I love love love this place. Great place for vegan food and vegan dessert. You have to go. Owner is super kind, super hardworking and incredibly efficient. I'm definitely going back. I had the mushroomben soooooo good! Saurkraut and vegan cheese with pickles and mushrooms. Soooooooo good. The dessert was amazing too...yummy vegan nut bar.

Great spot on Essex for a coffee or bite to eat. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Grilled cheese with tuna and mayo was hot, crispy and delicious. Iced americano was full of flavour and hit the spot on a hot day. Good vibe and good music playing. Lots of seating in a bright but cozy space. Highly recommend stopping by.

Really great spot for breakfast. We both had pancakes, bacon but I had mine with eggs. Was delicious! Good quality eggs and pancakes. Bacon I asked for extra crispy. It was really good. We will definitely come back. Despite being a really busy Sunday morning, we were able to get a table by 10:30am but it soon filled up. Service was still good despite being busy. Good music on in the background. 80’s/90’s and a good volume (not too loud!).

Trade is amazing! Staff were super nice and helpful, it's cozy inside and they don't bother you if you stay for a bit, the coffee is great, but most of all, the food is amazing! There are unique options that are still super filling - they aren't like those restaurants where the menu is just trying too hard to be unique and then the food comes in tiny portions. It's really good quality and value.

A cute cafe with high quality food and coffee in the neighbourhood! This TRADE is located at a more quiet area, which is in the middle of Angel and Highbury & Islington area. Was amazed by the truffle fries as the truffle mayonnaise was really aromatic with really well-fried fries! Pancake is more of the American style but still could maintain fluffiness - the clotted cream and maple syrup definitely added extra points! The salted beef of the benedicts was a bit too dry but look at the egg yolk! Would definitely try out the other branches of TRADE as this one branch has given me a lot of confidence!

Cannot recommend this place enough. A gem on Essex Road. We turned up for dinner and were warmly greeted. The service was very pleasant, the restaurant was nicely decorated and the music wasn’t loud. We ordered several dishes and all of them were fantastic. The pork belly (which I didn’t take a picture of) was very moist and the salsa on it wasn’t overpowering. The truffle cheese puffs were incredible. I haven’t eaten anything like them yet. The deep fried langosh bread with garlic yoghurt Parmesan and za’atar was better than the langosh we ate in Budapest. It was beautifully light, yet crisp. Finally, the ricotta, honey and figs were also fantastic. The prices and portions were reasonable. I haven’t got anything negative to say at all, so if you want to eat some delicious, yet affordable food, in a welcoming setting, please visit!

Delicious food and great service! The pastrami sandwichs are very tasty and the chocolate caramel brownie is perfectly sweet! They are also dog friendly and very attentive to them.

Excellent brunch spot and every time I’ve been they rarely have a wait. High quality food, nice homemade desserts. Sometimes they run out of the items on the menu so better to get there earlier if you can

Great pastrami sandwich. I haven’t had many in London but this would be the best so far. Delicious meat and good bread to meat ratio. Coffees are also nice. Dog friendly cafe

One of my favorite places for buns! TRADE and from the ashes are my go to on the weekends. That secret sauce mixed with the cheese of the Cuban bun... oh-my-god! Delicious 😋 even though I haven’t been able to go back indoors, I still take the tube to Canonbury just for TRADE.

Went here for their soft opening dinner menu and was certainly not disappointed. Kinda like a tapas style meal with small/medium sized sharing dishes. Had a plum sour cocktail (whisky sour with a plum wine twist) and a cold fashioned (old fashioned with a nice hit of coffee liqueur), both on point. The food menu was really diverse and had quite different cuisines which I thought may have been a bit tricky but they nailed the flavours. Had the truffle cheese puffs (so good they didn’t last long enough for a photo), elote (Mexican street corn), roast cauliflower with red miso and shiitake, honey glazed lamb, and short rib meatballs on polenta. Stand outs were the lamb, cheese puffs (obviously), and the meatballs. After all that managed to fit in a basque burnt cheesecake which was so creamy, and fluffy at the same time. Will definitely be coming back!

This is the best place for dinner around this area. My best friend lives close-by, and we've had Trade's sandwiches many times for lunch when working from his place, and they're amazing BUT dinner's menu and quality is so out of this world it made us reconsider all the rest of the options around. Hands down, the food and cocktails are so good we decided to make it our Friday eve treat. We started off with the corn salad, which I swear tastes like a taco if you close your eyes. We had next the halloumi salad that had so many layers to it we kept finding new ones with each bite. Then we had the cauliflower ajoblanco with canteloupe melon and serrano ham and grapes and it was a f game changer. Such a good combo of flavours that in paper seems odd but works so well. The roasted cabbage with noodles was the cherry on top before the AMAZING meringue lemon pie that was like a digestif I like to think but obviously way more delicious and reminded me of my gran's so much. All this alongside pomegranate margaritas. This place is so good I'm going to be praising about it everywhere I go! PS sorry the pic is so bad we just didn't make it in time to show the food

Great local coffee spot. 5/5 flat whites for that anytime coffee hit - consistently strong and flavoursome brews. Very decent food menu too all made on-site, super fresh and tasty.
