Great place, I went there years ago when my current wife first came to visit London. The atmosphere was chilled and we hung out in the garden.
I went here last Thursday to celebrate an event with about 20 friends.
Booked a table in advance (No charge) and friends who where later could still come in because of it. It was very busy but it had a good atmosphere with only people who just wanted to have a good time.
Music was great lot's of eighties music which I really like.
All over it was a great night with good service, cheap (good quality) drinks and great music.
Would certainly go back here.
I don't know about the drinks here, but the £5 lunch, house burger with fries was glorious. Handmade patty, brioche bun, cheese, gherkins... First rate! Us yanks know our burgers and this is top notch! Seasoned fries were delish as well.
Exellent top quality cocktails. Nice bar. Music is a better after 10pm. BBQ burgers are awesome and just melt in your mouth. Staff area friendly and helpful.
I like this place. Great beer garden on a nice day. It's especially great earlier in the day / afternoon when it's emptier and calmer. I haven't tried the food but the BBQ smells nice! It's not cheap but it is Fulham!
Packed on Mojito night, so go early. Drink pricing is what you expect for a place like this - £4 up for the cheapest pint. The backyard is a nice place in the summer. They have a BBQ/grill out the back, which is where they grill certain meats on.
They have a nice affordable lunch menu, which is changed daily. With their lunch menu, it would be good if they include a small softdrink in the price. Whetherspoons is around the corner, so you should be competitive against them.
If you're going for a business lunch, this a good place to go. Your customers won't be disappointed.
Nice beer garden for the sunny weather we are having at the moment. We had an afternoon drink and a burger here which was good. Also not too busy on a Sat afternoon so no issues getting a table and would be good for a big group as they have long tables in the garden.
Very nice cocktails (happy hours from 5 to 8PM), delicious hamburgers (average price... £9-£10) and good music as well! The employees are so kind.
Went here for a weekday lunch with a friend. the place was empty but still felt 'warm', and we were seen to very promptly by a polite and chatty member of staff. The food menu was disappointing as there were only a handful of options so I was dubious. However the food arrived swiftly and the quality of food turned out to be extremely good. I would return here and would reccommend, however it wouldn't be my first choice as the food options are very limited.
A party of 6 of us visited The Elk Bar to check out the Big Smoke - their BBQ menu. We're all meat connuseurs so were excited to see what they had on offer and we weren't disappointed. The burgers were great, huge and reasonably priced. The ribs looked amazing as well, although they didn't have enough to fulfil our order. Cocktails were two-for-one until 8 so we were pretty merry by the time we ordered food, leading me to opt for the Man V Food challenge - 30 wings of your choosing (hot), chips, coleslaw and 3 shots of spiced tequila. Not an impossible challenge, but certainly an uncomfortable one, with a clean plate being rewarded with a t-shirt, which I wear with pride now.
We perhaps should have planned properly and realised they'd be showing the football which detracted from the experience a bit, our table was right in front of the TV and whilst the place wasn't full of football fans it was a bit startling to have a couple of guys shouting in our direction every time something happened. A startling is certainly not what you want when you're 27 wings down.
Overall - recommended. Good prices, good food.
Cool bar/club in Fulham. On Thursdays they have 2 x 1 promotions for Mojito´s. The place also offers a terrace with a barbeque where the served food is grilled and cooked. The burgers are the most recommendable meal on the menu. They are delicious! The atmosphere is good. At around 10pm the bar starts playing music (normally commercial hits). It is a good place to eat and have fun with friends.
The Elk is one of my favourite pre-match haunts, for great premium beers and a superb atmosphere.
Great selection of beers, wines and spirits, The Elk also fronts a fine BBQ outside serving some of the best burgers known to man.
Very much, worth spending some time here.
Pricey, but the food is usually great, and it's hard to find much cheaper in this area. Their BBQ is definitely worth recommending. Cocktails are excellent, too, although again -- pricey. Gets rammed over a weekend, and turns into more of a crowded, loud musicy, clublike experience later on, but it's a lot more civilised midweek.
Would definitely recommend the platters, loads of good, american style BBQ food. Very generous portions. One platter is more than enough for two. Good cocktails as well
