The owners are always polite and will cook anything freshly if not ready. The food is always fresh and service for a restaurant of this type is second to none. Recommended for children, as treated equally well. Prices are more than reasonable and cheaper than some other places locally.
A lovely fish and chip shop the food is lovely and you get plenty of chips and a nice sized piece of fish. The staff are very nice and friendly and the shop is welcoming and warm.

The smash burger is absolutely fantastic very enjoyable one if the best if not the best in the area. The owner is very hospitable and the atmosphere is very relaxed.
Nice little fish and chip shop on Balham High Road. The owners tell me they have been serving residents of balham for years!
Prices are very reasonable (for example large chips, 8 chicken nuggets, 2 sausages and 2 bottles of drink came to £13!) Chips I believe are £3.50 to £4 which is far cheaper than other fish and chip shops in the area. Portion sizes are also very good.
They do accept cash and card payment. I believe card payment is a relatively new thing for them.
The taste of the food is great, no complaints at all.
The only thing I would say is that the interior could do with a bit of a face lift. It does look like going into a fish and chip shop from the 80s when going inside. I also haven't experienced eating in the establishment yet so unable to review this part further.
I see that the owners are very hospitable to customers and can be regularly seen speaking with customers which is great.
To top it off I have seen that they are now on deliveroo which is awesome for them.

Reasonable price, the lady is a part of the community, remembers and asks after you and your family.
Admittedly there has been a very rare not as great meal, but overwhelmingly fantastic chips and fish.
Tip: ask for freshly made fish - it is worth the wait.

This is my guilty treat when I visit Balham Park Surgery. I've only ever bought chips. I don't like fish.
The counter service is warm and welcoming. You get the feeling that you are a valuable customer. Obvious regulars are often addressed by name.
This a great community asset. Hygiene is given top priority. The prices are reasonable. You can even park nearby if you're doing your own take away

Love it, nice and simple fish and chips with no nonsense service from a very friendly owner. To my mind the best fish and chips around, the fish batter is very light allowing you to enjoy the fish, and the chips are well cooked but not over done so as to be stodgy.
Best fish and chips..fish cooked lovely, thin batter, fresh fish...not greasy. Great service too. Your missing out if you dont go there!

This fish and chips is basic from outside, rustic from inside but every time I took a take away there, it's been one of the best fish and chips in the area....the owner is very friendly , and unlike her husband, is always smiling.

Forget the fancy, gentrified and modern fish and chips shops (or bars), naming no names... this place does the best fish and chips in the area by far! Unassuming, good value and friendly, family service.

Excellent food and value for money. Fish is usually cooked to order so you may have to wait a while but well worth it. Friendly and polite service.
I love the owners especially Fatima such a star!! And the fish and chips is the best I have ever eaten!!! So I look forward when I come to work near her shop.
