to this restaurant for quite a few years as a takeaway customer and travelling 3 miles home with my food as the food is outstanding!
On this occasion, we decided to have a meal in the restaurant and it's the first time I've eaten there since becoming vegetarian and once again I wasn't disappointed 😀
There's a good selection of vegetarian options including Banana Blossom 🌸 which was amazing! It was the first time I've tried Banana Blossom and I'm going to be making it at home as a fish alternative - thanks for opening the doors and my mind to the possibilities.
In my experience the food at the Fish House has always been great with queues normally outside the door on Fridays and Saturday evenings - often you'd see a minibus 🚐 of police officers pull up and grab their dinner.
There's a pub next door with Victoria Park across the road and a good selection of independent shops and restaurants that make up the parade.
Staff are very attentive, helpful and friendly.
Excellent fish and chips. Crisps fish and crispy chips , fluffy on the inside. One portion was enough to share as a light lunch between 2. We got a takeaway and took it to the park nearby. The eat in prices are quite expensive but takeaway prices very reasonable.
Delicious fish and chips with a lovely view of the park. Fish is cooked to perfection, superb choice of sauces: tartare, curry, mushy peas and aioli. Fish is crispy, portions are generous. A great London experience.
It's one of those places to which you will always return for more. The food is very delicious and fresh with options for both vegans and vegetarians.
The place has four tables outside where you can enjoy your food, but they also have tables inside where you can wait for your takeaway or just simply dining in their restaurant.
The whole place has a very 'fishy' vibe and will make you hungry instantly.
The staff is very friendly and I've noticed they call the cook 'chef'.
Definitely recommend the Fish House.
!
Good quality burgers.
Fries could've been better.
Didn't get the sauce we asked for.
Free tap water was great.
Staff were pleasant.
Ordered the bangla wrap and the OG chicken thighs with two regular chips. The chicken was very delicious which was surprising since it was a fish shop. My partner says the bangla wrap was the best wrap he has ever tasted! We both had a good experience and the toilets were modern as well.
Great fish & chips! Both were tasty and good quality and the staff was nice and helpful.
The vegan fish was very good and tasty, but the battered sausage was just a Quorn sausage in batter, so a little disappointing.
Cool atmosphere and nice place overall.
Fantastic local restaurant. Fish always fresh and portions just right. Today they had a pop up ‘Hot Chick’ I had the Seoul Bun and got to say it’s up there with the best! Super yum sauce! Don’t go anywhere else for your chicken!
Our favourite Fish and Chips!
We love their crispy batter, mushy peas and curry sauce.
I've not been here for a while but remember flawless service and excellent fish & chips, it looks like it's under new ownership, the food was good not great like it used to be, I also ordered calimari and never received it. The overall service was good and it is a nice restaurant in an excellent location. The place is always packed for take away but I was ok getting seating inside today, it costs a few more £ to sit inside which I didn't mind paying. My fish & chips along with mushy peas cost £15.
Suddenly really expensive but like all other chip shops in that respect. Always good quality and gluten-free batter is a rare treat! New chicken idea is a solid addition.
Fish house offers some truly lovely food, locally sourced and as fresh as it comes. They split their restaurant into two parts - a classic fish and chips shop with all the classics, but cooked to perfection, and a sit-down restaurant with an extensive menu of deliciously prepared fish and some vegetarian options. Also available on the weekends is a superb brunch service. Make sure you order the kedgeree if it's the last thing you do - a huge mound of deliciously flavoured rice with flakes of smoked haddock running through. Definitely worth a visit.
Haven't had fish and chips this good for a while.
Grabbed a takeaway cod and chips with pickle and onion.
Chips were crispy and soft in the middle, cod was cooked to perfection, fresh fish with a light crispy batter, pickle and onions fresh and crisp, all served in a Box in a paper bag still lovely and hot time I got home, will definitely eat in next time.
Fish and chips at its best served by friendly welcoming staff.
Always good authentic fish and chips, as well as other menu items. Eat in price is way too expensive tho compared to take out. Highly recommend the place. Busy times waitors tend to forget you.
Haddock is very tender and delicious with fish and chips.
A place where you enjoy a large variety of very tasty fish dishes...A bit overvalued but let's not forget that the place is within the Village Park village, i'll visit it again and again...
The best fish and chips I had in London! I loved the packaging, and the fish was crunchy outside yet soft and juicy inside! Absolutely delicious! I had the regular scampi which was amazing and the portions are abundant! Furthermore the price was reasonable: one Diet Coke and the meal around 9.50£! I will definitely come back 🤩
Wow! Battered sausage and chips were crisp but not greasy and the curry sauce was absolutely electric! I was served by a lovely staff member named Stella who was quick to help with everything and had a nice chat with me. I can’t wait to try the fish next time I come back! Consider fish house: fish HOME
