Lovely pub. The atmosphere in this pub is extremely pleasant and the food is very tasty and well prepared. Had an excellent dessert of banana split with toffee ice cream, nuts and honeycomb. I don't have a very sweet tooth but I couldn't resist this one! Good service and with the possibility of dining in their very pretty outdoor garden when the weather warms up, I will definitely be back!

First we were six, possibly eight. And then we were three. And one was on time. Two were late. Thank God for Time Out. And St. Peter's Organic. How restaurants put up with us, I don't know. That being said, I am somewhat proud of Rutton in that he took TH

The atmosphere was amazing they have great indoor and outdoors too. The services are on the top. Rest of the food quantity is very less compare to other places near to St John wood. They don’t have lots of options for side not Nachos with share with group of people. Less options to have food but for drinks it’s great.

A huge venue, we booked a table last minute and were sat outside on a rare, sunny day. Because the venue is massive, staff are worked to the max but everyone is incredibly nice and friendly. We got the Sunday roast to share, with gravy on the side and sauces (horseradish, mint). The food was surprisingly good and reasonable cost-wise. A solid pub Sunday roast, there was a great selection of veggies and really nice meat (pork was particularly good). Gravy was good and portions were generous. Definitely a safe better for a last minute Sunday roast. We also played a few boardgames and didn't feel rushed or that we needed to leave, so it was great we could relax in the sunshine. QR codes still work if you want to order to your table. Would definitely go again.

Very reasonable pub close to very busy areas but has managed to retain a bit of the tradicional pub vibe. Perhaps it helped we were there a bit out of hours but we had no issue finding a table for 5 upstairs. Good quality food as well as the service that was attentive without being overwhelming. I would go again if it happens that I'm around this area.

We had a really nice dinner at the engineer, I would with pleasure return to this pub. The staff was really great, we sat upstairs and we felt welcomed and taken care off with a nice attitude and smiles. The beer and the food also completed the experience, what at the beginning was just a pint evolved in tasting some classic dishes and we were completely satisfied. They have also a wonderful garden that is perfect to enjoy in warmer days

First time in England I was recommended to try a classic Sunday roast. As I am vegetarian this seemed hard to find but I was surprised when I saw this place had that option and went with my mother to try it out. Absolutely amazing, the gravy, the vegetables and the roasted nuts! 100% recommend trying it out

Cosy pub with good menu items. Steak was delicious - little rare for me but that’s ok, was tasty. Catered for Gluten Free really well including telling me about a sauce option to make sure whole meal was GF. Wine was 👌🏼

I was a party guest at The Engineer today, whilst the temperature was over 30 degrees, the staff kept their cool. The service was impeccable and charming. Each tray of food was beautifully presented and staff carefully glided around the garden making sure drinks were topped up and nibbles always to hand. Carafes of water with mint and lemon were regularly replaced. Ice buckets never ran dry. No one in the UK can have had a better party today. Thanks to all, especially those coping under difficult conditions today in the kitchen. This guest was impressed. Tom and his team excelled . Charlotte F.

🚇 Chalk Farm 🍺 £6.10 Pravha ❤️ A quality Primrose Hill boozer and great all rounder. . Located on a leafy street and close to Regents Canal is The Engineer Pub. The nearest tube is Chalk Farm which is just under a ten minute walk away. . This pub was built mid 19th century and is named after Isambard Kingdom Brunel. The pub was modernised in the early 90’s to protect its future and taken over by hospitality heavyweights Mitchell’s & Butler’s in 2011. . The decor here is contemporary with some funky furniture and wallpaper. The servery is L shaped and has ornate traditional glass cases at the back. The ground floor has a cosy drinking area on the right and a narrow dining area on the left, upstairs there is a boldly decorated additional dining area. At the rear is a large beer garden complete with TV. . Even though this pub is food centric, beer drinkers are well looked after. There are plenty of keg and craft options plus three cask to choose from, I had a pint of Prahva which hit the spot and cost just over £6. The food menu is a combination of pub classics and more adventurous gastro-style dishes, Fish & Chips costs £17. . The atmosphere here was excellent, there was a real buzz around every nook and cranny. The pubs was packed with people from all walks of life. At the bar were a couple of Texan’s chatting to a local chap, two large groups on a Christmas beano and lots of diners on Christmas do’s. . Primrose Hill pubs are synonymous with dining experiences, but after touring the area I’ve come to the conclusion that this leafy enclave is a great place to come for a drink too. @theengineerpub cemented my thoughts on this, this pub felt like a pub and not a restaurant which was rubber stamped by all the punters who were here for a beer and not for the deer. This is a quality pub and a great all rounder. . ℹ️ Info correct on visiting 10/12/22
