I just found a gem. After a Great time in the British Museum I felt a strong need for somewhere retro to eat so I walked down Museum road and then down Drury Lane and found an absolute gem of a place! The Sun pub is a lovely happy retro with a wonderful atmosphere first rate service and... traditional real pie and mash with gravy. Done propper! Excuse me really strongly getting keen on this but if you want to really enjoy a proper British pie mash and gravy come to this place and ask for the: "Mothership" and pick your choice of pie. It is the best way of serving pie mash and gravy that I have yet met. I went for: 'Moo & blue', which was beef and Stilton in a perfect balance for the dish.

Great venue and the selection of comedians are brilliant. Laughs all the way. Great and quick service. A little bit more space would be nice in the seating but overall a great night out.

I'd have to say, this is most likely one of my favourite pubs in London. A very friendly gentleman who manages it so I'd highly recommend speaking to him. Alongside that, it's right opposite the Top Secret Comedy Club which is always brilliant and has some excellent comedians.

Had a great time at this pub & the warmest welcome. We took a hen party there & Herman couldn’t have been more accommodating. Delicious food, great atmosphere, friendly staff, perfect.

I offer this pub one less star than perfect because of its size, not that they can help it but meeting with other people here was quite tricky because it is tiiiiiny. The drinks and service from the staff were all fantastic.
