I've been craving a chocolate croissant all day, so whilst wandering through Farringdon this lunchtime I decided to pop into Paul for some french food with my friend Matt. The croissants, unfortunately, looked a little burnt and on the small side, and to be honest not as good as a Pret chocolate croissant which are absolutely magical.

Anyway having failed at my croissant mission I decided maybe I should have a proper lunch instead and went for the tomato and mozzarella sandwich. The portion was generous though you'd hope so given the price of it. Could've done with more evenly distributed pesto but top marks for the massive wedges of mozarella.

Dessert was a strawberry tart... Heaven. Plus strawberry = health right? Matt ate his chocolate cake in record time so I'd say this was a thumbs up from both. The only problem was the price, this was a pretty expensive lunch whim.

The real French is nothing like the ones pretending to be as such. Paul has a heavenly selection of bakeries, and I could just start a second breakfast after the first here.  Pastry and sandwiches are so elegant and tasty, and I just like staring over the counter and linger on, instead of a takeaway.
Also a flattering choice for coffee and croissant lovers, and try anything with chocolate and respect the artisans :)

I love Paul's desserts and sandwiches. This is a great place to go to lunch and is bigger than many of the Paul's that I've been to. Also, the location is convenient and close to Farringdon Station. If you're a fan of French pastry and desserts it's a must visit for you!

Anywhere that does an NHS discount is immediately in my good books, and Paul tops this off by delivering a surprisingly individual and artisan array of baked products from a chain cafe.

I often drop by for coffee and a croissant for around £2.50 which is excellent value and, if you are lucky, the croissants will just have come out of the oven = bliss. If you like your food rich then their hot chocolate might be the thing for you - intensely chocolatey with a consistency almost like lava - i can only ever manage about half but it is so decadently good!

Their bread on its own is equally good and you can drop by and pick up baguettes to take home if you wish - the perfect base for a homemade sandwich at lunch.

Their seating inside is ample as it is rarely full and I have spent many a good morning there with a couple of friends watching the world go by as we drink our lattes.

It's a great alternative to the Starbucks and Pret's of the world.

Best chain sandwich place in London. Well better than Prêt-à-manger and EAT. Great variety of sandwiches and very good bread. Shame they do not have this menu system like they have in France, it would make the experience a lot cheaper overall. Their deserts are also very tasty.

I love Paul! you get real quality when you have lunch here. They've some how managed to keep a very regulated artisan way of making bread and cakes. The Moelleux Au Chocolat is just incredible. The coffee is great too. You can buy really nice bread here for a fair price, as well as sandwiches for £ 3.95 that are really good. I recommend the Poulet Pavot, and the Mozarella Ciabatta. When the sun is shining they have a nice seating area just outside. Really wish I worked near Paul's so I could have lunch there all the time!

An average coffee shop in this chain without anything remarkable. It's usually pretty quiet during lunch hours and the selection of food seems to be smaller compared to some of their other locations.

Been there a few times, a quiet and warm atmosphere, the coffee is great, there's a good selection of delicious/fresh sweet and savoury snacks/sandwiches. The staff are very welcoming and friendly. The only little negative comment would be about the absence of proper cups, as I always get served in the takeaway ones when sitting in. Overall a very pleasant place.

We went for a beverage chat after work and even though they were closing soon. The three young ladies were very lovely. I always understand that the catering and hospitality industry is not the easiest and to get a smile at the end of their working day was admirable and cute. Thank you ladies 🫶🏽🥰

Stopped for a quick coffee break. Lovely doughnuts but cake was a little disappointing. Coffee was good and a nice little cosy place although can and did get pretty busy. In the summer I’d imagine this would be better as there was outside seating. Staff were friendly enough and service was quick. Awesome thanks.

Great customer service! I talked to Damian yesterday...really friendly, charming and observant guy. You need to keep him!! I bought more than I actually wanted, because of his recommendation. The food was good. Delicious baguettes and little sweet pastry.

Paul is a consistently good chain and this branch has friendly staff that are good at recognizing their regulars and serving with a smile. There’s a great breakfast deal for coffee and pastries but don’t leave it too late as the Pain Chocolat go fast. Loads of great pastries and beautiful cakes make this a good daily indulgence or a place to pick up something a little special for your friends and family with a sweet and discerning tooth.

A great location close to Barts hospital, Farringdon Station and the Elizabeth Line. Part of a chain serving light lunches and patisserie, both of which are good. The staff are helpful and the service is fast.

A good sandwich, quiche and pastries bar. French style and largely for eating in. Good selection and very tasty. Most items are already constructed rather than the usual British custom built sarnies for takeaway. Friendly service. Not really enough seats and table clearance a bit patchy.

A 10 for Natalie's attention, I'm a bit special for coffee but she knew how to do it and what's more, she did it better than I wanted by recommending me a super rich oat milk. Thank you for your service and dedication to what you do.
